This track describes life in the early 2k in the south - from the south of Medellin. It is for sure a hymn to all those who had the privilege of growing up in that part of the valle - Envigado. Ultrajala has been a very important part of the hip-hop history in Colombia. La buena pa la gente de EVG.

@djgrafxp-music (feat. MC L3) - Olha amor aonde eu tô: Baile Funk is one of the most representative genres of the so-called latinx club scene, inspiring the production of many artists from all over the world. Dj Grafxp from São Paolo brings the favela and the sun to our ears with this track on @clubdz7. Highly recommended to listen to the whole album and remember to support the artists from Brasil who produce baile, which is being appropriated by many people coming from the global north.

@nengoflowofficial & DJ Sincero - Nebolosa: When I found this track, it became one of my favs of the last time. Growing up with the sound of Ñengo Flow and being acostumbrado to his reggaeton and hip hop tunes, I loved to hear his melodic voice on a heavy electro banger produced by dj sincero. This track of the puertorriqueño comes from his second released album 'el combo que no se deja' from 2008.

@bnyiii - Renacer como una gata fiera: Gata Fiera by the talented producer and DJ from Venezuela based in Leipzig, was released on the latest compilation of the infamous label @nofutureberlin. He uses and redefines the vocals of Trebol Clan's reggaeton clasico, mixing it with punchy basslines and energetic percussions. It reminds many fine elements of raptor house and latinx-core* sound. Do not sleep on him and his upcoming productions and gigs!

Outside of the steady flow of daily tasks and the maintenance of everyday order, music provides us an opportunity to once again fall into a state of deep contemplation, breaking through the passive mundanity of quotidian life. After a four-month hiatus, Scandal has gathered together eight local female producers to launch its debut compilation “Scandal: Alexithymia 述情障碍” in January of 2022. This release will also officially mark the establishment of the Scandal label. We will also continue to achieve our goal: to help more women express their creative desires and pursue their creative passions, and increase the representation of female musicians.

The term Alexithymia is a classical compound combining the ancient Greek words “a-” “léxis” “thymós”, respectively translated as "no" "speech" "emotion". Taken literally, the term means “silent and ruthless”. In the field of psychiatry, alexithymia is a personality trait characterized by the inability to perceive and express emotions in daily life.

“Scandal: Alexithymia 述情障碍” intends to reflect on the current atmosphere of atomization and fragmentation in our society, inviting eight local female producers to demonstrate how they express this emotional blockage through their music. At present, alexithymia is ubiquitous, exacerbated by coronavirus social distancing, an increasingly polarized political landscape when it comes to social and identity-based issues, or other reasons we’re unable to discuss. In a world where we can’t speak to our emotions, we need the interpretive power of music more than ever.

Almost every time I come across it, I feel compelled to play it. There's something about it that brings to mind the loading screens of video games. It's like a brief pause to rejuvenate and gear up for the next challenge. Listening to it relaxes me immensely; I adore its simplicity.

sofa - across the ocean: I consider @triplexlarge to be one of my most frequently visited SoundCloud accounts. “across the ocean” is the first song I discovered from this account. It captured my heart, and ever since, I've been enamored. Each new release from them brings me a profound sense of peace and a wave of nostalgia. Lately, I've found myself drawn to downtempo music; the slower pace provides a welcomed respite from the fast-paced dance tunes I often produce. It's a refreshing break from the daily chaos and the constant party scene.

Depeche Mode - Useless (@kruderdorfmeisterofficial Session): Several years back, a friend introduced me to this song one morning after a party. I found myself listening to it on repeat all the way home. Though I occasionally forget about it, it resurfaces in my mind every so often. Remarkably, the emotions it stirs within me remain as potent as when I first heard it. It's astonishing how the simple act of waves hitting my ear can evoke such profound emotions. I love music.

AIR - Modular Mix: Every city should install big speakers in their streets and play this song every morning. A must have for my morning routine. just pure vibes..

Grupo G - La Cumbia de los Monjes: My introduction to cumbia happened during my first trip to Colombia, even though this particular song is from a Mexican group. That journey introduced me to incredible people and sparked a deep love for the country. This song has become my ultimate favorite cumbia tune. Its rhythm is infectious, and I find it impossible to tire of it. To me, it embodies pure happiness. Que viva la cumbia por siempre por siempre!

@y_u_qt - Abricot dub: Call me cheesy but I love ittt!! The melody is so melancholic that my heart almost bursts into pieces and yet the track is so strong in the baseline at the same time. @merca-bae - Morder: Ass-shake-alarm!! It’s too short and too good, so I always hear the track at least twice in a row. Shoutouts to Wilma, who showed me Merca bae. It's best to share my love for dembow, reggaeton and dancehall with her - I usually learn something interesting about the genres or we just dance together. Liebeee!

When I played Feeling Closer recently, I just loved watching ppl how they catch up on it. @kaizenltd def worth checkin, was @mixmag-1 top 20 record labels in 2016.

@djdjrubiorubio - Cannonball: and another all time fav.  Helsinki-based producer rubio was my pen pal:) I felt in love with Cannonball and wrote about my experiences and emotions with it n got supersweet replies, e.g., about how the track came to life and how it involves field recordings from a tel aviv market. It's one of my must tracks when I play as pausenraum, on ambient floor, listenings, or the like.

„I have to say it was a lot of overthinking for me on how to approach this mix. I wanted to record something that you could listen to in one take, with fluid progressions and a certain dynamic course. As I'm listening to a wide range of music styles, it was an even harder challenge to showcase what I like at the moment. 
Therefore I tried to give you a small insight into tracks I feel a connection to and which have had a heavy influence on my mood and musical self at the time.

@jochempaap - Ginger (Remastered 2021): I found this track a few days ago before meeting up with my friend @nuage-sonore-mlt-rec303 and instantly felt like this could be the perfect opener to a journey across multiple genres; as it is slowly building up in very calm way, paired with raw drums and oldschool sounddesign without setting to many boundaries on what follows after. 

@suelewig - Rose: Completely love this track with its pure, timeless and deep atmosphere. I got to know Sue Lèwig after the latest @splinter-cell-unit event in march. We had a great talk about the current state of electronic music and what needs to change for it to be a more sustainable and inclusive culture. I still think about it a lot.
Even crazier that the track has found its way on our label where we had the chance to curate a 14-track VA with tracks by flinta* artists from all over the globe. 
We are currently in the process of producing the physical CD release of this VA, so hit us up if you want a copy. All profits go directly to the artists.

@xupidx - stop being deep: One of the tracks I can’t get enough from. This production by xupid on @summerpup feels like a daydream and dayrave in one. I think it becomes very powerful when played at the right moment and can lift the whole dancefloor from true melancholy to ecstasy in the blink of an eye. 

@snckbites - unreleased: While listening to snackbites’s new music, I stumbled across one of the tracks in his folder. End of story, I literally have been playing this track since that day in almost every session and it gives me this certain “gritty but smiling“ vibe I only feel when listening to music with cutie snackbites. I’m excited for the official release <3 

@drivenbyattraction x @tadan127 - Dreems: A truly magical track to end with from a crazy forward-thinking album on @area127 by Driven By Attraction and Tadan. This has been one of my favorite tracks since it came out last december. It kept me going through a lot of difficult times and reminded me of how important it is to look out for one another.
