Gabriel Slick - Whispers In The Night (Extended Mix)

Although Gabriel Berlanga has done the rounds, with records & mixes out on labels such as Correspondant, Nein and Melomana, undoubtedly here his Aeromuerto EP on Beachcoma brought this to us. A wonderful homage to analogue synths and the 16 step sequenced journeys they created brought aching joy to this R$N fella. Familiar at Razzmatazz, The Loft and Moog, Barcelona loves Undo.

With his own Factor City Records label (which has featured Club Bizarre, Offset and Morgan Hammer) to look after too, we asked the salt & pepper haired Catalonian to do a mix for us. And give us a little about his favourite food and stuff.

Undo: The 'Shine A Light On' Mix

Letztes Jahr trafen wir auf einen ziemlich guten Fotografen, der unter anderem via Instagram tausende Menschen begeistert. Als wir so über den Job, die Kunst, die Liebe und das Leben im Allgemeinen plauderten, kamen wir auf unseren Blog zu sprechen und Alexis White erzählte uns, dass er DJ sei. Zum damaligen Zeitpunkt hatte er sich gerade mit Silvio Zschach zusammengetan und das Duo MIOMIO gegründet. In der Leipziger Clubszene sind die beiden längst etabliert und erobern gerade überall anders die Herzen mit ihrer Musik und den Veröffentlichungen unter anderem bei Who Else Music, Eisenwaren und AHOI Audio. Wir wollten von den beiden wissen, wo denn ihre eigentliche Leidenschaft liegt: Beim Produzieren oder Auflegen? Alexis: "Während Silvio meistens damit beschäftigt ist, neue Sounds und Grooves im Studio zu entwickeln, finde ich meine Inspiration oft im Club, auf Reisen oder bei befreundeten Musikern. Coming from Beirut, the city that parties no matter what, Klo relied on music as a vector of expression when words failed , and as a means of emotional support when no one could console her. Chloe’s journey started when she was introduced to violin. From a very young age, she has been inspired by icons, whether they produced soul music like ‘Sade’ or acid bangers like ‘Ron Hardy’ did in the 90s.
