@carl-gari & @abdullahmadm - Haj (live) | The ambient atmosphere with the gloomy vocals and the well-tuned rhythm makes this song my first choice. The first time I discovered this project was in their live performance at the iconic festival Berlin Atonal. The whole album is a masterpiece which is still one of my favourites in my vinyl collection. An English version of the vocals is available online.

@diasiva - Vapor Construct | With its relentless and deconstructed breaks and the noisy industrial texture, this track of the duo Swarm Intelligence and Monolog, Diasiva, is the way to bring the heat to the dance floor.

Species of Fishes - Crush Recovery | Although first released in 1996 by Exotica, this track still sounds very modernistic. The well-groomed ambient sound and the electro frequencies together with the stereo modulation make this track one of my favourite ambient collections ever which has been pushing me to produce more ambient music.

@caterinabarbieri - Fantas | This track is bliss in pure chaos. It’s a synergy between the power of modular synthesis and a very talented composer. It‘s one of my most played tracks ever.

Muslimgauze - Believers of the Blind Sheikh | Produced in 1996 and released by @staalplaat in 2020, this gem is part of the ever-complex Muslimgauze oeuvre. Bryn Jones was influenced by conflicts and history in the Muslim world with an emphasis on the Israeli-Palestine conflict. Full of resistance, melancholy and obsession, his impressive work has been an immense inspiration for me. Yet, The Muslimgauze project ended tragically in 1999, after some rumours saying that he died suddenly of a ‘rare’ blood disease, leaving it a mystery.

@sayang is a Malaysian British DJ and sound artist who uses sound and space to explore intersections of gender, race, queerness and access. They are particularly interested in reflecting on their experiences of disability and post-colonial Malaysian Trans identity.

In sound design, they often look to their roots from Penang Malaysia with field recordings, modular synthesis and electronic emulations of familiar noises, and connect it to their British childhood in electronic music, from film soundtracks to EBM, acid and new wave. Their sets traverse raw noise and high voltage beats through all-vinyl sets, while nods to a background in UK techno and dubstep add depth. 

SAYANG’s tongue-in-cheek approach questions their place in the music they play while taking the reins behind genres and tracks they weren’t always invited to.

In his sets he's also showing very diverse sounds reaching from Indiedance, Italo Disco or Dark Disco to classic Techno and Trance. @hardton - Flawless - Tobias Bernstrup Italo Remix | @tobias-bernstrup is one of my absolute favorite artists with his unmistakable Italo sound and funky 80s vibes. His mix of emotional vocals and synth melodies puts a smile on my face every time. The combination of Tobias Bernstrups musical influence and the disco vibes of Hard Ton it creates such a good vibe.  Great song - Great artist - Definitely worth a listen!

Fairlight Children - 808 Bit | Saving the best for last - I've fallen in love with 808 Bit more than with any other song. A track that I simply can't stop listening to. The combination of 8-bit sounds and the emotional melody gets stuck in your brain forever. After I discovered the song on vacation, I played it up and down and it is symbolic of my love for synth sounds and the musical 80s :)

Straws and What Cherubs are my favorites from their *1 album and it was a jewel discovery of mine a few months ago. Their sonic landscape feels like a cathartic blend of softness and chaos that I just want to drown myself in. It encapsulates everything I love about experimental music. 

@syntrovert & @hypna_52 - Fairy Tales + DRM/BLL: Am a sucker for cute melodies indefinitely…this fantasy reggaeton track from Chilean producer Syntrovert really got me :) - I could listen to this melody over and over. And yesss more drums blend with Hypna‘s DRM/BLL !

@b-e-b-e-t-u-n-e - SUKI GIRLZ 9: For months now, this song keeps popping up on my YouTube home page and in my recommended videos, especially during the evening hours. Almost every time I come across it, I feel compelled to play it. There's something about it that brings to mind the loading screens of video games. It's like a brief pause to rejuvenate and gear up for the next challenge. Listening to it relaxes me immensely; I adore its simplicity.

sofa - across the ocean: I consider @triplexlarge to be one of my most frequently visited SoundCloud accounts. “across the ocean” is the first song I discovered from this account. It captured my heart, and ever since, I've been enamored. Each new release from them brings me a profound sense of peace and a wave of nostalgia. Lately, I've found myself drawn to downtempo music; the slower pace provides a welcomed respite from the fast-paced dance tunes I often produce. It's a refreshing break from the daily chaos and the constant party scene.

Depeche Mode - Useless (@kruderdorfmeisterofficial Session): Several years back, a friend introduced me to this song one morning after a party. I found myself listening to it on repeat all the way home. Though I occasionally forget about it, it resurfaces in my mind every so often. Remarkably, the emotions it stirs within me remain as potent as when I first heard it. It's astonishing how the simple act of waves hitting my ear can evoke such profound emotions. I love music.

AIR - Modular Mix: Every city should install big speakers in their streets and play this song every morning. A must have for my morning routine. just pure vibes..

Grupo G - La Cumbia de los Monjes: My introduction to cumbia happened during my first trip to Colombia, even though this particular song is from a Mexican group. That journey introduced me to incredible people and sparked a deep love for the country. This song has become my ultimate favorite cumbia tune. Its rhythm is infectious, and I find it impossible to tire of it. To me, it embodies pure happiness. Que viva la cumbia por siempre por siempre!

@merca-bae - Morder: Ass-shake-alarm!! It’s too short and too good, so I always hear the track at least twice in a row. Shoutouts to Wilma, who showed me Merca bae. It's best to share my love for dembow, reggaeton and dancehall with her - I usually learn something interesting about the genres or we just dance together. Liebeee!

In this strange year's ending, and to ward off the curse, Serendip Lab offers you a nice end of year gift ! 

Unfortunately for his 10th birthday the festival did not happen this year. Nevermind, a compilation project with all invited artists since 2010 was born and what a good surprise people did answer the call : more than 90 tracks, reflecting the festival / label eclecticism and its evolution. 
From Pierre Bastien's mechanical music, present for the first year, to KK NULL's cyberpunk, whose cassette was our last release, very diverse scenes and styles are represented : psychedelic rock, post punk, improvised, concrete, industrial or rave music, synthwave, IDM, noise, rap, électro… Coming from all around France (Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Rennes, Lille...), Europe (Suede, Denmark, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Italy), or the world (USA, Australia, Indonesia, Japan), pioneers or new comers are mixed, as usual, in a huge and generous party, like a big dadaist mutant family.

So thanks a lot to the hundreds of artists who have participate to the adventure since all these amazing years, to the friends, volunteers, a lot of love to the artists in this compilation, and even more to Patrice Curtillat for the mastering, and Jean Turner for the artwork, and at last a stream of love to you all, hope to meet you soon, best wishes !
