We welcome back Poland-based Skyline Project since his debut on Summer Melodies Vol.2, with Distant Horizon that has featured on Summer Melody 100, including a remix from Mexico-based Andrew Frenir.

The original is an upbeat and lively track, piano melodies laying across the track with beautiful pads and synth sounds, delivering the sunrise haze with light warming rays. On the other hand, Andrew Frenir ups the tempo and make it even more upbeat and more energetic. The guitar replacement of the piano and the widen atmospheric pads and vocal chops, heighten and delivering more orange hue on the sky across the horizon.

- The Embodiment of OE's Contemporary Style -

"Compositions in Blue," a quintessential OE, is a testament to the evolution of his style from "Here and You" to "New Classics Vol.1 & 2." Influenced by contemporary music and minimalism, the tracks are infused with catchy melodies and human touches, making the album not only unique but also highly accessible to a wide audience.

In Dark Model's "Impulse," Tatsuya displayed his new direction, trying to incorporate his influences, such as prog rock and contemporary music, into up-to-date electronic sound. While this album, under the moniker of OE, has common ground with "Impulse," compared to its epicness, "Compositions in Blue" feels more sophisticated and delicate. "Mobius," which opens the album, is a dance track featuring female spell-like chants and rhythmic handclaps. "Reincarnation," a larger-than-life tune with elegant orchestration and choir, is reminiscent of Tatsuya's compositions as Dark Model. "Doublespeak" and "Circularity Part 1 & 2" may be the album's best part and embodiment of OE's minimalist style. Some compositions in contemporary music distance or bore listeners with their stiffness and monotony. On the other hand, these tracks, with catchy melodies and colorful song structures, successfully bring them into a wonderland of rhythmic and tricky sounds.

今年1月にアンビエント作品『Suchness 2』をリリースしたばかりのタツヤ・オオエが、早くも新譜を完成。『Compositions in Blue』は『Here and You』から『New Classics』までの路線を踏襲した、いわばOEとしての王道的な作品に仕上がっている。コンテンポラリー・ミュージック色の強いエレクトロニック・サウンドでありながら、キャッチーなメロディやヒューマンな質感がふんだんに盛り込まれた、ユニークかつアクセスしやすい楽曲が収録されている。

プログレッシブ・ロックやミニマル・ミュージックに触発されつつも斬新なエレクトロニックサウンドを指向する姿勢はDark Model
『Impulse』にも通じるものがあるが、Dark Modelの力強い壮大さとは対照的に、OE名義による今作品はより洗練された繊細さを持っている。オープニングトラックの「Mobius」は、ミニマルで呪文的な女性コーラスとリズミカルな手拍子が印象的なダンスチューン。「Reincarnation」は流麗なオーケストレーションとクワイアをフィーチャーしたドラマティックな曲。「Doublespeak」そして「Circularity Part1, Part2」の3曲は、OE流ミニマル・ミュージックとも言え、この名義の真骨頂。コンテンポラリー・ミュージックや現代音楽に見られるような、形式ばった堅苦しさでリスナーを威圧することもなく、躍動感のあるトリッキーな楽曲展開が、おとぎ話の様にリスナーを引き込んでいく。「Vortex」は「New Classics」でも見られた、近未来的で疾走感のあるテクノトラック。

We are as thrilled as ever to bring on new artist to our roster, that feel their music should be taken on to the back catalog of Progressive House Worldwide and today we are able to unleash another melody driven progressive release. This time we are pleased to let Yasuha. loose on the label, as he unarguably is one of the more interesting producers on the scene with his amazing soundscapes. 

He delivers in full flare, taking us on majestic journeys with his double original release. First out is “Morning Glory”, a wonderful ride about melodic arrangements and full on progressive grooves and harmonies. 

To spice things up, we see two of our buddies from Norway taking charge as Ethillas & Nistad took on the challenge to put more drive into the original ideas from Yasuha. We can’t say less than that they have succeeded. With an energy filled little gem from these two truly talented artists, we see a new outcome of the original, including warm harmonies through vocal samples added on and then some really uplifting melodic sounds. We are truly happy to see the guys back that quick with this beauty. 

Next up is the second original from Yasuha., this one named as “Morning Glory”. Here he delivers in full flare once more, as we are delighted to see him bring on the full artillery of melodic vibes and “sunny beaches feel”. We were absolutely blown away when we first heard it and never looked back really, this is tremendous. 

Here we also see another interpretation, as the Brazilian “man of melodies” takes charge, yes we are of course talking about Rod Veldt. As always he shines with his superb melodic style, where he blends warm harmonies with driving grooves to build his trademark sound. There isn’t much more to say, than that we let the music talk for itself, sometimes that’s the only way to go, and we do feel this is one release that is like that.

German mastermind Jan Martin has mentored a whole generation of melodic progressive style and he makes a classy return with his latest offering, 'Hold me down'.
From the slowly building atmosphere of the original with its intricate progressions, exquisite chords work and Jan's own vocals, this is another one for the books in its apparent simplistic beauty, exuding both warmth and melancholic power.
Completing the package are two different remixes from Japan's own Yusuke Teranishi, the first a vocal take on the original and the second his soon-to-be trademark 'Dawning' remix, excellent examples of melodic complexity and sun-drenched vibes, respectively.
