Welcome back again,

I am slowly running out of unique ways to greet you all, so I'm open for suggestions for that. Anyway, as promised, here is a new SCP theme. Though I guess it is more of a GOC theme, but that's arguing semantics, I guess. 



WARNING: Spoilers for SCP-5000 ahead

This time inspired by -- SCP-5000: why? -- , where the foundation discovers something in the collective human unconscious, the psychospace, whatever you want to call it. In turn the foundation decides to kill humanity. 

This is where Ganzir comes into play. It is a secure GOC installation which isn't really mentioned in any other files, but it is quite clear that the battle for would've been one of epic proportions, considering it withstood quite well against the full force of the foundation "turned evil". 

I put the "turned evil" in quotes because the motivation for the foundation's actions aren't clear. It could have been a cognitohazard that turned them evil, or the foundation truly discovered a terrible fate for humanity. My personal theory/headcannon is they discovered the SCP-001 past and future, but alas, we may never know.

Welcome back everyone,

They say, "you either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain". The chaos Insurgency is considered to be one of the  main antagonists of the SCP foundation, though that was not always the case. 

"To the majority of the Foundation and the anomalous world, the Insurgency was a splinter group that went A.W.O.L. with several researchers and anomalous objects. In reality, the O5 Council had created the Insurgency to complete missions with ethically questionable methods and politically unsavoury results" 

And this did work, for a while at least; The Foundation's biggest lie had become a reality, and the Insurgency actually went rogue. The Foundation covered it up with the pretence that they were always a splinter group not sanctioned by the Foundation, though the reasons for this defiance were never resolved.

The Insurgency tells us that they will use the anomalous to build a utopian future, where humanity is master of everything; not just a mirage where "consensus reality" itself is an illusion perpetrated by the Foundation.

And perhaps what they say is true;

Maybe they were disillusioned with the actions of the Foundation.
Maybe they were sick of the Foundation's duplicity.
Maybe they wanted to create a utopian world by becoming the villains.
Maybe they always had these aspirations of destroying the status quo.

This is what we are left with; a lot of Questions and none of the Answers.

Though, the alternative is a lot more terrifying; what if these Idealistic aspirations are but a cover for the true intentions of the Chaos Insurgency, and what are the true goals of the Chaos Insurgency?

Who knows what the Chaos Insurgency actually wants?
