I played my first big gig in Florence in 2002, at the Fotazza de Bass. It was the beginning of a long lasting love affair between myself and Italy. I love Italy, I love the people, the parties, the clubs, the festivals, the vibe, the food and a million other things. I am so grateful that over such a long period of time, Italy has allowed me to come and play music. Especially Florence, where it all started for me, and the Viper Club has been a big part of that. A location, that was normally used to play alternative and rock shows mostly, has always been perfect for “our” kind of music too. I have such amazing memories in this place and I hope to be back there one day. This set was recorded there on November 12th 2011, which seems like a lifetime away… well maybe it is. Today´s AMFM episode contains the fourth and last hour of the set, I hope you enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed playing it…

Although Mauro Somm is a relative newcomer to the international techno scene, he has already started carving out a name for himself amongst some of the best selling Beatport artists within the driving and peak-time techno genre. Based in Buenos Aires, he has been signed on Christian Smith’s Tronic as well as other stand out labels, including IAMT, Renesanz Records, InDeep'n'Dance, Bloodymoon Records, Dolma Records, and with future projects releasing soon on Loose Records.
Due to Mauro Somm’s fresh and original production style, he has gained support from some of the most creative influencers within the industry, such as UMEK, Christian Smith, Gallya, Joyce Mercedes, Space 92, Sisko Electrofanatik. As a member of Groove Selections – a prestigious booking agency and event production company – he has plans to perform at iconic events throughout the globe, once the restrictions are lifted. That said, you’ll be seeing and hearing a lot more from this true rising star in the not too distant future.
