Fellow Frenchmen The Hacker and Commuter take their inspiration from the TV series, Chernobyl to create an imaginary soundtrack for their collaborative EP on Cultivated Electronics, which has already been on full throttle in 2021 with releases by DMX Krew, London Modular Alliance, Morphology and Maelstrom across both CE and sister label, CE Ltd.

Here they deliver three new punchy electro tracks that convey their love of vintage electronics and machine funk, but with a modern touch that will hit all the right notes for electro fans, with names like ‘Roentgen’ (a unit of measurement for the exposure of X-rays and gamma rays) and ‘RBMK’ (Chernobyl’s nuclear power reactor).

The EP includes the added treat of a remix by MMT-8, otherwise known as Ed Upton (DMX Krew) and label head Phil Bolland (Sync 24) who deliver an escalated reworking of ‘RBMK’.

They fit perfectly as MRT010, transporting the label from the cold, grey, drowned in concrete atmospheres of Acid Ernst to the working class heat of the American south. There's a good bunch of intense, dark and extreme, grinding electro-techno gems on the "Raval Rave Breakers" first compilation. While Boris Divider's 'Collapsed Cluster' recalls of the more clinical approach of labels like Raster-Noton, Eel manages to deliver a fresh mix of styles on 'Sraight Edge', where Old Skool Breakbeat and EBM draw an unforgettable match made in heaven. Last track on the A side comes from Classicworks boss Neuhen, but is Patricia (Opal Tapes, Spectral Sound) who remixes it: in "Supress" we can find all the magic tricks of the NYC based producer: eery atmospheres, gently distorted drums and a warm feeling of cozyness. On the flip, RNXRX delivers "Aktion Intertia", one of the most psychedelic jams he's ever did: an industrial acid track as catchy as it can be. Oakland's "Heroine From The North" sounds a bit like when New Beat became faster and more agressive, being mixed with styles like EBM and trance.

A3 - Nehuen - Supress (Patricia's Sad Pop Mix)

Another premiere features viscous melodies and vocals of Trenton Chase in a track called Narked, that belongs to V.A. Archives Du Coeur Domain compilation.

The compilation is the latest in the synth-heavy sludge down from Public System Recordings brought directly by the label’s boss Myn. It’s said that he invites a new cast of characters into the dungeon dance, and it’s completely true. Packed with dynamic, chugging, and forward thinking jams, compilation includes Narked, which is yet again a strong piece from Trenton Chase. Metallic and industrial elements bend along with vocal echoes, that create constant reverberation and the positive sound of fear.

A new subdivision of Pinkman called Mindri, run by Afra and Marsman will be launched in January. The first release by Pluto Junkies, a collab project between Ernestas Sadau, Rapha & PRZ goes straight into the alley of mind bending and stomach swirling releases. Drenched in 90’s retro-futurist electro spirit, Flying Spaghetti Monstership is what you would call a secret weapon at a rave. Fuelled with ferocity and seasoned with nostalgia, it feels like hedonist nights and forgotten conversations in crammed basements.

Propaganda is local’s favorite place to eat, to have a drink or to dance till early morning. It’s friendly and inviting. Located in the heart of Moscow city centre, it first opened its doors in 1997. As a cafe, it has developed its unique reputation through a friendly service, delicious food, reasonable prices and a warm feel. As one of the longest-running clubs in Moscow, Propaganda has set a new level in the city nightlife. But mostly it’s a place where everyone feels welcome.
