Juicebox Music welcomes back the Saint Petersberg (Russia) based artist extraordinaire - Jiminy Hop. His productions have been widely appreciated by fans and DJs alike, earning releases on progressive-based labels like Nick Warren's 'The Soundgarden' and Stan Kolev and Matan Caspi's 'Outta Limits' to the more house-based labels like Sabb's 'RADIANT.' and Alex Kaspersky's "Dear Deer".

After his successful debut on our imprint with his single - "Tension" in early 2021, which also featured remixes by Aman Anand and Monojoke, Jiminy Hop returns to our imprint with a stunning standalone 3-track EP, featuring "Summered", "Contemplation" and "Desire". The entire EP is a perfect embodiment of its sun-inspired theme with playful rhythms, bright tones and ethereal emotions conveyed through a whirlwind of melodies and harmonies.

Alan Spinoso - Way To The Abyss (Andrés Moris Remix)

Following the massive success of Omniverse, which saw support from some of the biggest names in the scene and reached the Beatport progressive house Top 10, Second Sine returns to Yomo Records with a stunning 3-track EP.

I Was There is a driving progressive gem featuring Andrej's signature sounds including heavy percussion, techy stabs, and atmospheric textures atop an irresistible groove.

Tape Wreck is even more on the techy side of the genre and immediately grabs you with its rolling bassline and cavernous synth stabs. The break with its haunting, complex harmonies allows you to take a little breather before the pounding beats drop back in again.

Within My Heart once again showcases Second Sine's immens production skills. With its lush, almost housey chords and sprinkles of reversed saxophone the track is a deeper affair, yet with enough punch to keep you going on the dancefloor.

Roaring to life as knight and day collide in an explosion of sound and colour, a new nirvana emerges. Finding his groove on Meanwhile with a clutch of impressive productions, Alex O’Rion has been a regular on GMJ and Matter’s best-selling imprint. Reaching a highpoint with May 2020’s “Echium” EP, we now return to O’Rion’s seminal work with remixes from a trio of outstanding artists.

And iconic name within the underground dance industry, Eelko Wijnja has forged a distinctive and innovative sound through his Navar soubriquet. A regular on the likes of Guy J’s Lost & Found, Roger Martinez’s Higher States and Cid Inc.’s Replug, the Dutch star makes his Meanwhile debut with a typically rich and evocative interpretation of “The Chase” that flows gloriously across its near 8-minute journey. Built upon deep kick and rolling arpeggiated synth line, familiar motifs from O’Rion’s original float into sonic range as deeply textured pads and evolving percussive groove wend their way forwards in delicate fashion. An array of sumptuous additional production, courtesy of deep bass and sympathetic new melodies, make their presence felt as the track explodes into the second movement with dancefloor grace. The result is a dynamic interpretation that places Navar at the upper echelons of dance music royalty.

Another familiar name to the Meanwhile cognoscenti, Simos Tagias made an impact via his March 2021 twin-track “Euphoria / Emotion” EP, before September saw a remix of Imran Khan’s “Horizonz”. A veteran of over 400 production credits dating back to a debut for Lynx Records in late 2012, the Greek artist now reworks “Echium” with typical aplomb. Taking the machine-gun hi-hat pattern of the original and a 16th note bass sequence, the meandering melodic themes of O’Rion’s work resonate across a dynamic rhythmic framework. With raw, seething power, Tagias builds intensity that pauses for breath at a haunting breakdown, drenched in reverbs, delays and the stunning motif central to “Echium”, before exploding into the third movement with shimmering effervescence and club-friendly groove.

The final remix sees another Meanwhile favourite enter the fray. An artist who has grown in stature with a slew of releases on the likes of onedotsixtwo, MNL and Proton Music, Sebastian Sellares hit the ground running in April 2021 with his “Dunes at Dawn” EP. This musical triptych showcased the Argentinian’s skill and artistry, while a remix of GMJ’s “Precipice” two months later was another label highlight. Working his production magic on “The Serpent”, Sebastian Sellares has found a way to illuminate the musical phrasing of the original while creating a spotlight that shines on an array of new production material, simultaneously driving the track forward with potent rhythmic force and effortless bassline presence. The result is a searing lead line, rooted in O’Rion’s original, that cuts its way through the second half with acetylene precision, perfectly illustrating Sellares’ sought-after production credentials.

