Ovion, the newest up-and-comer from heavyweight house label Protocol Recordings, is back with his newest release "On My Way", and it is bound to be a fan favorite. With synth-laden melodies and a computerized vocal riff, "On My Way" possesses both energetic and ethereal elements that are reminiscent of now-classic progressive house anthems with a futuristic touch. Although Ovion is still in the fledgling stage of his career, his raw talent shines through in productions like his first release "I Dream" and now "On My Way". Protocol Recordings recognized the French artist's potential, and it's certain that he will only continue to grow under the mentorship of the label and its roster of accomplished DJs. 

The electronic dance music world first became familiar with Ovion earlierthis year when he impressed fans and tastemakers alike with his first hit, "I Dream". The catchy and unique track was featured on the Protocol Recordings presents Miami 2016 compilation and was one of the best performing tracks of the entire mix. The young producer has a knack for creating tracks that feel grandiose in nature, uplifting enough to inspire and hard-hitting enough to move dance floors. With this solid foundation and two incredible tracks under his belt, Ovion's potential is just being tapped - one thing is for certain, there are big things ahead!

Long before today’s electronic music existed and even before the rise of purist house music, there was disco. It was disco that began the modern dance revolution, and Dumbers & MAXIMALS’s new track “Dancin’” proves that it still holds the timeless power to get a crowd grooving.  The Protocol Recordings producers give a fresh twist on the label’s familiar house sound with the funky, bouncy bass line of “Dancin’”, which is accented by soulful melodies that make the track’s title come to life. Dumbers & MAXIMALS have managed to take a vintage-inspired sound and make it accessible to the modern generation of electronic music lovers, which is a unique move at a time when the music scene is so focused on futuristic productions.

Founded by Nicky Romero, Protocol Recordings is synonymous with house and progressive house music.  However, the label has been signing dynamic up-and-coming talent - such as Dumbers & MAXIMALS - and thus diversifying its music. MAXIMALS is an Italian duo who are inspired by the atmosphere of dance music in the ‘70s and ‘80s, while Dumbers brings his experience playing in funk and rock bands to the table - all influences that are evident in the vibe of “Dancin’”.  Dumbers & MAXIMALS have received support from the likes of Thomas Gold, Firebeatz and more.  Perhaps they will be the ambassadors to bring “old school”, disco-influenced music back to the mainstream! You’d be hard pushed to find bigger debuts for tracks than at Ultra Miami, but getting three dropped across the weekend by both Axwell/\Ingrosso and a reunited Swedish House Mafia is dream factory levels.

Axtone Records is excited to welcome a new Dutch duo to the label, production and DJ powerhouse in the making. Robin & Maurice aka Magnificence.

Starting April 27th, the trio of singles will be released ultimately forming the Magnificence EP that will be landing May 11th.

First up is ‘Cobra’ followed by ‘Fire’ alongside Seth Hills with the final single ‘Out Of My Mind’ alongside Steff da Campo completing the EP.

For the cover art Axtone presents a new artist for the label, French by origin but Tokyo based Quentin Deronzier who has certainly kept it in the Axtone universe whilst moving it to his own galaxy.
