Manual Music is proud to announce its next big project. It's done by Dutch rising stars Callecat and titled 'Symbiosis'.

For 'Symbiosis' the guys took a unique approach; asking their producer friends and artists they admire to create a song together. After locking themselves up in the studio for a year they ended up with a whole bunch of collaborations, two of which you'll find here on the first single.

The release kicks off with 'State Of Mind', a joined effort between Callecat and Manual Music head honcho Paul Hazendonk. A proper rough and rugged piece of peak time progressive house music made to set the dancefloor on fire!

'Unified Formulas' marks their collaboration with prolific producer Meeting Molly and serves as a welcome contradiction compared to 'State Of Mind'. 'Unified Formulas' is more laid back with its dreamy melodic soundscapes combined with organic progressive beats and percussion.

Two songs that showcase both sides of the Callecat spectrum, and a perfect first sneak peek on what to expect of the 'Symbiosis' project!

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White opens the new year by welcoming ShemoW to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from the progressive house hotbed of Sri Lanka, ShemoW's passion for music production was sparked after a viewing of the 2015 UMF After Movie trailer, a moment which marked his journey into becoming a DJ and producer. After years of honing his skills, the Rathnapura resident emerged with his first offerings in 2019, a trio of releases which laid the foundation for his future as a progressive house artist. 2024 proved to be the most impactful year, with ShemoW recording projects for 3rd Avenue, Balkan Connection, Kodai and Soundteller, amongst others. Now firmly solidified as a newcomer to watch, ShemoW begins 2025 with his Dopamine White debut ‘Glitchwave'.

The charged progressive vibes of ‘Glitchwave' set the pace for ShemoW's two-track showcase. Beefy kick drums, pulsating grooves and rugged percussion lay the foundation for pyrotechnic synth mutations and orbiting effects to paint an electric storyboard, while an ominous break serves to build tension and anticipation onwards to a thunderous drop and cosmically correct finale.

The second and final selection 'Echoes in the Void' lands with equal dancefloor vigor, as ShemoW flexes his groove crafting prowess across the seven-minute piece. Mystical textures and filtered noise highlight a character-rich top line, as evolving percussive arrangements create a confident club energy leading into the break. Spanning nearly two minutes in length, the interlude melts down to a quiet calm, carefully withholding energy for a peak time conclusion to round out the release on a huge note.

Roger Martinez's Higher States opens the new year by welcoming Ra Duh to the label for his debut EP. Best known for his The Real Experience artist moniker, Romanian artist Ra Duh has been a fixture of the progressive house underground for over a decade. Releases via Aboriginal, Balkan Connection and Laika Sounds sit as discography highlights, showcasing a dark groovy sound favoured by a wide assortment of genre tastemakers. Also a highly regarded DJ, Ra Duh has played an active role in his country's nightlife, programming music for some of Romania's trendiest events and venues, most notably Pârtia Cârlibaba, RoBurn and Untold Festival, amongst others. With the final Real Xperience release coming in 2022, the Romanian artist has spent the last two years retooling his sound for the launch of his Ra Duh alias. Now, as 2025 begins to take shape, he embarks on this new production journey, notching the moniker's debut 'Sigma / Ganymede' via Higher States.

Lead track ‘Sigma' finds Ra Duh collaborating with fellow countryman Hadrian aka Audio State. The Cluj Napoca resident has achieved measurable success under his Audio State alias, with a superlative string of releases featuring a club-effective approach to modern techno music. Pan Pot's Second State and Mistress Barbara's Terminal M have been landing spots for Audio State's premiere projects, in turn earning praise from the underground's elite guard. Now debuting his new artist moniker Hadrian, he teams up with Ra Duh on ‘Sigma'. Full of darker monochromes, the duo's creative synergy shines across this deep chuggy cut, one complete with tension filled builds, swing-heavy rhythms and a devilish effects narrative which pushes the journey to the very edges. Vibrant chord stabs provide an enduring main theme leading into the break, tactfully percolating as the interlude evolves, before melting down to a finale of looping hypnotism.

The release concludes with ‘Ganymede' which finds Ru Duh operating in solo capacity. The Romanian expounds his progressive vision here, with spacious rhythms and wispy sonics blanketing tough kick drums and chunky basslines. Clever percussive co-actions marry squelchy stabs and orbiting effects, while an inventive break highlighted by mediterranean motifs and an understated build preludes a finale of charming overlays and carefully controlled sonic manipulations.
