Protocol D is Finnish heavy metal band. It was founded in Pori, Finland in 2011 by Markku Pihlajaviita and Marko Näsinkoski as a skeletal structure.

Biography
The band was originally formed 2011 when Markku and Marko decided to fulfill together the lifelong dream of both guys: to publish their first full length album after piles of demo tapes recorded over the years in different bands. The project needed a name. After some heavy brainstorming sessions and a few beers “Protocol D” was born. The journey towards a debut album started from a few partial songs and riffs which had been on the playlist every time the guys had been jamming together over the years. These riffs slowly turned into full songs and new ones emerged as Marko and Markku were slowly but surely reaching their dream. Finally in the beginning of 2014 the album became reality. The debut album from Protocol D is called “Stains of Time”.