Growing in stature with a trio of towering new remixes from Navar, Simos Tagias and Sebastian Sellares, Alex O’Rion blossoms once again with “Echium”.

Even though Callecat is relatively new to the scene, the Dutch duo have been making a rapid rise to recognition with their continuous high quality output. The maturity of their productions would make you believe they've been around for many years already.

Now returning on Paul Hazendonk's MNL label after last years well received 'Cabin In The Woods' EP and- more recently- their remix for Brann's single 'With No Mask', they delight us with two powerful pieces of progressive house; 'Akrasia' and 'The Alchemist'.

On remix duties we've got industry veterans K Loveski and Namatjira sharing their unique vision on both songs.

Next up, we welcome Simos Tagias to the label with the 'Mantis EP'. 

A prolific producer, Simos Tagias has released with everyone from FSOE and UV to Replug and Mango Alley. Based in northern Greece, he made his breakthrough with Lynx Records a decade ago, and has gone on to create an enviable back catalogue with support across the progressive scene from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Cid Inc.  and more. 

Opening with lead track, 'Mantis', we are quickly swept up in Simos' epic soundscape. Dirty bass and gunshot stabs playfully work against shakers and sidechained pads growing the tension over time. Midway, new synthlines add meat to the bones of this chunky groover before the main break cools things off a touch. 

'Daydreamer' begins apace with gated bass and eerie atmospheres. Dark and moody, the sound design creates powerful mental images as the tracks takes hold. Closing the EP, the tribal rhythms of 'Breath' feel extra funky. Synth washes and sparse percussion give the track acres of space to breathe(!) creating a light breezy vibe. Solid work from one of the scene's unsung heroes.

Probably one of our most proudest remixes to date, which sadly never saw a full release. & has remained an exclusive in our sets.
Our remix of Sun In Your Eyes has been one of the most uplifting & emotional tracks in our sets & was to date our biggest official remix.

After hearing the original mix at the end of Above & Beyond's set at Ministry of Sound & then the following week at ASOT500, we wanted to remix the track so much & having been given the green light by Anjunabeats we produced a remix which has destroyed dance floors in our sets ever since.

With Sun In Your Eyes not being a full release on Anjunabeats, the official Daniel Kandi, Jerome Isma Ae & this remix all remain exclusive to the artists for now.
Definitely nice to be able to have some exclusives for our sets tho!

Above & Beyond - Sun In Your Eyes (Neptune Project Remix)

The 17 year old youngster from Lithuania, Frosun is back with us on PHW Elements today as he bring on his production “Running Out Of Time” with us. This one, an energetic progressive production, full of sparkling elements, driving percussion and a full on groovy stormer that will fit our label philosophy perfect. This young producer is one to watch we feel, as he bring on some really nice structures where he blend elements with great variety. 

Delivering the remixes this week is another strong line-up where we first see the great Yuriy From Russia returning to us once more with yet one more quality production under his belt. He’s definitely put a great deep tweak on it, where he blends well selected pads, deep grooves and an overall fine energy built to perfection. We totally understand why he is one of the most sought producers out there. 

Hailing from Spain, we have the pleasure to introduce some brilliant work on our roster coming from one of our favorites, Erreome. Making his first appearance on PHW Elements, he don’t need any major introduction, as you who follow the scene know all about his ability, shown through labels such as Agara Music, Balkan Connection, Liquid Grooves and Clinique Recordings to mention some of them we’ve seen his work at. With a lovely deep atmosphere built here, through well selected bass sounds, epic melodic arrangements and overall deep textures, he once again delivers some of the finest work there is. We are truly happy to have him on board and we do hope you find a way to support class music like this.

Last out is another debut on the label, as we see the talented and skyrocketing Brazilian artist, Luciano Scheffer joining us. With a string of releases through major labels in the industry lately, he has proven his ability behind the DAW, and today he is delivering a fine interpretation for us. With a chunky feel built, hypnotic and dreamy and still with a good load of energy, he most definitely delivers one to watch out for and we feel great having on board.
