@cristofeu - Music | Gently catching and slowly building intro track that leads up to a driving beat. I rarely start my sets that fast, so I haven't gotten to use the intro that often, but this track gets me every time. The whole EP by the French artist Cristofeu is extremely good, filled with a trancy atmosphere and smooth, exciting breaks.

@tomasurquieta - 32 Balas (@siumata & @amorsatyr Remix) | Siu Mata and Amor Satyr, without a doubt some of my favourite artists and almost every release a hit, bring their style to Tomas Urquita's 32 Balas. Wicked speed dembow on a high level. The first time I played this track was in a club in Peru, which brings back great memories.

@djbjf - Check | I just recently came across BJF, a Paris-based DJ and producer. The track is confident, demanding and an absolute heater. I need more of this.

@CARREO - Fainting | I usually keep the energy relatively high in my sets. This track gives you time to breathe and then picks you up again. Metallic wobbles and a dubstepish sound are new to me and I really like them. Thanks for introducing, Carré.

@sun-project - Computer Breath | My charts would not have been authentic without a track like Computer Breath. Sometimes I listen through the old Goa Head albums and this is definitely one of my achievements. I've played this track so many times and I can't get enough of it.  S.U.N. Project is a psy trance act from Hamburg who formed in the 90s and were originally a heavy metal band. I think it's totally crazy what kind of sound they have developed.

Mariyam is a DJ who recently moved to Hamburg. She made her debut as yamyam in the beginning of 2022. In the same year, she became part of the freshly founded, Hannover-based electronic music collective @pavement-gum and has been exploring the spectrum of electronic music, regularly reinventing her dynamic drive. Her sound moves between spherical patterns, stringent 4-to-the-floor motifs and baile-esque breaks. 

Proper Charts is a weekly format bringing you a diverse line up of artists and DJs showcasing their personal current top 5 tracks. Releasing every Sunday this format acts as a counterpart to todays commercially pushed music charts, instead focusing on underground club music and independent producers.
