boaksi - how many times?

To the lands of Switzerland, does our gaze turn today. Zurich based Project Indigo is looking to one of its founders for the latest release. ‘i thought it was yesterday’, by boaksi is an emotive album full of twists and turns from ambient to breakbeat, showing off the skill of the swiss producer’s grasp on creating moments that will hang in the air even after the final note is played.

Fermi’s Paradox comes in as the B3 side of the double vinyl release, with the dulcet tones of boaski starting almost immediately and enveloping the listener in their warmth. Mix them together with a tastefully done guitar riff, breakbeat percussion, and a hint of melancholy, and you’ve got a winner on your hands. 

‘i thought it was yesterday’ will be released in digital on April 9, 2022 and vinyl in late summer.

Zurich-based producer Karl Primo aka @lbhonne steps up to deliver his debut long player on @projindigo. The dog days of summer are upon us here in Brooklyn, as the heat is making itself known. To match these sultry afternoons and nights, we look to Pango aka Pascal Bauer and the Zurich based collective, Project Indigo for the perfect musical companion. The four track EP titled, ‘Ahlea’ includes a nice variation of tracks that shows off Pango’s adeptness at creating emotive moments through a few different means. From the breakish ‘if you were’, fast-paced ‘foppettas’ through to the deep grooves of the title track ahlea, and in turn our premiere for today, namesake.

From the get go, Pango establishes a melodic introduction that sets the mood for what's to come — a journey into deep, soulful vibes. The swirling pads tugging at the heartstrings, bringing all the warmth and good feelings. Throughout the track these elements weave in and out, accompanied by a swinging percussion line, and a steady 4/4 kick that innately will keep your head nodding along. 

Namesake and the rest of the ‘ahlea’ release will be out on Project Indigo the 12th of July.

Deeply emotive and engaging, the collaboration between Swiss collective Project Indigo and Hame feels destined. It wasn’t a matter of "if," but "when." The EP Self Expression will be released on December 27th, available in both digital and vinyl formats.

The final track, Stick Together, showcases Hame’s natural ability to pull on the heartstrings. With warm pads and recurring hooks, each layered with rich bass and presence, the track takes us from deep contemplation to an irresistible urge to dance—swaying side to side for one last dance as the EP comes to a close. Elegant, deep, minimal house music.

Hame and Project Indigo are meant to be. Their partnership reflects a shared vision, and we believe there is more to come from them together.
