Richard Bona, a Grammy winner and one of Africa’s most celebrated artists, has been one of my biggest inspirations since I first aspired to be a musician. I've studied his work closely for years, and his influence has stayed with me to this day. To now share and merge our creative visions—bridging past and present while honoring the song’s rich heritage—is a true milestone in my career.

Working on this record alongside the golden voice of Africa, Salif Keita, whose original vocals were recorded in 2003, adds an emotional depth I can hardly put into words. I hope you all enjoy it.

Italian producer Lehar returns to Solomun's Diynamic Music this week, after his well received 'Number One Hero' release on sub-label 2DIY4 in March of this year. The new EP, titled Magical Realism brings three scintillating cuts to the fore - you can check out the title track in full exclusively on When We Dip today :)

The Venice artist is fresh from a remix appearance on Toronto imprint My Favorite Robot and a feature on Connaisseur Recordings' highly regarded 10th anniversary release. 2016 is clearly set to be a massive year for the melodic master.

Our crew at the Upon.You Records offices is keeping the release schedule busy these days, constantly scanning the scene for new and upcoming talent and keen to pick an exquisite selection of club tracks for the labels catalogue. Therefore we're glad to announce the arrival of Innellea, a highly talented production team from Munich which has been leaving some marks on the scene with their 2016 singles on Musica Autonomica and Underyourskin Records.Lillith, the first track on this three track single, is on a quite groove tip, presenting a hot, stripped down take on TechHouse as a solid foundation for intricate melodic structures which are ever building up until a warm and welcoming vintage synth motif caters heaps of bass for bubbling crowds.With the title track Apate the Munich-based duo brings in more decent tropical heat for heaving dancefloors which are getting an extra thrill from ever background percussions with a slightly latin-influenced twist, a distinct, repetetive motif, a super dense athmosphere and a sexy as fuck lead organ catering the ultimate, hormone-driven swing to set every club on fire. Finally Imignie weighs in a slightly more futuristic flavour, combining super dry bassdrums and micro sweeps in its intro sequence, later accompanied by a overwhelmingly climactive bass drone and spiralling synths sharing space with mystic atmospheres, all together taking us and the ravers on the floor to new, unexplored realms of out consciousness.

The 11th edition of 'Four To The Floor' is here. Diynamic Music's very own various artist series, which is always comprised of four dancefloor-oriented tracks that have one special quality in common: they have all been heavily road tested and certified by label boss Solomun on his countless gigs all over the world.

Opening the record is a soaring Tech House train with the catchiest electric guitar-turn-string-turn-choir riff you will hear all year: 'Im So Crazy', originally released by Par-T-One in 2001, now remixed by Armonica.

Up next is German Brigante with 'Mango', a thumping bass heavy anthem with lots of old-school elements.

The third track 'Choose Life' by Alexandros Djkevingr & Greg Ignatovich has gained a lot of attention through Solomun's Tomorrowland set and features lyrics of Danny Boyle's critically acclaimed film 'Trainspotting'.

Closing off the eleventh instalment of FTTF is Serhan Guney with his dreamy 'Journey Of The Mind', an ethereal Deep House voyage

Marcus Meinhardt’s track “Hibiskuss” brings pulsating and warm tropical layers together, seducing its listener into total indulgence. The tribal percussions set the tone, shaking and grooving throughout the track and thus providing a framework for the beautiful melody. Having a light melancholic touch to it, which is underlined by the vocal elements, there is still a positive vibe radiating off the track. Through the build up it feels like you are taken on a journey following new, enchanting soundscapes, culminating in a twirl of bliss in the break. Don’t sit around and wait, have a cup of Dr. Meinhardt’s highly recommended “Hibiskuss” tea.

Italian talent Cioz and German duo Super Flu join forces for the first time to deliver the impressive Jodi Bush, due to be released on Crosstown Rebels this September.

The release begins with the progressive sounds of Jodi Bush. Rattling hats converge on staggered synth stabs, whilst guitar plucks provide an emotional aspect to the record. Body Juice fills the B-side in a similarly emotive fashion, with gentle bell chimes and warm, poignant keys.

Inspired by the sounds of Stimming, David August and Stephan Bodzin, Cioz is an artist whose sound does not fall far from the tree of those mentioned already. Melodic and winding in a manner akin to his contemporaries, the Italian is beginning to make real headway in the scene with releases on the likes of Monaberry and now Crosstown Rebela. German duo Super Flu are prolific producers in their own right, with their tracks finding the perfect home on the likes of Moon Harbour and Mule Musiq.
