Plaisirs Sonores Records is thrilled to announce the release of the 'Dual EP' by dynamic producer, Kabi (AR).

Continuing our mission to deliver captivating soundscapes that push the boundaries of electronic music, this new release will be available on all major platforms from July 28th, 2023.

Kabi, known for his evocative soundscapes, returns with a two-track progressive house masterpiece. With previous signings on renowned labels like Replug and The Soundgarden, Kabi (AR) is no stranger to crafting tunes that echo within the soul and leave listeners yearning for more.

The 'Dual EP' aptly commences with the title track 'Dual,' a rolling progressive house number imbued with resonant synth work and infectious melodies. The tune, like its name suggests, plays on the duality of music - its capacity to energize and soothe, making it a versatile addition to any DJ's set.

Meanwhile, the second track, 'Spicy,' offers a darker, more intense experience. This peak time banger, loaded with hypnotic repetitive synths, is tailored for the throbbing pulse of the dancefloor. Its compelling rhythm and tantalizing progression are guaranteed to immerse listeners in an exhilarating sonic journey.

Label founders Hicky and Kalo are already advocates for this release. They shared their experience, stating: "We've played these tracks a few times at Stereo Montreal and New York with great success. They always work so well in a club setting. The reception has been fantastic, and we can't wait for the audience at large to experience these tunes."

'Dual EP' is a compelling testament to Kabi's musical prowess and a proud addition to Plaisirs Sonores Records' growing catalogue. The EP encapsulates the label's ethos of delivering driving yet emotionally resonant music that not only resonates with listeners but also shapes the future of progressive house music.

D.J. MacIntyre's SLC-6 Music opens the fall season by welcoming Luciano Capomassi and Martin Fredes for their first appearance on the label. Based in Argentina and Spain respectively, both Luciano and Martin have gotten their production careers off to an impressive start. Although less than five years into their journey, the duo boasts a combined discography highlighted by releases via AMITABHA, Droid9, RYNTH, The Purr and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden. Often finding the creative space between progressive and organic house, Luciano and Martin now combine their extensive forces for the first time, making their SLC-6 Music debut with 'Midnight Mirage', alongside a remix from Weird Sounding Dude. Further diversifying their portfolio, Luciano and Martin craft an uplifting progressive groover that both new and old fans of the genre will appreciate. Aimed squarely at the dancefloor, the duo's smooth chugging basslines, hopeful pads, and emotive melodies unite in a colourful marriage, ultimately leading to a captivating break. Percolating rhythms, tasteful overlays, and sweeping effects take center-stage across the interlude, before warm beats emerge from their progressive architecture, pushing onwards to a thrilling finale. As one of India's rising musical mavericks, Weird Sounding Dude has emerged from his country's electronic landscape as a premiere progressive house talent. Long a favourite of genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J and Cid Inc, the Bangalore resident often touches on disparate themes and sounds, straddling the divide between intergalactic design and groove-centric hypnotism. With a career that now spans a decade, Weird Sounding Dude has compiled an impressive discography with standout releases via Anjunadeep, Hoomidaas, The Soundgarden and Sudbeat Music. Now, making his SLC-6 Music debut, Weird Sounding Dude puts his inimitable production touch on 'Midnight Mirage'. Warm basslines and rebounding rhythms set the course for snatches of metallic arps, siren-like sonics and bright percussive arrays. A gorgeous contrast from the Indian artist, and one which is explored further across a cosmically correct break. A haze of trailing effects sets the backdrop for percolating clusters to build tension with each successive pass, before Weird Sounding Dude's progressive attitude reveals itself during a commanding drop and groove-centric finale.

Premiere: Bemannte & Bruder - Headcaver (Mayro Remix) [Clubsonica Records]

Paul Losev makes his return on 90watts after the release of his 'That Time' single earlier this year, and his remix for Hansgod a year ago. The US based producer also calls labels such as Where The Shadow Ends, Manual Deep and Be Adult Music his home.

If this double A-sider would have been released on vinyl then 'sex on wax' would have been the right description without a doubt. Paul's ability to write smooth and emotive songs clearly shows on the opening track 'Verticals'. 'Not Meant To Be' is a little bit more rough around the edges, especially in the second part of the track, but remains true to Paul's core signature sound.

