Brazilian duo RIKO & GUGGA make a powerful debut on Perspectives Digital with a two track EP that showcases their signature fusion of melodic depth and finely tuned dancefloor precision.  Known for blending 80's-inspired synth textures with the pulse of contemporary Melodic Techno, the São Paulo-based pair have cultivated a distinctive sound that's earned widespread support from industry heavyweights like Vintage Culture, Solomun, Adriatique, Nora En Pure, Cassian, Kevin de Vries, and Miss Monique, among many others.

"Valkyrie" opens the release with cinematic flair.  An ethereal lead glides over a propulsive groove, gradually building into a soaring climax shaped by intricate layers and rhythmic tension. Equal parts emotional and explosive, it's tailor-made for big rooms and peak moments on the floor. On the flip, "Prophet" explores darker territory, driven by pulsing basslines, hypnotic arpeggios, and a deeper melodic sensibility.  The arrangement unfolds with intention, weaving elements in and out of focus before locking into a nocturnal groove that resonates both physically and emotionally.

With previous releases on respected imprints like Purified, Siona Records, Running Clouds, and UV, RIKO & GUGGA have emerged as one of the most compelling production duos from Brazil's underground. For those who follow the ever-shifting contours of underground electronic music, few names resonate with as much assured vision as Yulia Niko. Having methodically teased the soundscape of her forthcoming compilation over the past months, she now unveils ‘Body Language Vol. 26’, a record that stands as both a statement of intent and an act of refined curation. Out now via Get Physical Music, the compilation maps an evolving terrain where emotion, texture and rhythm converge with an elegant restraint rarely achieved in club music today. 

Launched in 2005 by Berlin-based label Get Physical Music, the Body Language series has become one of dance music's most essential and enduring mix compilation series. Each edition serves as a curated journey, blending exclusive tracks and remixes that push the boundaries of house and techno. With contributions from luminaries like Booka Shade, WhoMadeWho and andhim, the series has consistently showcased a commitment to innovation and musical depth, influencing both DJs and listeners worldwide. Now, with Vol. 26, Yulia Niko continues this tradition, offering a fresh perspective while honoring the series' rich legacy. 

The project unfolds over eleven tracks, as she unveils a deftly balanced selection that plays like a nuanced narrative. It moves from the effervescent, sun-warmed piano house of ‘So In Love With You’, through to the nocturnal depths of ‘Bad Habits’ – a reverent yet freshly dark reimagination of Jenny Burton’s ’85 anthem, co-produced with Alfonso Muchacho – before arriving at the skeletal, hypnotic minimalism of ‘Just Just’; a deft reworking of a Rework classic.

Central to the compilation’s identity is the never-before-heard ‘Takina’, a collaboration with Alexey Union and Kinky Sound that crystallizes the collection’s ethos. Here, the trio build a layered soundscape that is at once muscular and atmospheric, weaving taut grooves with shimmering melodic detail and careful injections of ethnic instrumentation that add an organic, textured edge. ‘Takina’ is a moment of clarity - a track where the dancefloor’s kinetic energy is distilled through a lens of emotional depth and technical sophistication. It is a track that doesn’t shout but commands attention, embodying the subtle power that runs throughout the compilation.

Matador is back on his RUKUS label, this time with Kyozo for one new collaboration and one solo track.

Irishman Matador is an underground mainstay who has constantly innovated in the studio and always serves up scintillating soundtracks in the club. From early minimal techno to his more recent explorations of rich melodies, prog synths and cinematic grooves, he always leads from the front. Here he works with London based Kyozo, who has recently made waves on Drumcode collaborating with Adam Beyer.

'Easy Up' is an atmospheric and deep roller with soft but firmly rooted kicks and wispy synths. There's a sense of suspense as it unfolds, with vulnerable male vocals adding to the fragile motions while the bassline adds real weight. It's a great trip that makes a lasting impact. 'Another Level' is more edgy and direct. Searching, sonar-like blips pulse over the progressive drums while more stark chords light things up with a futuristic twist.

These are two well crafted tracks that blend immersive sound designs with real club-ready energy.

The Frankfurt-based artist has been bubbling up in recent times. Her Truesoul debut ‘Phantom Touch’ is a gem. Inspired by the hypnotic energy of Alex Garland’s 2014’s sci-fi/thriller ‘Ex Machina’, the track is an eerie slice of electronica created with Avis Vox’s beloved MS-20, that can likewise fit into a range of sonic settings – encompassing techno, progressive, death disco and industrial.

“If we talk about the meaning of ‘Phantom Touch’ it is a monologue by artificial intelligence in which it talks about its desire to experience human feelings. As the track unfolds, these desires become deeper and more vivid,” Avis Vox shares.
