This is one of the longest & most difficult projects so far, but I’m glad to be just about done with this arrangement. It features lots of deep space inspired transitions & synths!

Cosmic Oasis

The year is 3030.

In a desperate attempt to escape the increasingly uninhabitable Earth, Pixel travels by spaceship through a wormhole & arrives upon the Purple Planet.

Throughout her journey to this future utopia, she battles off mechanized Guards, adjusts to the planet’s low gravity, dense clouds & intoxicating fumes, & explores the planet’s mind-bending, physics-defying properties.

Will she survive the journey? Each track is one chapter of this story.


- Stratosphere -

Pixel’s spaceship bursts through a wormhole & enters the stratosphere layer of the Purple Planet.

On this planet, the clouds are so dense that they can easily hold the weight of her spaceship.

She lands the spaceship on a cloud and steps out, noticing a “moonwalk” effect from the low gravitational pull of the planet.

Each step was like a leap, leaving her floating in midair briefly until she landed gently back down to the cloud’s surface.

Adjusting to the planet’s low gravity, Pixel admires the stunning view tens of thousands of feet from the planet’s surface.

But just as soon as she becomes accustomed to walking, her Omni-watch, which tracks heat, satellite signals, & movement from a 50,000 mile radius, turns red and beeps a warning - she’s no longer alone on the planet.

As she looks up, she sees that mechanized Guards from Earth have followed her through the wormhole onto the planet, with their weapons pointed toward her.

Too far from the ship at this point, she must battle them herself with the help of her high-tech space suit & weaponry.

Will she be able to defeat them?


- Purple Planet -

Once she defeats the Guards, she realizes her spaceship has been damaged, so she makes her way down to the surface of the planet by leaping down on the clouds. 

Purple Planet has a tropical climate, & the bright sky she saw during the battle is no longer visible - the dense clouds above her create a purple haze covering the entire sky, acting as a giant filter that purifies the air.

She notices plants nearby that appear to be releasing a sparkling dust - similar to photosynthesis on Earth, the plants closest to her are using her carbon dioxide to produce a hallucinogenic substance called PO6.

She measures the dwarf planet to be fewer than 100 miles around, small enough for her to walk all the way around in a single day, so she starts making the trip.

What she doesn’t realize is that a day on Purple Planet is not the same length as a day on Earth. What will happen when the sun sets?


- Lost -

The sun begins to set on Purple Planet when Pixel least expects it.

The planet rapidly grows darker & more dense with clouds as they lower toward the surface.

At the same time, plants begin releasing copious amounts of PO6, & she begins to experience intense audio & visual hallucinations.

With her mind going insane & her visibility reduced, how will she find her way back to the spaceship?
