Already with the first LUX remix package (SK272, released Feb, 5th) Paskal & Urban Absolutes together with Sonar Kollektiv assembled the cutting edge of the current German club culture:
From Manuel Tur, Trickski over Sevensoul & Bender and Henry L & Ingo Sänger to Sello and Oliver Marquardt some of the hottest players in the game between Munich and Berlin handed in works which are by now default luggage of any upright DJ.

But also the second LUX remix suitcase packs a punch and is – be assured – jam-packed with potential club monsters of all the nights to come. Starting off things is this time not a German but the English man Jimpster. Having founded the deephouse empire Freerange Records this DJ and producer of outstanding merit knows exactly how to trim club music in order to cause frenzy on almost every dancefloor on this planet. His remix of “Bits Of Me” is taking the route towards Berlin School techno sure enough and gains pace, especially on the dub version.

The second track, “Hold Your Head Up”, remixed no more than four times (on the digital release), features the soul-soothing voice of Sonar Kollektiv act Arnold Kasar, who is working on his new solo album(!). Taking these vocal parts to account in particular, the remix by Dortmund based Larse embeds them into a sophisticated arrangement. Which could be shelved somewhere between smooth deep house and the contemporary interpretation of Boogie, which Larse is firmly campaigning for for a while now.
Berlin based Max Heese aka Langeberg (Drumpoet Community, Dessous Recordings etc.) attends to the matter in a total different way by pumping up the song with adrenaline and a hearty dash of testosterone. In over eight minutes you can witness the genesis of a danceable power bar. The 23-years old Kai von Glasow from Berlin is responsible for the probably most neoteristic remix in this series. His interpretation sees the encounter of hypermodern dub aesthetics and bass music how it should sound in 2014.

Last but not least and – as well as the remix by Kai von Glasow – only available on the digital release you get the version by Nils Penner. Having released already on Freerange Records and Wazi Wazi Music, the DJ and producer living in Munich impresses with a ludicrous drum and percussion programming while getting almost cosmic with the interweaving synth pads.

Five, or six remixes (if you count the dub version by Jimpster), which show again strikingly what is and will be the score in the best clubs worldwide in the next few months.

"Citizens of Vice welcome We Play Alone for a trio of superb originals that come with a standout remix from Brooks. We Play Alone is YoungTee (of Joy Boys, Southern Fried and In Plain Sight), Lovebreak (from Paper Recordings & Sprechen Music) and Don Zazou. All three are seasoned explorers of house music in the studio, on the dancefloor and in the forest. 

Not much else is known about this artist collective, but the Love Breaks Down EP features three tracks that are as deep as they are edgy. Opener 'Love Breaks Down' is a superbly deep house tune with a slippery and icy line of hi-hats weaving in and out of warm dub chords as a minimal drum groove powers it along. It's classy and atmospheric stuff. 'Into You' then ups the ante with more raw, wooden and classic drums featuring a gorgeous lead and plenty of diffuse pads that bring the late-night soul and romance. Final of the three originals, '3-29am' is a sweet afterparty roller, with more woozy pads and trippy effects colouring in the hypnotic, rolling drums and bass. 

To complete this superb package, the Citizens Of Vice collective bring in elusive visionary Brooks (Matthew Herbert’s Soundslike and Mantis Recordings) to remix 'Into You’. The result is an outstanding reworking that is certain to set clubs alight in the months to come. Lush keys and filtered vocal sounds join a mesmerising lead synth line, delivering a track that is a genuine anthem in the making. This is fresh, high-class house music "

PREMIERE: We Play Alone - 3 - 29am (Original Mix) [Citizens Of Vice]

Dinky makes her evolution from inaugural DJ to singer songwriter and front stage performer with new album ‘Dimension D’ out in June on Visionquest. Single ‘Falling Angel’ is first to drop with remixes from two elite producers, Matthew Styles, who coproduced the album, and Pépé Bradock. Both heighten Dinky’s layered ethereal vocals and mesmerising melodies with their own movement and elements of dark and light.

Her sister named Alejandra Del Pilar Iglesias Rivera Dinky at birth. Born and raised in Santiago, Chile, as a child she studied Ballet and the Suzuki method of piano before relocating to New York to become a contemporary dancer. Her drive to make music brought her to Berlin a decade ago where she quickly became a dominant force in dance music, making her mark through releases on Carpark, Cocoon, Ostgut, and the critically acclaimed ‘Anemik’ album in 2009 on Mathew Jonson´s Wagon Repair. Her fifth studio album, ‘Dimension D’ sees her evolve into singer-songwriter and performer and take on a new musical direction. Long term friends with the Visionquest collective from their hedonistic days residing in Berlin, Dinky’s fresh approach fits within their ethereal and otherworldly style and follows the Footprintz album earlier this year.

Consistently on point DJ and musician Matthew Styles coproduced and mixed ‘Dimension D’ and will perform the album live in a series of dates this summer.

French DJ/Producer and prolific remixer Pépé Bradock has been an enigmatic figure on the scene since the early 90s always essential listening for anyone into deep house with a magic off kilter touch.

i use to Dj still filter music the play lists are not sow organised sorry=P  there are a bunch of Genres trip hop brake beat hip hop trap dub prog tropical electronic soul funk pop i am sure there is more a hall musical salad ;) with the years passing by the flavor got softer and the genres evolved still melodic based =) music should be shared and this is my way enjoy ^_^
