Yussed Kamaal - Lowrider | Yussef Kamaal are a London-based jazz-funk duo founded by @yussefdayes and @kamaalwilliams (aka Henry Wu). Their whole album ‘Black Focus’ is a work of art and is one of my favorite vinyls. ‘Lowrider’ really stuck with me, same as ‘Strings of Light’, the drum skills by Yussef Dayes are just insane.

@ttyfal & @chocolategrinder - Gangsta’s Paradise | When I first heard this track, I knew it was going to be one of my favorites for a while. I just love everything about it, no more words needed. (:

@sunnysibar - What now? | Sansibar’s music means a lot to me, he is one of my favorite producers. ‘What now?’ gives me chills. His whole ‘Paradise Industrial Complex EP’ is fire, but this track really got under my skin. I recommend listening to this whole EP in one go, somewhere you feel comfortable, with your eyes closed. It’s sooo good.

@varum - Rims and Cowbells | Whenever I listen to this track I get excited about life, I’ll have this weird happy feeling in my stomach. Sounds cheesy but it’s just one of those tracks for me…it’s so catchy and dreamy.

Bianco is an ‘almost’ Leipzig-based (coming soon ;)) DJ, who started out djing 2018 in Jena and now has come full circle by hosting her own FLINTA* DJ workshop. Bianco is also part of the Jena based collective @tkkg-jena and this year joined EXCT out of Erfurt. Though hip hop has been her big love since twelve years old, her current sound is a mixture between progressive house, breakbeat and electro, deeply influenced by labels such as @kalaharioystercult, @craigie-knowes or @x-kalay.

Proper Charts is a weekly format bringing you a diverse line up of artists and DJs showcasing their personal current top 5 tracks. Releasing every Sunday this format acts as a counterpart to todays commercially pushed music charts, instead focusing on underground club music and independent producers.
