@unitboy1 - GRND! / We've somewhat lost connection with Russian music scenes after the country’s invasion of Ukraine, albeit reasonably so. Artists have become quiet(er), joint projects have ended. Many of the great St Petersburg based labels appear to be off the radar.

Latinoz - Don’t Stop (Youngg P Re-Ape) / Ukrainian artist @youngg_primat was personally affected by the Russian invasion. Before the war, he had still released on the Russian label Private Persons. Let's all hope for the Ukrainian subculture scenes to regain their full strength and beauty one day!

@jimztrax - Rihanna Joint (Extra Spicy) / I assume edits infused with heavy breaks to be an integral part of what I call academic breakbeat music. A promise for dance floor moments where people start smiling and rhythm nerds have extra fun.

@machine-girl - Kill Wolfhead / I'll be forever thankful for the adventures I've had in the Warsaw underground music scene while living there temporarily. Keen on complex beats & experimental music, the Polish subculture shines like a star even in times of political regression.

@m2exe - Liquida (Space Sports) / From Barcelona & Valencia with Love: The ecosystem of @planetariasoundsystem & it's sub-labels is a treasury of fantastic music. On another note, I admire the big universe of breaky music not primarily being dedicated to dance floor energy.

Proper Charts is a music show bringing you a diverse lineup of artists and DJs presenting their personal current top 5 tracks. Releasing twice a month, this format acts as a counterpart to today's commercially pushed playlist culture, focusing on underground club music and independent producers.
