Earlier this year, one of the most special releases on the label saw release.
A Dutch/South African team up, born during the lockdown, and a bit of an experiment from both Singer/Songwriter Tanya van Schalkwyk and DJ and Producer Ruben de Ronde. 

One of the most played artists in the lockdown streams is Moscow based Kostya Outta. His deep, melodic sound signature is like a warm blanket. He took the original elements of 'Lose Yourself' and made it a sexy dance-floor house track.

The artwork is created Stacey Yamada, USAGI & ME, the creator of BLUE, the official mascot of Team Liquid. If you pay close attention, you will see Blue making an appearance on the artwork too!

After an incredible year from which Meanwhile continued to release a panoply of stellar music, GMJ and Matter's imprint begins 2022 in scintillating fashion. Now, with a quarter century of releases under its belt, Matter returns to the label with his second original EP in the shape of the 3-track, "Banksia".

After an incredible 2021, culminating with the November release of his debut "Starchild" album on Meanwhile Horizons, numerous collaborations with production partner in crime, GMJ, and over 1 million Spotify streams, the Melbourne based DJ and producer begins the year with a musical vignette of the highest quality.

Opening proceedings, the title track is a glorious piece of trademark progressive house from the Matter production studio. As mesmerising as it is powerful, an immaculately syncopated percussive and melodic groove combine in joyous harmony as a repeated motif waxes and wanes with filtered ease, backed by thumping beat and rumbling bassline. Huge white-noise swells herald new sonic phases as "Banksia" builds to a powerful crescendo post-breakdown in a spine-tingling second half.

Continuing the deep rolling groove of its predecessor, a seismic kick and head-shaking bass pattern form the foundations for "Burnout". A trademark swathe of filtered synth motifs soon come to the fore amongst waves of gently pulsing white-noise risers, before an Underworld-esque breakdown of bassline prowess and hands-in-the-air synths explode into a third movement. Containing all the characteristics for a club-friendly stormer, "Burnout" is sure to fill festival floors over the antipodean summer.

The third track sees "Magic Rooms" complete the triptych with its shimmering arp and swung hi-hats. Working together in perfect synchronicity, a bassline sequence adds subtle urgency and low-end power before an evolving suite of synth elements combines in a magical symphony of sound that rises and falls in counterpoint glory. A characteristic bevy of reverb-soaked white-noise effects add to the sonic dynamism as the track opens up post-breakdown into a stunning arrangement of production know-how and sonic mastery.

A career that continues to blossom with each successive release, "Banksia" finds Matter coming into bloom once again with an iridescent pattern of musical verve.

Earthly Delights is a record label that releases organic tracks with deep atmosphere and flowing percussion. The label's latest release is a collaborative Afro house EP by Darksidevinyl and Kiberu.

This is the first time that Darksidevinyl and Kiberu have teamed up in the studio, but both are successful solo producers.

Darksidevinyl is an Egyptian artist currently living in Vienna whose style is a compelling blend of melodic synths and tribal percussion. He has released tracks on labels including the likes of MoBlack, Selador, Yoshitoshi, Akbal Music and Go Deeva Records. He is also a talented DJ who is well-known within the Austrian club scene.

Kiberu is a Swiss artist from Zürich who spent many years cutting his teeth as a DJ before translating his innate knowledge of what works on the dance floor into producing music. He has an upbeat style with powerful melodies and his tracks and remixes can be found on scene-leading labels ranging from Systematic to Renaissance Records.

"Catava" opens the release with fluttering synth stabs and a live conga loop giving the groove a loose and free-flowing vibe, which is augmented with steel drums and shaking top-end percussion. Dramatic horn stabs add to the upbeat vibe of this captivating track.

"Zulu" has heavy downbeat percussion layered with an electrotyping arpeggio and a tense melody synth that is underpinned by a chunky kick drum. Utilising vocal chants and shuffling hi-hats, the track is full of majestic suspense.

"Henaia" closes out the release with tribal rhythms and poignant piano chords that are layered alongside an epic synth line. The track's expansive sound is augmented by the psychedelic vibes of the first breakdown section and the spine-tingling tantalisation of the second breakdown.
