After taking a year-long break from our monthly releases, we’re happy to return with recharged batteries and fresh motivation.

We’re starting off with a collaborative EP by our friends I.M.D, Herrhausen & Treindl, and Geplantes Nichtstun, aptly titled “Slow Trance Still Alive.”

With this release, we once again want to show the full range and diversity of our favorite genre together with the artists. The EP features four varied and driving tracks that invite you to dream, drift away, and lose yourself in deep grooves and warm soundscapes.

Join us on this journey and float hypnotic pulse and subtle energy that make “Slow Trance Still Alive” a beautiful reminder that this sound still has plenty to say.

Für unsere 50. und letzte Folge des Jahres 2025 haben wir Besuch aus Hamburg von unseren zwei Weihnachtsengeln Annika und Anna, a.k.a. @mwaah 😇 bekommen. Die beiden stehen für eine Performance, die irgendwo zwischen DJ-Set 🎧, Theaterbühne 🎭 und spontaner Gefühlsentladung ⚡🤪 schwebt – unvorhersehbar, improvisiert und immer gewürzt mit einer großen Portion Liebe zum Moment 💜. Hört rein und überzeugt euch selbst von ihrem charakteristischen, energiegeladenen Sound 🚀🎤.

🫦 Hallo ihr Zwei, schön dass ihr heute bei uns seid. Verratet ihr uns, wie ihr Beide euch kennengelernt habt?
Uha, wir kennen uns schon locker über 10 Jahre. Was mit Freundschaft & feiern gehen im Kölner Freundeskreis begann, wurde dann in Hamburg zum gemeinsamen Projekt: Mwaah war geboren.

🫦 Mwaah... Wie kam es zu diesem Namen?
Wir wollten ein Gefühl ausdrücken, kein existierendes Wort. Und wir wollten zwei ´A's wegen unserer Vornamen. Sprecht mal selbst, “Mwaah”, also muaaaaa, wie der Kuss. [Anm. d. Red.: 💋👌]

🫦 Wie würdet ihr euren Style in eigenen Worten beschreiben und hat dieser sich im Laufe der Zeit gewandelt bzw. entwickelt?
Catchy, bouncig und lustig nach vorne bei gemäßigtem Tempo. Garantiert improvisiert. Ja: Wir sind mutiger geworden.
 
🫦 Wie kamt ihr darauf auch Gesang in eure Sets zu integrieren und wie entsteht bei euch eine neue Text- oder Gesangsidee?
Erst kam der Gesang, dann die Musik. Die Kombo ist inzwischen unzertrennlich. Unsere Ideen entstehen immer im Prozess - je nach Event, Stimmung, Setting und Musik. Jede Show ist einzigmwaahtig.
 
🫦 Eure Shows gehen ja weit über klassisches Auflegen hinaus – wie entwickelt ihr eure Performances? Gibt es einen festen kreativen Prozess oder entsteht vieles spontan?
Absolut! Wir brainstormen 20% und die restlichen 80% sind improvisiert. Teilweise muss Publikum dran glauben. Wir nehmen uns selbst nicht so ernst.
 
🫦 Habt ihr musikalische Vorbilder oder Performance-Künstler*innen, die euch geprägt haben?
Sesamstraße, Janosch haben geprägt, inspiriert haben so viele mehr!

🫦 Gibt es einen Auftritt, der euch besonders im Herzen geblieben ist – und warum?
Fusion Festival und Château Perché Festival - Dieses Gefühl danach, als hätten wir die Crowd auf eine besondere Art und Weise kennengelernt.
 
🫦 Welche kreativen Grenzen würdet ihr gern als nächstes sprengen? Gibt es ein Element, das ihr unbedingt mal ausprobieren wollt?
Durchaus, wir würden gerne mal mit den Füßen auflegen. Toll wären noch mehr Live-Inputs, bspw. ein Akkordeon.

We all know this moment, you are lying in bed with a loved one and the world stands still.

You put on some music to set the scene for rising temperatures under the sheets…

The set you put on suddenly brings you out of rhythm, but getting up to skip the track is no longer an option.

We have been scouting for the perfect Sunday morning sets for quite a while already and while "Late Night Jockel Session" & "Mattmosphere" have been steady suppliers of them for us, we also developed the idea of asking befriended artists to record one hour of music, to which they like to stay in bed with a loved one.

It's an intimate ask, but most of them said yes.

For Cuddle Cast #38 we asked our fellow Portugal resident @wamanzi and he made a journey perfectly fitting for a rainy autumn day in bed.
