My friends!! ...please enjoy my sunrise set from Disorient at Burning Man 2013.  The man had just burnt and the playa was at his highest capacity ever.  The set began in the darkness and the sun came up right around 2:08:00...and if you listen close enough, you can hear the one-more-song chant that broke out around 2:47:00.  

I want to personally thank Disorient for having me and for the amazing people who danced along...your energy was the best medicine.

My essential mix was created with a sunrise set on the robot heart bus in mind out at Burning man, 2015. I played the actual set at BM pretty much the same time this mix was broadcast on Radio one. I don't usually plan mixes out but for this one special occasion I purposely created a similar flow and some of the mixes featured here. Enjoy!

I like to imagine sometimes where the music will travel to. Who it will be given to or shared with. Whether it will be played at an after party in London or listened to on a set of headphones while watching the sun rise from behind a mountain in Tibet. I wonder which tracks you'll fall in love with instantly and which will grow on you as time passes. 

I know this is a really long mix and the journey into it and out the other side takes some commitment but, on the plus side, it saves you having to look for anything else to play for ages and ages.

 I hope you love the tracks as much as I do and thanks for listening.

david hôhme - Bubbles & Bass Sunrise, Burning Man 2018

It was Monday midday and I had just pulled out of the Burning Man desert. I turned on my phone and the first notification was from my agent: “You think you can make it to Buenos Aires this Saturday? They want you at the Bow!” ...and just like that, one week after I played my yearly Bubbles & Bass sunrise, I was on a plane heading to Argentina.

Buenos Aires has very quickly become one of my favorite audiences in the world and I have no doubt that I will continue to play there for years to come. And even though I was there again back in January, I wanted to commemorate my first time by releasing this set, live from The Bow, September 18th 2018.

Lovers of Music! Here we go again, this time with a 2,5 hour live set I played at AfrikaBurn earlier this month. Being at AfrikaBurn is always such a highlight of the year for me. Being there with people I love and then playing for a crowd who really likes what I am doing! (Lucky me ;-)) This year I played for the Leopard Mafia on Wednesday and on Thursday for the Space Cowboys. The week before I played at another sold out Suikerbossie in Cape Town (thanks to Caroline/Karen to make that happen again). So I already had a nice warm-up for the South African crowd. I never have expectations before I play somewhere because I always want to go all-in with a blank mind. And so I did on this trip as well. But knowing what the crowd and atmosphere was the years before I always feel very excited to bring some nice pieces of music with me. Please listen yourself what happened during this sunset set. After ‘Follow The Sun’ we went into nighttime mode and although the temperature dropped my heart was heated by the love and happy faces I saw in front of me. Hasta La Vista and till next time! It’s been a while since I played DISTRIKT last. After this years experience I’m somewhat kicking myself. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a crowd at Burning Man so wild and fun. The party was electric. Fire! And, it was only Tuesday. ‘Pacing it’ was obviously out of the question for the five thousand or so that joined me. The Robot Heart bus rolled up and plugged in. Hoj tore the place up before me. Our day party extended into night and most of us left with a smile on our faces and an electricity that carried us forward. Beautiful people swung above the crowd in a birdcage (is that safe I kept asking myself in my head)and hips wiggled and swung while the multi-level dance floor bumped and bounced. Basically, best day party at Burning Man ever ever. So, thank you DISTRIKT for giving me an extended set and an amazing party to play. Let’s do it again next year. It’s a date?

"It was a warm Thursday night and I rode up with my crew to the Mayan Warrior linked up with Robot Heart and couldn’t believe my eyes. 
In 9 years of Burning Man I had never seen so many people at one party. 
I always choose to play just one event during the week at Black Rock, preferring to spend the rest of my days and nights exploring and enjoying all the various levels of this incredible experience without the hassle of running from one party to the next. And preparing for my set around 7am I sensed that this was going to be a magnificent morning. I was a little nervous but I had those good butterflies swirling and as the vermilion hue of the pre-dawn began to rise, I stepped up and played this set that you can listen to now. 
I will never forget it.
Being invited to play the Friday sunrise on both buses was a dream come true and I’d like to thank all the thousands and thousands of people that joined me for this special moment and to the dedicated heroes of the Burn that made it possible.
