Heavenly Father, our loving Lord, be with all those who are suffering at the hands of non-believers. Protect them from the devil who intends to persecute our brethren just because they are Your followers, they love You and they adore You. 

Oh Lord, help every Christian man and woman who is going through any form of persecution in any part of the world. Hear their plight and enable them to bear the pain as You have said in Matthew 10:22 

“You will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

Lord, give them the strength to remain firm in their faith, despite any physical, emotional or psychological suffering they may have to endure for the sake of Your name. Protect each one from harm and danger that stalks their path. Hide them under the shadow of Your wings. Support and strengthen them in the misery that they are going through.

Let Your peace, joy and love reign in their hearts, and help them to walk humbly before You, as they identify with the sufferings that You endured for them. Loving Father, may their lives, and possibly their deaths, be a fruitful witness. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Prayer For The Tormented Christian Community

Dear Heavenly Father, there are so many brothers and sisters, who right now are experiencing oppression for being Your children. They are being hated by everyone around them because of their love for Jesus. They are being persecuted, imprisoned, isolated and punished in different ways. They are following Jesus, they are proclaiming Jesus, they are winning souls for Jesus and it’s costing them greatly.

Your Holy Word says: “when one part of the body hurts, the whole body hurts.” Lord, we feel pain for our brothers and sisters who are being persecuted due to their Christian identity in countries like Pakistan where following Jesus is the reason for discrimination, worshiping Jesus is considered provocation, and proclaiming Jesus is a possible invitation to the death. 

Despite all the hardships they faithfully follow You, no matter what risk they might go through they continue following Your footsteps. Gospel is their passion in the midst of storms. And making disciples for You is their mission regardless of the consequences they may face. Lord, protect those brave and faithful individuals and their families so they may continue glorifying Your name in the countries where many lost souls are yet to know You and much work still has to be done. In Jesus´ name, Amen.

Prayer For Christians In Midst Of Storms

God, we pray right now for Your sons and daughters in different parts of the world where they are being persecuted for their faith in You. God, we pray for Your strength for them. We pray for Your help for them. Lord, we pray that You would uphold them with Your righteous right hand. We pray that You would give them boldness to follow You and to proclaim You even at great costs.

God, we pray for those who are in prison unjustly. We pray that they would feel Your presence with them. They would know that we are interceding for them and they are not alone. God, we pray that the Gospel would spread through them even in prison, that what we see in the book of Acts would be true today. Lord, consider the threats against them and enable Your servants to speak Your word with great boldness. We pray for the salvation of jailers like we see in Acts 16.

God, we pray for the salvation of persecutors like we see in Saul’s life. We believe in a miracle to happen that those who are persecuting Christians will have transformed their hearts to see Jesus as Paul did and would become proclaimers of the Gospel of Christ. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Prayer For Imprisoned Christian Believers

God, help us to proclaim the gospel. Help us not to be ashamed of the gospel, especially for those of us who live in places where there is no religious freedom, where it is a crime to say that Jesus is the only way, truth and life. Where it is unacceptable to claim that except Jesus there is no other God. Where there is a high possibility of being killed for saying that Jesus had warned us of fake preachers who will proclaim themselves as prophets and Gods in order to misguide the believers.

God, help us to be faithful, to follow You fully, give us the wisdom to proclaim You boldly wherever we live, whether we are persecuted or not, in anticipation of the day when persecution will be no more, when we will be welcomed in Your Kingdom. We think about the martyrs around Your throne right now, who are crying out for justice, and You are asking them to wait because more of their number is still to come.

God, if we are to be among that number, then we say, yes Lord, we want to follow You. We want to proclaim You no matter what it costs us in this world. Lord, help us to do so faithfully till our last breath. Help us to endure all the obstacles while following You faithfully and making disciples of all the nations, no matter what it costs all the way to the end. We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
