The 45th release on Cid Inc's Replug Records welcomes Roger Martinez to the label for his debut single.  Revered by both his fans and contemporaries, the Dutch artist has found a home on some of progressive music's top imprints. Guy J's Lost & Found Records and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music have become outlets for Roger's creative vision, where his music has flourished as a result. Now making his much anticipated debut on Replug Records Roger presents his latest studio creation 'Pan-O-Rama' alongside a remix from Cid Inc.

Presented over two versions, 'Pan-O-Rama' finds Roger at his best with an emotional and deeply engaging production. Rippling waves of bass sit at the foundation, flowing through poignant chord changes as luminous effects add an electric flair. Playful melodies bring a soulful essence, dancing above as buzzing synths initiate the main break. Ever evolving and richly textured, the centrepiece opens up for a moment of sonic bliss, foreshadowing a smooth, rhythmic conclusion that will leave lasting memories on the dance floor. 

Encased in a different percussive wrap, the 'Tribal' version affords the same boundless energy and strong rhythmic core. Clustered chimes present the lead motif in new exciting fashion, while the main break brings palpable tension, as the groove drops amidst a wave of noise and harmonic refrain. Creative and compelling work as always from Roger with two equally excellent versions suited for a variety of moments. 

The lone interpretation of 'Pan-O-Rama' is provided by Replug label boss Cid Inc. Based in Finland, Henri Hurtig aka Cid Inc finished 2016 with a Beatport nomination for Best Progressive House artist of the year. Justly so, as the 12 month stretch found Henri back on Guy J's Lost & Found Records and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, while also returning to Replug for his first original project in over two years. The first quarter of 2017 has already seen Cid Inc travel to Australia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia and Sri Lanka, with another extensive tour of South America on the horizon. Production wise however it's been a been a quiet start to the year for Cid Inc, making his 'Pan-O-Rama' interpretation all the more anticipated. Coming in tougher, darker and more techno inspired it sits as a wonderful complement to Roger's glowing original. Devilishly hypnotic, the first act builds as subtle acid lines and phasing synths enlighten the mind. With the main break commencing tension rises as electronics sizzle, before a calculated build brings a rush of beats and drums inciting a tastefully twisted finale. The music scene is asking for a revolution as the world is going crazy. How should we deal with long winters and days without light?
EINMUSIK answers with peace. His new longplayer "Serenade" brings moments of freedom and magic. The Berlin based producer and live act combines the pace of electronic music with classical composing on Movement I, which is the dance part of the album.
First "Serenade" comes in with industrial cold claps and a techy hook. A typical EINMUSIK track and the start for a cross-genre journey.

Without loosing the drive this album part creates a special relaxed atmosphere. Songs like "Maan" are asking and answering many questions with emotive piano parts. A natural groove, rolling bass lines and redemptive breaks. Samuel Kindermann created his own language which is spoken all around the globe.
In "Biscarrosse" so many international influences come together,"Nightingale" brings a dark vibe to turn into a sunrise later and "Marin" is pumping and shows a new electronical chapter which takes your breath away when it breaks.

On "Nordkapp" everything gets lost - the piano part is breaking trough the clouds slowly, with a clear statement of how to make everything better, just an idea how it can become easier.
With Movement II you can discover a part of EINMUSIK which was behind the curtain but has always been part of his performances. Only a hand full of electronic producers show their passion and love to their own music while performing like he does. And so the track "Cenote" is the start of a deep dive. A cosmic listening experience, slowed down, different and with massive impact.

The sun is shining on the "Nob Hill" - of course this tune brings the California vibe and its easiness. "Prana" starts melancholic before the strings announce hope and love. More bleeps and cosmic vibes in "Ayana" with its big opening moments. Back on earth with "Precious". Let's stay a bit. Everything will be fine.

The latest release on EDGE welcomes Eli Nissan to the label for his debut EP. The Israeli artist has been at the heart of Tel Aviv's electronic music scene for over two decades. As one of the country's most highly touted talents, Eli's rare combination of musicality and dance floor vision has led him to releases on Guy J's Lost & Found Records and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music. Now following an EP for Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records, Eli makes his much anticipated EDGE debut with 'Old Glory Late Romance'.

Spread across three tracks it's the title and showcase piece which gets the journey underway. Warm, dulcet kicks and intricately detailed percussion set the piece in motion, as wispy atmospherics and melodic motifs slowly surround the framework. Warm bass tones only add to its widescreen appeal and foreshadow the emotive storyboard to come. The second act transfers energy further into the subconscious, as the melodic narrative develops amidst a sequence of smooth chord changes and arpeggiated clusters, ultimately leading to a radiant finale.

The EP's second selection 'Aquarius' is more of a mystical creation. Unique and quirky, it showcases the esoteric side of Eli's vast studio skills. Wavy lead motifs percolate on a bed of warm, buoyant bass, as percussive splashes add an effervescent sizzle above. Reflective and hopeful, the tracks centrepiece is one of tranquil beauty, subtly building with organic qualities and transitioning into a buzzing finale with ease. 

Shifting into peak time territory the release is rounded out with 'Reloaded'. On a backbone of pulsating beats comes warm bass swells and layers of organic percussion. Subtle yet poignant, a soft melodic theme weaves its way through the atmospheric glow encasing the framework. Flanked by two interludes the second act shifts energy with aquatic design and free flowing harmonics, before eventually melting down into a trail of sonic artifacts as one final drop ignites your dance floor. 

Now a regular in the sets of Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy Mantzur and Khen, the remainder of 2018 holds much promise for Eli, with 'Old Glory Late Romance' sitting as one of the summer's most sought after progressive house releases. Don't miss it.

