@nasty-king-kurl - Drop it low // Danger! High energy! Definitely a track for midset if you are searching for a track to keep the tension through your set. The melody and bass in combination with the unique vocals create an unforgettable sound.

@yung-anz - Last Before Lights // The sheer variety of this track amazed us. For us it's especially easy to work in so many different moments and that's what makes it incredible. It's also absolutely impressive what @yung-anz puts together - check her out!

@uglyboyshawty - MoE // Released via @ovelhatrax // For us this label is very underrated and the Artist is an absolute Insider tip in the Electro scene. Especially for lovers of heavy basslines and rough Sounds the new va red alert is a Must to hear!

Yarn Init overtake you from the right on the Databahn with "Good Call". In 2020 we started their engine when we released their track "Blind Step" on CLEAR003. Int Main & Varum, as they are registered at the Verkehrsamt, have since released tracks on Mind Controlled Rectifier and Planetaria Soundsystem.
With their first expanded play, they offer an extensive view of their signature style: Speedy Beats, High Energy - Electro deeply saturated with rap samples and breaks. Starting with rolling drive-by-like tunes, this EP will also give you the opportunity to grasp Yarn Init's vision of Acid Dystopia as well as their take on Love Songs in Hyper Reality.

Ukrainian DJ, producer and cyberpunk RAAVEL debuts on DJ MELL G’s imprint, JUICY GANG RECORDS. Enter INSECT REPLICANT, a 4-track, broken-beat-meets-electro EP that conveys RAAVEL’s crunchy vibe to a tee. 

‘AYAYAY’ blends a distorted vocal with a nasty synthline and 2-step kickdrums, creating a futuristic sound that only RAAVEL knows how to pen. An EBM-flavoured snythline dominates on ‘BLATZER’ while zappy sound FX cut through the atmosphere—a dirty jam made for a basement rave situation. The title tune ‘INSECT REPLICANT’ is a proper banger. At 144 BPM, an acid bassline, snappy percussion, and staccato synth notes evoke tension, but it still maintains a club-driven feel. The closing tune ‘WAKALAKA’ merges electronica and electro, as a raw drum pattern punctuates each bar and provokes anarchistic energy. One for the die-hard punks of this world.  

Following releases on LAP and mystictrax, INSECT REPLICANT marks another upward step in RAAVEL’s trajectory, with his anomalous sound reflecting the always-evolving aesthetic of JUICY GANG RECORDS.

It shouldn't need saying but without Motown, Underground Resistance and so many more from the city of Detroit, music history would be immeasurably different, and so we can't think of a better way of paying back than by helping the next generation of Detroit's musicians. We can't wait to find out what comes out of the academy. 

Hopefully 2021 will see us all able to get together and enjoy music together but until then, take care, stay safe & happy holidays"
