Its been more than six months since I’ve had the last chance to play some music in front of a crowd. I tried to put all of my hope, my love & dedication as well as my anger into this DJ mix. This journey reflects what I would be playing in the morning hours at a club such as KaterBlau and some melancholic-melodic moments to just make you fly away. The latest addition to the Definition:Music catalogue comes from German Tech-house producer Fabio Montana, who brings Francys and Channel X for remix duties. From the start Fabio lets us know where we’re and fills the cup with bass and rhythm. From there we rise on a brilliant atmospheric tour through the Mantikor stratosphere. Menacing swells, catchy percussion and a keen sense of composition bring this track together and allow for a massive attack on the dancefloor. Francys then takes this and dials up the energy a tick to give us a beast of a remix. ‘Axes of Evil’ follows a similar path, dark, dirty and sweaty. Here the synths bubble, eventually boiling over into a hot mess of bass and melody. And finally, Channel X’s remix puts an exclamation mark at the end of the EP taking no prisoners with their heavy-handed, full-blooded techno remix; terrifyingly delightful.

Born out of a shared vision of musical inspiration, the duo of D-Nox & Beckers has, over the last 10 years, firmly entrenched itself into the landscape of the worldwide electronic community. Working as a perfect fusion of studio expertise and an impeccable dancefloor touch, this creative combination of Christian "D-Nox" Wedekind and Frank Beckers has become a an unfailing source of massive grooves which have successfully infected (infiltrated?) all corners of the globe. With more than a quarter century of combined DJing and producing experience between them, D-Nox & Beckers effectively merge a seasoned musical grounding with a dynamic creative spark that never fails in its ability to adapt to the ever-changing vista of electronic dance music.

Prior to the beginning of their collaborative work, both D-Nox and Frank Beckers were each well established in the electronic music scene, with a multitude of success both as DJs and in the studio. D-Nox began his career in Germany's vibrant techno scene in the early-90s, and quickly became a fixture in clubs across the country. In the time since their debut release saw the light of day in late-2004, the emergence of D-Nox & Beckers has been nothing short of astounding. Their numerous releases on a variety of top labels along with constant remix requests for artists such as Minilogue, Lützenkirchen, Nick Muir, Tocadisco and many others have become ubiquitous on worldwide dancefloors, with their works appearing in the cases and playlists of countless top DJs. Their 2007 album Left Behind on Electribe was met with acclaim and led to a heavy worldwide touring schedule with constant appearances in thriving musical centers in Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Australia and across the globe. This week we are honoured to have Marcus Meinhardt for flow sessions 009. The Berlin veteran delivers a energy packed deep house and techno set that has serious weight. Thank you Marcus for joining us and for those listening in, thanks for being back. Buckle in, more next Friday.

Marcus Meinhardt was already in touch with music in his early youth. No later than the beginnings of the 90's, when techno started to establish in the german clubs, his passion for electronic music was lid and it became an elementary component of his life.
It was then, when the autodeduct turned to an activist. As MUNA and later as a member of the SMS Team, he managed to enlarge his know-how in the domain of spinning records. Soon own ideas and projects followed- some finding their way into the capital: Heimspiel, Vereinshaus, Micasa and last but not least his own event alignment- the successful Home-Sweet-Home which provided him an important platform for a musically free expansion, ever since enjoying a steady growing popularity. Due to his driving sets, Marcus Meinhardt- the Berlin boy by choice- achieved more and more appreciation- enjoying success as a dj in almost all leading clubs and established festivals in Europe.
With the production of his own tracks he bringed from a dj to a self made music producer- releasing his first EP in 2004. 
Together with his friends and colleagues Marco Resmann and Hawks Grunert, he launches his own Label: Upon You Records on January 1'st 2007. Here he is enlarging his career as a musician even further. Since then he is providing a playground of the special kind for his label artists, musicians, music colleagues and friends- nationally and internationally.
