Copenhagen duo Baime released the original “The Damned” track way back in 2017, and wow for a ride it’s been for the two Danes since then!

When it was first released, it was Baime’s own label Blindfold Recordings who did the honors as part of a mini compilation called “Night Vision” (definitely worth checking out again - even though it’s already been four years, this compilation still hits). The track became immensely popular very fast and catapulted Jens Christian and Mikael, the two members of Baime, into immediate stardom in the electronic underground scene. Sasha and Nick Warren were among the early adopters, for instance, and many more A-list names joined.

This remix package honors the original track in every way. The arp you hear throughout the track is kept as a trademark sound on all of the remixes, yet there are subtle changes here and there that lift up the track to the sound of today. 

Ivory makes “The Damned” light-footed and delicate, like raindrops in a forest, whereas Arude has enveloped the track in a tense battle cry from an exotic land. These two versions are almost each other’s opposites, one sounding like nature and harmony and the other like man-made chaos, both with an exhilarating vigor. Matthias Schuell has chosen a different sound that’s more tech-y and dark club themed, something that sounds like everything we miss from late night clubbing and sweating masses of music-hungry people. Thodoris Triantafillou delivers a summer take of “The Damned” with hints of Balkan.

What unites them all is a love for the original track that really shines through in all four versions. “The Damned” had a good run in 2017 for a number of great reasons, but this remix compilation just goes to show how evergreen a track it really is.

2018 will see him launch his own label, but to keep you syked with anticipation the Toronto based DJ and producer drops an upbeat arpeggiator driven dance floor pleaser here with 'Apathy'. The infectious bassline is sure to work like a charm, a sure crowd favorite this one!

'Apathy' is our final single release of 2017. A proper way to end this we think! But of course we always end the year with our annual Manualism compilation, so be sure to keep an eye for that one as well.

Pysh is moving mountains, with releases on leading melodic techno labels such as Traum, Einmusika and Steyoyoke. This time he comes with a great EP on the Indian imprint @qilla Records! Here we present you the remix of fellow producer Midnight Traffick of his song "Journey" that will be released on June 11th. Midnight Traffick is well on his way to becoming yet another Indian rising star with releases on Qilla Records as well. 

Midnight Traffick's remix starts of with a techy bass and straightforward techno beat, making it very DJ-friendly. Before long, he introduces a set of percussive elements that is part of his sound. The track progresses slowly, with more and more sounds coming into play. The entire piece stays quite minimal and mesmerizing until about halfway where a dissonant synth takes up the attention. From there the track really opens up with multiple synths taking the listener's attention. Finally the track climaxes into a strong breakdown filled with percussion and juicy snares!

microCastle begins the summer season by welcoming Ivory to the label for his debut EP. Based in Milan, Daniel Tagliaferri aka Ivory is an Italian producer, DJ and guitarist who has enjoyed a rapid ascent through the electronic underground. Long a favourite of Dixon, John Digweed, Lehar, Nick Warren, Tale Of Us and Trikk, Daniel's music has found a home on some of the world's trendiest record labels, most notably Atlant Recordings, Azzur, Bedrock, Chapter 24, Isolate, MoBlack and Kompakt. Now following his critically acclaimed 'Hyper' EP, Ivory presents his microCastle debut 'No Scale Can Resize You'. 

Spread across five tracks, the 'No Scale Can Resize You' collection is a blend of dance floor inspired storyboards and contemporary electronica. Beginning with the pulsating energy and buzzing design of the Tale Of Us championed title selection, to the quirky musicality and cosmic funk of 'Biscuit', it's Daniel's' borderless scope and creative vision which resonates on a high frequency here.

Anchoring the EP's midway point is the much anticipated 'Pfauneinsel'. Already a favourite of Lehar, it's a tough yet hypnotic piece driven by unique rhythmic concepts and a flair for the dramatic. Most solemn perhaps is 'Romantic Circuits', whose astral arps and robotic vocals fuel this indie-tech gem, before perfectly segueing into the journey's closer 'Biggest Eyes On Earth'. Once again played by Tale Of Us and surrounded by much hype, it's reflective qualities are both emotive and timeless, rounding out a collection of music which has already made its mark on the world's most rebellious dance floors. For Daniel it's a unique anthology, one of boundless inspiration and endless possibilities, as he describes.

"Music is always about storytelling, 'No Scale Resize You' is a collection of short stories where there's not words, they give way to melodies, sounds and percussive elements to sing a song full of grace, delicate groove hypnosis and evocative soundscapes. Every sound has been modeled to create a parallel universe, with magical creatures that speak to us through synths and sound design. Drawing this EP was like a flow of consciousness, many different musical influences converged like rivers to create a unique body of water, one that reflects the soul of these musical tales, dark atmospheres, middle-eastern melodies, robotic beats, dreamy pads, wistful strings and analogic arps; where every part is an element of the same wild land discovered during the listening. An epical journey about strength, bravery, magic, mysticism and love. An island made by incantations and charming, fantastic animals, where you can be a dwarf or a titan, it doesn't matter, every hero has his greatness in the constant search to reach his dreams."

The 73rd release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital begins 2020 with the sparkling "So Corrupted" from Mehmet Akar. A pair of outstanding remixes by veteran producers Sezer Uysal and Nihil Young 

A producer with a rich artistic pedigree, Mehmet Akar quickly found himself making a sizeable impression in the underground dance fraternity. After success with his "Deep Sounds" and "2nd Resurrection" radio shows, the Turkish producer has hit the headlines with over 150 track credits for some of the industry's finest imprints. Moreover, as a winner of Sasha's "Cut Me Down" remix competition and a 2011 release on Last Night On Earth, Akar has gone on to see his music feature on Global Underground, Beatfreak Recordings, and Outside The Box. Making his debut as part of the "ADE 2017 Sampler", Mehmet Akar returns to Perspectives Digital with the mesmerizing "So Corrupted".

Fellow Turkish DJ and producer, Sezer Uysal, needs little introduction to the Perspectives Digital faithful. An artist of global renown, his work has been signed to a myriad of high-profile imprints that include Stil Vor Talent, Suara, and a remix from Pig & Dan on ELEVATE. Formerly an official remixer for Ministry of Sound and supported by DJ A-listers including Pete Tong, John Digweed, and Hernan Cattaneo, a Perspectives Digital debut sees Sezer Uysal rework "So Corrupted" in inspiring fashion.

Both successful high-profile artists in their own rights, Nihil Young and Talal have found further achievement as a creative duo. Over 1 million streams of his track "Align" has seen Young stand out in a crowded market. His music for Kindisch, Warung, and his own Frequenza Records has seen the Italian produce highly original melodic, deep, and progressive house with a sprinkling of techno. Joining forces with Talal, the London based producer has been a key figure at events including Robot Hearts, Cream Amnesia Ibiza, and Amsterdam Dance Event. Music signed to the likes of Dear Deer, Natura Viva, and Colore have subsequently seen over a century of credits supported by Maceo Plex and Solomun.
