We’ve been absolutely chomping at the bit to share our Fusion Festival set recording. This night was pure magic, the craziest experience of our lives. We fed off the energy of the crowd and they weren’t short on giving it to us.

This year I decided to provide my fellow Burning Man family with a gift that’s intentional and that comes from the heart.  Something that could potentially enhance their experience and guide them through the dust.

And that gif my friends, is the gift of music. 

As we approach the Man Burn and our hearts fill up with excitement. That nervous anticipation that something greater than all of us is about to happen, I want to take a moment to wish you all a happy, healthy and stupid fun burn.

Feel free to download this gift to your device and use it as you please.  It might become useful to you on your way to the playa. When you are still hours away and your streaming services stop.  When you reach that exciting check point where all reception is lost and you have finally unplugged.  You may find use for it at camp while you rest with your friends. microCastle begins the summer season by welcoming Ivory to the label for his debut EP. Based in Milan, Daniel Tagliaferri aka Ivory is an Italian producer, DJ and guitarist who has enjoyed a rapid ascent through the electronic underground. Long a favourite of Dixon, John Digweed, Lehar, Nick Warren, Tale Of Us and Trikk, Daniel's music has found a home on some of the world's trendiest record labels, most notably Atlant Recordings, Azzur, Bedrock, Chapter 24, Isolate, MoBlack and Kompakt. Now following his critically acclaimed 'Hyper' EP, Ivory presents his microCastle debut 'No Scale Can Resize You'. 

Spread across five tracks, the 'No Scale Can Resize You' collection is a blend of dance floor inspired storyboards and contemporary electronica. Beginning with the pulsating energy and buzzing design of the Tale Of Us championed title selection, to the quirky musicality and cosmic funk of 'Biscuit', it's Daniel's' borderless scope and creative vision which resonates on a high frequency here.

Anchoring the EP's midway point is the much anticipated 'Pfauneinsel'. Already a favourite of Lehar, it's a tough yet hypnotic piece driven by unique rhythmic concepts and a flair for the dramatic. Most solemn perhaps is 'Romantic Circuits', whose astral arps and robotic vocals fuel this indie-tech gem, before perfectly segueing into the journey's closer 'Biggest Eyes On Earth'. Once again played by Tale Of Us and surrounded by much hype, it's reflective qualities are both emotive and timeless, rounding out a collection of music which has already made its mark on the world's most rebellious dance floors. For Daniel it's a unique anthology, one of boundless inspiration and endless possibilities, as he describes.

"Music is always about storytelling, 'No Scale Resize You' is a collection of short stories where there's not words, they give way to melodies, sounds and percussive elements to sing a song full of grace, delicate groove hypnosis and evocative soundscapes. Every sound has been modeled to create a parallel universe, with magical creatures that speak to us through synths and sound design. Drawing this EP was like a flow of consciousness, many different musical influences converged like rivers to create a unique body of water, one that reflects the soul of these musical tales, dark atmospheres, middle-eastern melodies, robotic beats, dreamy pads, wistful strings and analogic arps; where every part is an element of the same wild land discovered during the listening. An epical journey about strength, bravery, magic, mysticism and love. An island made by incantations and charming, fantastic animals, where you can be a dwarf or a titan, it doesn't matter, every hero has his greatness in the constant search to reach his dreams."

Californian born but now firmly ensconced in his adopted Salt Lake City home, Donny Carr is a leading protagonist in the area's dance music scene. An accomplished DJ and saxophonist, Carr's legendary performances behind the decks has left enraptured audiences across Utah and beyond. A fledgling production career that began in early 2018 blossomed throughout the year with his immaculate blend of deep, tech and progressive house. A debut remixing Jerome Isma-Ae & Alastor for Jee Productions kickstarted a notable career, while further remixes of Stan Kolev for Freegrant and victory in Quivver's "8 Bit Eclipse" remix competition for Controlled Substance has found Carr seated at underground dance's top table.

Now debuting on Yang, the Donny Carr remix of "Final Round" takes the familiar cadenced foundation of T Raum & The Wash's original and treats it to a shaker-fueled percussive groove. Evolving elegantly, a swathe of emotive chord progressions and textured pads create atmosphere before a new arpeggiated motif produces a fresh hypnotic pattern. Waxing and waning with ease, Carr's skill is to take "Final Round" in a stunning new direction while retaining the original track's essence.

"I made 'Freedom' after being stuck in the studio for over a year. Which is quite long since I'm working full time in the studio. That's why I just didn't like it anymore .... The labels where I had my releases went harder and harder then, at a certain moment, the light came to me. And I decided to go in a different direction and since then it has been super nice to be in the studio again."

Shout out to the writer's block crew. It happens to the best of us, and 'Freedom' captures that incredible moment when clarity and inspiration return. A rising sense of triumph coded deep into those strident chords, its nothing short of an elevation celebration. 

Meanwhile 'The Problem' takes Rob's new sense of vibrancy and focus to entirely new astral planes. A serious escapade for the mind, body and soul, Rob's year of studio frustration has paid off in an incredible way. Inspiring both in sentiment and sound; these are perfect summer anthems with real meaning behind them. We're looking forward to hearing more.
