He was born from an Iranian Father and a French mother in 1966 in the city of Toulouse in France.[3] He has studied music (piano, vocal and theory) along with engineering and marketing. Since 1987 he has recorded around 300 tracks for Iranian television advertisement. He has composed soundtracks for long film, short films as well as documentaries and has worked with director like Dariush Mehrjui, Mani Haghighi, Shahram Mokri, Safi Yazdanian, Rassoul Sadr Ameli and many others. He initiated a baroque music ensemble (Aria Music) in 1996, giving concerts in Iran & India.[1] He further established the Nour ensemble. In the summer of 2004, Nour appeared in a musical documentary, this time filmed at the Palace of Ardashir in Firouzabad. The arrangements of Journey (2001, Hermes Records) is also among his musical activities. In 2003, Rezai won the first prize of the Avignon Film Festival for the best Film Music and in 2017 he won the Crystal Symorgh from the 35th Fajr Film Festival for the movie "Negar" directed by Rambod Javan.[1] Since then, he has concentrated on writing music for films and on developing the Nour ensemble.

The vibe of this album is peaceful and tranquil and it is best listened to in quiet contemplation and in full awareness of the breath.

Blaise Pascal once said, “All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone.”

As we reach the midpoint of 2020 and see the world around us seemingly in such turmoil, one of the goals of this album is to assist the listener in being present with themselves - to help YOU sit quietly in a room alone. Hopefully this sitting will allow the listener to realize and relax into the idea that they are the eye of the storm - one can remain calm and centered in the turmoil and thus create action from a position of clarity, centeredness, and balance.

Lucid Breathing came about during the first month of quarantine almost by accident. One evening I was sitting at home a bit bored - I’d played through enough video games and watched enough movies for the week - so I decided to look back through old audio recordings. 

I soon discovered a folder of solo piano recordings going back over three years and I started to listen. Mixed in a number of different Logic sessions I found enough tracks to make up an album, and thus the idea for Lucid Breathing was formed.

Some of the songs had come about very quickly - some songs took over 3 years to really blossom. Specifically, I had recorded between 30 and 40 different versions of Etude in Em and Yes But This Yes But That, feeling satisfied only with the exact versions that ended up on the album. Additionally, each of these 30 to 40 versions were slightly different - I never played those songs the same way twice. This made it very interesting to go back and listen and find versions that really worked.

I hope you enjoy the album and are able to find some time to to sit quietly in a room by yourself and feel satisfied. I wish you balance and clarity moving forward and I hope that this album can provide some assistance in your journey through this life.

از وقتی از ایران رفتم، صبح‌ها كه از خواب پاميشم، اولين كاری كه می‌كنم اينه كه ببينم از ايران چی به دستم رسيده. اخبار روز، پيغام‌های خونواده و دوستان.
امروز صبح وقتي پاشدم، ديدم "ماكسيم" برام اینو فرستاده.
....
ماکسیم مانجو فيلمساز  و موزيسين فرانسویه كه دو سال پيش واسه‌ی پروژه‌اش ازم خواست كه يه روز رو با هم بگذرونيم، واسش موزيك بزنم، از موسيقی بگم و ويديويی ازم درست كنه. 
ماكسيم تو اين مدت فرصت نكرده بوده روی ویدیو كار كنه، منم از خاطرم رفته بود و الان بعد از حدود سه سال اين فيلم رو برام فرستاد.
تنهايی و غم اون روزا، خونمون كه الان ديگه كس ديگه‌ای توش زندگی ميكنه،
ساعت ديواری كه تو هر خونه‌ای كه رفتيم با خودمون برديمش. پيانوم، سازی كه ده سال دوستم بود..ولی اين روزا روزای آخرش بود.
يه كم بعدتر پدالش خراب شد، بعد كليداش نميزد، و هرروز با هزار نشونه بهم ميگفت كه برو. تموم شد این دوره.
توی جعبه‌ی پایین پیانوم خيلي چيزا قايم ميكردم، دفتر خاطراتم و هزار تا تیکه‌ی کاغذ پرنوشته و شعر.
شب آخر كه داشتم ميرفتم فرودگاه، برای اينكه چک كنم چيزی جا نمونه توش، درش رو باز كردم. هيچی ديگه توش نبود. نه سيمی، نه كليدی، نه پدالی، نه صدايی، فقط يه آدم توش بود با لب‌های خشک، چشمای تر و نگاه نگران، كه تا منو ديد لب‌های ترک خورده‌‌اش باز شد و چشماش پر اشک شد و يه كاغذ بهم داد، و جعبه رو بست.

خنک آن قماربازی که بباخت آن چه بودش، بنماند هیچش اما هوس قمار دیگر
