Dance Of Chloris (Instrumental)

This song started out by listening to some of the surf music by my friend Dirk Radloff.  I remembered playing Telstar and other Surf rock songs when I was younger.  These are special songs for a young electric guitarist.

Then Dirk talked about his Epiphone Casino with Bigsby, which he sold.  It's the only guitar, which he has missed so far and he has sold a lot over the years.  I happen to have a Casino I bought from another guitarist (not Dirk).

I decided I wanted to bring these two elements together.  Surf rock guitar and my Epiphone Casino.  I added in a Stratocaster for the lead guitar component.  I considered naming this song "Dirk made me do it".  But, in the end, I named it after Dirk's Surf Rock music:  The Golden Tornadoes (Spelled with an e).

The Tornadoe Effect

My friend Dirk Radloff (Heartscore) has influenced me to write some surf rock songs.  I now have 3.  I have put them into a playlist of my Surf rock songs.  I play my Squier Stratocaster (with Lindy Fralin split blads pickups) for both rhythm and lead guitar on this one,  I also use my old fender Precision Bass.  The other instruments are midis.

Spirit of the Wave

I had the itch to make another surf guitar song.  Just watching TV with my guitar in my hand and it all came to me.  So here it is.

Ready Set Surf Guitar

The name for this piece is a quadruple entendre.  It can stand for Randy California the fine guitarist of the band Spirit.  It can stand for a person named Randy in California.  It can stand for the famous donut shop in California.  Finally, it can stand for a person who is horny in California.

I wrote this on bass guitar.  That is, the bass line came to me in the morning when I was waking up.  I started recording it using my precision bass.  I play my Squire strat with the Lindly Fralin split blade pickups on rhythm and lead guitar. This  is one of my Surf Rock songs.  You can find others on trhis playlist.
