'Black Scent' is about the loss of a loved one, where the person staying behind describes the experience of letting go. It is also about the choice to make in that sadness: living through it or allowing the pain to swallow you whole. The one left behind wants to keep the love alive, which we describe as the desire to keep the loved one as a perfume, knowing that the scent will fade eventually.

Prospectif is the surprising result of a collaboration between Dutch producer Folkert Brands and Belgian singer-songwriter Elisabeth Daniel. After a successful experiment in 2017, they decided to combine their very diverse musical backgrounds in a new project. 

Their music, which can be described as ambient triphop, is an original mix, with Elisabeth Daniel's intense vocals. It is fresh, often dreamy, and at times "danceable". It is an atmospheric soundtrack for life because of its metaphorical lyrics.

They write songs jamming to tracks Folkert creates and gives a title to, and then Elisabeth writes melody and lyrics. Think of a mix of Massive Attack, Moderat and Maribou Sate, with vocals reminiscent of London Grammar and Joy Williams.
