Project Monster - The Monster Inside - 06 - Bring it to Life

This track took shape around the Chorus. not the most uplifting number but I think it gets the point across. The solo section is a simple tapping that leads into the breakdown, a lot of room in this song to get heavy.

I've always liked instrumentals, especially guitar. A few dark heavy riffs with some leads and keys thrown in.

The main riff drives the track, had a lot of fun putting this one together. The back ground vocals give it a darker edge. there is a section before the main solo where you can here the strings bending, raw power! Enjoy

Project Monster - The Monster Inside - 02 - All Or Nothing

this was truly a fun song to put together, Starts off with the vocals in the background gives it kind of a spacey feel. Left a lot of room in the verse's which builds up into the heavier chorus. There is no guitar solo in this song, at the time i didn't think it needed it and focused more on the vocals. However there is a melody part at the end of the song. Enjoy!!

This one was written awhile back. Slower tempo tried to create the imagery of burning in the flames. Really loved putting together the large heavy chorus, nice dark keys come into play to back it up. trying to convey the feeling we all have at times that we would like to set the world on fire and watch it burn. Stay Warm!

The Monster inside was created around the lyrics. Maybe we all have a monster that lurks deep inside. My favourite part as you may have guessed is the back end of the solo section where it climbs into the final chorus, a lot of energy that drives the song to the finale. Feed the Beast!

This One has been along time coming. I wanted it to be high-energy, fast - tempo that captured the urgency, and emotion of life during the pandemic and lockdowns. Frantic, claustrophobic, and rebellious. Who knows where we will end up but it's a hell of a ride!!

Another tight 3 minute rocker. The Sonic countdown. My vision was to have the main riff drive the track forward with the weight of a ticking clock ready to detonate. Enjoy

Timebomb

it turned out to be kind of gritty, raw and distorted. I like the way the riff sets the tone for the journey. In a world full of noise we all need some clarity. not a lot of lyrical content but with the Robot lords locked in the trunk trying to get out it's a mad dash to break free from the future, I see coming way to fast. There could be a reckoning.

Show Me The Way

Loosely based on the story of Robert Johnson going down to the crossroads to make his deal with the devil. i've always been fascinated with the mythic crossroads legend. Where desperate souls gamble with forces that are darker then they understand. I picture the devil as a shadowy figure - a slick silver - tongued stranger who offers you everything you have ever wanted, but with every deal there is a price to pay. By the end of the song we are left with another soul of fire, and another deal gone down. I left it open for a Part 2 which will be called Souls On Fire and that will be followed up by the third track to complete the trilogy. Keep listening to see how the story ends!!
