Use headphones for this run. These are fields recordings heard in the Riifles & Garbage Podcast Second Edition. There is a stream called Bogdanka, a VLF radio grab, the water under a beaver's dam recorded with hydrophones and from above, the Warta river, a hydrophone recording of a pond in Solacz in summer, a pond in Wilson's Park in the winter (mostly carp rustling against the miccrophone cables I think, various birds in Poland and a cage full of baby chickens at a market in Tasnad, Romania. There may be other things in there too but I have to listen again to be more precise. Feel free to ask in comments.

Walking in a Vacuum

Written in Spring 2023, Sold on a Rhyme is a song about the idea that we grow up force-fed a dream (successful career, big house, family) that has become increasingly harder to achieve. 

Musically it's inspired by Stevie Wonder's Master Blaster, Walking on the Moon and London Calling, with Cable Street Collective's trademark African guitars and big bass lines.

Shake These Trees

Project Blackbird consists of five UK-based musicians: vocalist Ming Nagel (originally from the USA), guitarist Alan Roberts, multi-instrumentalist Jamie Varley, drummer Eddie Dublin, and multi-instrumentalist Jon Read, former trumpet player for The Specials. This "extraordinary" band, as BBC's Tom Robinson has described them, offers atmospheric groove stories that draw equally upon intellect and emotion. "Imagine a party at Ronnie Scott’s," one fan suggests, "where Sade, Björk, Jeff Beck, and David Byrne meet Portishead and then go for a late night curry to exchange ideas…sublime”. The band's third full-length album, True Names, is due out later in 2024.
