I wrote this in the span of 3 years. First verse was done in 2019 second verse was partly done between 2020 to 2022. When Nipsey passed it hit me the hardest and I needed to do something to celebrate his life then a while later Kobe also passed away followed by one of my biggest inspirations in X. He was the reason I truly started rapping the way I was rapping and Prophet Mike was heavily influenced by him. This song is also dedicated to my friends Danielle and Cris who both tragically passed away at young ages. We love you and miss you both on top of all the legends i aforementioned. Prophet Mike’s journey is officially over after this song drops. It’s time for my OG Mike X era pronounced OGMX. Welcome to the New me. Rip to DMX, Nipsey, Kobe and the many more legends and personal people we have all loved and will forever love.
