The latest edition of our free download series welcomes Arude for his first appearance. As a fixture of the electronic underground for the better part of a decade, Ukrainian artist Arude is perhaps best known for his twenty-plus appearances on long-standing Berlin imprint Steyoyoke. It was this creative swell which set the stage for more recent projects via Beatfreak, Eklektisch, Radikon and Renaissance, all of which have been ideal landing spots for his elusive sound. An in-demand remixer for sometime, it was earlier this year that Arude took to re-interpreting ‘The Sound of Violence’ by French electro duo Cassius. Originally released in 2002 via Virgin Records and highlighted by vocals from Steve Edwards, the dancefloor anthem has the distinction of being the duo’s only track to reach #1 in the hugely influential Billboard Music Charts. Hailing from Israel, Adam Sellouk first emerged in 2021 with a contribution to Steyoyoke’s Paradigm collection. Immediately recognized for his astral sound, Adam quickly caught the attention of world class DJ Miss Monique, who signed him to her Siona Records imprint for a two-track showcase later that same year. 2022 would see further successes for Adam, with Nora En Pure’s Purified imprint being the landing spot for ‘Mirage’, a well received production which saw play from Agents of Time, Innellea, Kevin de Vries and Mathame. Also an accomplished DJ, Adam has been a fixture of his country’s nightlife of late, programming music for some of Tel Aviv’s trendiest venues. A recent highlight of Adam’s sets has been his much requested rendition of Empire of the Sun’s ‘We Are The People’. With a career that spans over three decades, Hernan Cattaneo has recorded eleven albums, thirty singles and fifty remixes, all while touring the world delighting passionate music lovers with his impeccable taste and exquisite programming skills.

Meanwhile, Australian artist Jamie Stevens has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his three-decade long career. As one of his country’s most talented and sought-after artists, Jamie has proven his skill in professional sound design, film scores and contemporary electronic music. Prolific and consistent in equal measure, Jamie has enjoyed a creative swell in recent years, landing releases via Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream, John Digweed’s Bedrock Records and Guy J’s Lost & Found.

The third member of the trio is American artist, DJ and promoter Anton Tumas. With a career that spans well over a decade, the Los Angeles resident has left an inevitable mark on the underground scene through his Subtract On The Pier residency and burgeoning Subtract Music imprint.

Last year the trio combined their extensive forces and took to reworking Pink Floyd's ‘Breathe (In the Air)’. Released in 1973 as part of the band’s iconic ‘The Darkside of the Moon’ album, the much lauded song remains as one of the group’s most revered and recognized creations. After several live airings by Hernan Cattaneo, perhaps most notably at BNP Open Life, the trio’s take on the iconic song has been shrouded in mystery, with fans hypothesizing who reworked the track in such grand fashion. The latest installment of our free download series welcomes Onurcan Kaya with his take on ‘Massive’ by Drake. The Turkish artist first emerged in 2021 with a release via 4or Records, a release which would make him a name to watch in the world of melodic house and techno. The next two calendar years would see Onurcan add Astral Records, Melodic Room and VTOPIΛ to his resume, in turn earning support from Fideles, Kevin de Vries, Øostil and Tale Of Us, among others. Also an accomplished DJ, Onurcan has been a fixture of his country’s nightlife of late, programming music for some of Turkey’s trendiest venues. A recent highlight of Onurcan’s sets has been his much requested rendition of Drake’s ‘Massive’. As the second single from the Canadian hiphoper’s 2022 album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’, the track would go on to achieve critical and commercial success, ultimately peaking at #2 in the UK dance charts and #11 on Billboard’s Electronica Hot Dance. Hailing from Israel, Adam Sellouk first emerged in 2021 with a contribution to Steyoyoke’s Paradigm collection. Immediately recognized for his astral sound, Adam quickly caught the attention of world class DJ Miss Monique, who signed him to her Siona Records imprint for a two-track showcase later that same year. Melodic house and techno tastemakers Agents of Time, Innellea, Kevin de Vries and Mathame were the first to chime in with support, as subsequent releases via Eleatics, Purified and UPPERGROUND followed across the next two calendar years. Seemingly in constant motion ever since, 2024 has proved to be a breakout year for Adam, adding Afterlife, Stimulate and Tomorrowland to his release resume, as well as touring the world showcasing his impeccable taste and exquisite programming skills. Argentinean DJ and producer Emi Galvin has consistently defied expectations throughout his much-lauded decade-long career. Through the success of early tracks like 2016's ‘Taking Over’ and ‘Universe’, the Buenos Aires resident emerged into one of the progressive scene’s most promising talents. A rich musical background with time spent in rock bands playing guitar and singing gave Emi’s electronic compositions a measurable creative edge. This elusive sound did not go unnoticed as he quickly earned the praise of genre tastemakers Cid Inc, Eelke Kleijn, Guy J, Guy Mantzur, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren; while landing career defining releases via Balance, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden. Meanwhile, hailing from Germany but now based in Brazil, D-Nox has continued to thrill fans with both cutting edge music and enlightening DJ sets. Whether operating in solo capacity or as one half of D-Nox and Beckers, the German artist lays claim to an impressive resume, highlighted by releases on Bedrock, Einmusika, Sudbeat and his own Sprout imprint. Having previously worked together for Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank imprint, Emi and D-Nox also took to re-imagining Underworld’s ‘Dark & Long’ earlier this year. Now over thirty years old, the Original version was the lead track on the British band’s third and most critically acclaimed album ‘dubnobasswithmyheadman’. As a favourite of Sasha, Digweed and a host of other A-list DJs, there are few productions which have stood the test of time in a more enduring fashion.
