@ullastraus - popping out: I am following Ulla as an artist since a couple of years, and sth that always sticks out to me with her work is how much a sense of room there is in her tracks. You can literally feel how each element is placed mindfully in a slowly unfolding scenery. On the other hand there is a slight sense of wonkiness and “giving away control” , which lets the whole thing come to life. Another thing are the masterful and sparsely seeded harmonics you find. An always intriguing bouquet of sounds. Also, this track literally sounds like what the beginning of spring feels like to me.

@phubu - Bird Again: Sticking to the topic of spring, here are some birds. Phoebé Guillemot aka RAMZi can not be confined to one style, and that’s what I love about her music. Every track is a surprise, but her handwriting shines through and through. The theme of this track is apparently maybe possibly birds? It sounds like birds, it feels like birds and it conveys an image of disappearing as an observer in the daily life of a pile of…birds.

@andreamusik - Sephr: I don’t really know what it is about this track, but I am addicted to it since the release of the album. My brain keeps thinking the vocal sample means “bin sauer”, but I know that’s bs and now you can also probably not unheard it. Sorry bout that.

@djbirdbath - Fall: I swear the secret theme for this Podcast is NOT birds. @indexrecords have a long standing and continuous high quality output and their stuff is always pretty cutting edge and spanning across many genres. Their @appendixfiles series takes it even one step further. Nuff said, absorb this one.

@mruffing - Hitherto: Mathis is a producer with an insane sense for arrangement and sound design. Also I think he just plays a lot of video games, and I feel this track is just as much a club track, as it is the soundtrack to an insane high speed futuristic racing game that still needs to be made. Also the Album is called Skybox which fits the blue sky that I can see in Berlin today and that is so rare, it almost seems artificial. Buckle up for this one.