Combining a host of established and emerging talents under a seasonal banner, the "Winter Particles 2019" compilation once again showcases the wealth of global talent found in the underground dance arena. Eleven tracks now represent the very best in progressive and melodic house and techno.

Opening the winter selection box, Greek sensation, Savvas, reminds listeners of his attention to detail and melodic prowess through "Mindfulness", while dub.format and Pedro Capelossi and NOIYSE PROJECT hit the ground running with impressive low-end theory as "Mentalist" and "Myth in Manus" combine huge bass prowess with delicate melodic touch.

German star, Wisqo demonstrates why he has been such a hit with the likes of Lump Music and Pipe and Pochet with the elegantly crafted "Limitless" before Kynan Cosma takes a break from his new Sense of Mind moniker to carve out a rasping bass gem and Moog inspired melody in "Sequent" that Bodzin himself would be proud of. Notable for its middle eastern vocal flourishes, E.F.G. then combines a strong rhythmic backdrop and sumptuous chord progressions in "Days and Nights".

Veteran, Rick Pier O'Neil, rarely disappoints and "Shining" is no exception to an ever-growing catalogue of prized jewels, with its dynamic energy, bass prowess and sparkling lead motif keeping the French artist firmly on point. Bosnian, Youngen, immediately impresses with the exquisitely crafted and emotive "Atlantis" that explodes into a chorus of counterpoint motifs.

Argentina's very own Nicholas Van Orton continues his distinctive groove-laden approach to his craft through "Siete Dioses" as haunting melodies and guitar phrasing play a central role in a mesmerising track. Colombian Dabeat departs from fellow countryman and regular collaborator, Kamilo Sanclemente, to shine brightly on a solo outing, "Beyond the Stars", as gated synths and stepped arpeggio present a strong representation of the title and pitched and warped melodies bend space and time. Continuing the outer space theme, Neptun 505 closes the compilation with a shimmering affair that finds a twinkling lead motif illuminating the "Light of a Non-Existent Star" in an iridescent glow, backed by dominant beat, richly textured pads and ticking percussion.

Eleven tracks brightly lit in winter sun gives Particles a crisp, clean edge for its early 2019 collection.

Australian progressive house icon Matt Rowan last appeared on Particles in early 2015. Around the same time, East Cafe released his first remix for the Proton flagship label. Over four years later, the two label stalwarts come full circle with “Heads Down.” Throughout its impressive ten-minute framework, the East Cafe remix synthesizes nostalgic and contemporary tones alike. The Hungarian certainly displays "a level of refinement, detail and depth” by drawing inspiration from the original’s timeless melodic lines.

Continuing his assault on the Proton Music catalogues, Rick Pier O'Neil's 'One Side of the Underground' created an impressive combination of original and remix material. Part of September 2018's Vol. 2, 'Another Side' now receives a pair of new remixes on Yin and Yang.

Hailing from the Colombo capital, Danidu Parinda & Hasith Balasuriya are both successful artists in their own rights. Influenced by icons of the underground dance scene, Danidu hit the headlines with his 'Venna' EP for We Are The Underground in January 2019, while other work for Hydrogen and Massive Harmony have continued a growing portfolio. Similarly, Hasith has seen a nascent production career influenced by the iconic names of Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo and as a regular on such behemoths as BC2, 3xA and Tuxedo's Electronic Tree. 

Joining forces in July 2018 with a remix of Sleg's 'Arusman' for Massive Harmony, a pair of further reworks for PHW Elements and Soundteller now see Danidu & Hasith debut on Yang. Their bouncing, groove-oriented affair combines dancefloor rhythms with a series of pulsating melodic sequences that bristle with verve and dynamism. Taking O'Neil's motifs as a starting point, the Sri Lankan duo have created a raft of original phrases that work intelligently alongside original components in the track's second half.

Cazap & Boskis return to Deersky’s Soundteller Records for a first time collaboration with Niko Rizzo. Hailing from Buenos Aires, the Argentinean duo first appeared on the Polish imprint in October of last year with a contribution to the label’s ADE 2018 Sampler. A standout on the collection, ‘Before Paris’ then went on to be selected by label as part of their prestigious ‘Best of 2018’ compilation to round out the year. Now returning to the label for their first single, Cazap & Boskis join forces with Niko Rizzo for ‘Personal Space’ alongside a remix from progressive house star Black 8′.

The original mix comes in with a smooth and shimmering progressive house sensibility. Groovy and grandiose at points, it’s a composition which balances highly rhythmic bookends with a stunningly gorgeous centrepiece. From deeper, almost meditative beginnings the warm, chugging groove lays the foundation for timely percussive splashes, brilliant tonal motifs and sensory saturating sweeps. The build into the second act is methodical, as layer after layer of atmospheric colour gives way to subtle but poignant modulation and symphonic chord changes, for a highly memorable dance floor moment.

The lone interpretation of ‘Personal Space’ is provided by Black 8 who makes his label debut. Based in Cairo, the Egyptian artist has long been a favourite of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. His progressive minded sound has been showcased on some of the genre’s most trusted imprints such as Hope Recordings, Sudbeat Music and The Soundgarden. Now following a remix for Afterglow and a contribution to Hernan Cattaneo’s ‘Sunset Strip’ Balance compilation, Black 8 debuts on Soundteller with an amazing interpretation of ‘Personal Space’. Exotic drums and a warm, humming low end immediately grab your attention, before you’re effortless taken away into a wall of melody and colour. Staying true to the main theme of the original, Black 8 captures those nostalgic feelings during the main break, before a timely roll and underlying drum flurry transfers energy into a percussive finale. A brilliant remix from Black 8 who makes his Soundteller debut a memorable one. It rounds out another on the money release for the Polish imprint, perhaps one of their most emotive all year in fact. Highly recommended.
