Perspective #1 - Riyoon & Pshiuu

With the exception of Soundcloud, the German Stefan Fritz keep himself a low-profile and left social media completely a year ago, we don't even know if it's his real name for sure (joke ends). Despite that, the declarated mountain-lover Stefan lives in the Bavarian elevations near the Austrian border  and shares music as other passion.

Physically, this 225th edition was recorded in his basement studio affectionately called BoilerRomm as it is located behind the boiler room where no one can be disturbed by the music. And for over 100 minutes the German DJ somehow is telling you that slow music can also be danced to.

Genres are tricky. However, for the Brazilian DJ duo 'mia&moa' they seem to twist through time and space, not being any stumbling block. As much as their musical selections walk purposefully into electronic music’s boardwalk, chasing unlabelable music into a simple and approachable style is always the goal. Over a non-linear narrative strategy, as the selections unfold at a specific speed the mood shifts but maintains its cohesion. By playing with build-up and release, twisting the cult sounds of 90-00's within present-day electronic grooves, they're simply storytelling what their minds tend to at some specific point or vibe.

Ist links noch rechts - oder oben schon unten? Zucken die Wände hinter mir und ist der Raum dort vorne frei beweglich?  
Wenn es wieder aus allen Richtungen langsam und doll hereinbricht dann hat der Löffelstiel sein Holz im Spiel.
 Schwingt mit seinen Drehung eure Beine bodentief, lässt sie knicken und euch knien und die Sohlen auf den Boden stampfen - lässt mit jedem Klingeln und Zirpen, mit Geplätscher und Pfeifen eure Finger ein und ausrollen - lässt eure Glieder krampfen und sich lösend strecken und abwechselnd in den verrauchten Lüften spielen. 
Wie ich mich bewegen kann weiß ich wirklich nicht genau, doch glücklich spielt der Löffelstiel mit meinem Körperbau.

Soundcloud connections are the best! Even though we never met https://soundcloud.com/jennyloco in real life, we feel we know her through her involvement in the digital scene and her carefully crafted and highly eclectic Dj sets. The Colombia-born, California-raised and San Francisco-based DJ has been digging music since the late 90s and recently decided to bring her extended sound knowledge to the light and record mixtapes ranging from lounge and chill atmospheres to sweaty club vibes. From electronic to more organic oriented music, she has a strong appetite for slow and dark beats with psychedelic twists, with her own vision of mixing and transiting from energy A to energy B. We now just hope she will keep on surprising more ears and brains like she did with us. Enjoy the ride!

Dark bass lines meet melancholic harmonies inspired by the calm of foggy walks by the ocean in the violet twilight, the presence of birds chirping, and wild but cathartic dreams. There is a playful softness and acknowledgement for the moment going on in this slow, slow set filled with beautiful emotions. No need to hurry, it’s all there already.

mia&moa is a Brazilian DJ-duo electronic music project taken as the epitome of a resourceful fringed work without adequate apparatus. Two minds: a fearless mixer with a crumbling computer and a visionary YouTube sonic-collector. By always chasing unlabelable music in a simple and approachable style, over a non-linear narrative strategy, mia&moa' selections are twisting the cult sounds of 90-00's era through time and space and telling in your face that genres aren't that trick if you focus in a cohesive vibe.

This mixtape is a creative and humorous manner that we've found to reconstruct e reconnect to a certain period of our childhood, the carnival revelry - one of the liveliest popular festivals and representative of Brazilian culture. In our hometown, there was a street block called 'Maria Giriza', in which men dressed in feminine adornments and also used animalistic references, scaring children and gathering members and supporters along the way. The event caused some shivers due to the intense characterization and the fervent beats, this is the context of the 130min selection for 'https://soundcloud.com/slowpunch', we hope you can feel a little of that time through this storytelling.

@david-pontbriand "This set was recorded live on the small island of Cát Bà (Vietnam), last September after Burning Man. As such, it’s a blend of my favourite desert-inspired sounds, both old and new. It’s far from perfect, being my second time playing in front of a crowd – but it comes from the heart!

Special thanks to David (Noema) and Elif for their useful advice. Music is a true passion for me and this is something I’ve always wanted to do, but never actually took the time to learn. Project Heart has been the catalyst.