We Are Only a Feeling

Simio Albino - Who Am I [3rd Avenue]

Clubsonica Records opens the month of March by unveiling the fifth edition of their Sampler Series. Following its debut in 2021, Clubsonica's Various Artists Sampler Series is now a regular and much anticipated offering in the label's catalog, fitting nicely alongside the MMW and ADE showcases which operate under a similar ethos. The trending series has been a platform not only for a wide assortment of upcoming talent, but continues to add some of progressive music's most notable names with each successive edition. Genre veterans Golan Zocher, Greenage, Kamilo Sanclemente, Ric Niels, Ruben Karapetyan, amongst others, have all graced Clubsonica's much sought after Sampler Series, sitting alongside a carefully curated blend of talented up and comers. Now embarking on their fifth edition, Clubsonica boss Juan Pablo Torrez has compiled the series' most comprehensive volume to date.

The first selection is Erich Von Kollar. Much like many progressive house producers, the Debrecen resident has recently revitalized his career with a string of organic-focused productions via Amulanga and Nordic Voyage. With a well-received release via Ruben Karapetyan's RKP imprint to begin the year, Erich now makes his Clubsonica debut with the smooth hypnotic sounds of ‘Vertical Maze'. 

Selection two finds NAHS alongside Martin Fredes. On the backing of support from genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, the Argentinean duo have become household names in the global progressive house scene over the last half decade. With a sound that incorporates a perfect balance of melody, groove and rhythm, NAHS and Martin have racked up impressive resumes in the process, with standout releases via Mango Alley, Plattenbank, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden sitting prominently on their respective discographies. 

The collection's third offering is Nic Rinaldi. Hailing from Colombia, Nic Rinaldi first emerged in 2021 with a release via Madloch's Future Avenue. The next two calendar years would see Nic continue to develop his sound, adding projects with 3rd Avenue and MNL to his discography. Also well regarded as a DJ, Nic has been a fixture of his country's nightlife since 2017, sharing the booth with international talents such as Kevin Di Serna, Oliver Koletzki, Quivver and local heroes such as Clubsonica label boss Juan Pablo Torrez. Now continuing to trend on an upwards trajectory, Nic adds Clubsonica to his resume with the rejuvenating energies and trance-inspired melodies of ‘Night Rider'. 

Next up and is Sensy with ‘Masquerade'. The Ibiza resident's impeccable selections and ability to seamlessly program Organic, Progressive, and Melodic House & Techno into his storytelling sets, is what has ultimately set him apart from other local DJs. Renowned venues such as Carpe Diem, City Hall, Pacha, La Terrazza, amongst others, have played host to Sensy's unique amalgamation of sound. As a producer, Sesys is at the beginning of his journey, with a 2023 release on Amber Long's Modern Architect sitting as his lone debut offering. Continuing to work on his production craft, Sensy now opens his 2024 schedule with his Clubsonica debut ‘Masquerade', a track which incorporates the nostalgic sounds of old school progressive house with a timeless vibe throughout. 

The final selection welcomes TAYLAN with ‘Sonoma'. Immediately recognized for his astral sound, TAYLAN would go on a creative swell across the next two calendar years, landing key projects via Beatfreak, Manual Music, Steyoyoke and more, making him a rising talent to watch going forward. Increasingly prolific in the years to follow, TAYLAN's sound caught the attention of long standing imprints such as Movement Recordings and Univack, which further established his elusive sound.

Nikko.Z's Dopamine White continues a strong start to the new year by welcoming NOIYSE PROJECT to the label for their debut EP. The Sri Lankan duo have been touted as one of their country's fastest rising progressive acts. Upon making their debut in September of 2018, NOIYSE PROJECT have gone on to showcase their music on Balkan Connection, BeatFreak Limited, Droid9, Proton's Particles and Stellar Fountain. Now making their first appearance on Dopamine White, the duo present their 'Northern Lights' EP.

NOIYSE PROJECT's career momentum continues to rise with the lead track 'Northern Lights'. Backed by punchy beats and a warm, chunky groove comes electronic rhythms and finely tuned percussion. It's powerful drive is encased in a never ending swirl of cosmic effects and cross cultural fragments, for what results in an otherworldly feel. Clocking in at over two minutes in length the main break proves impactful, gracefully melting down to a sonic sizzle and hopeful musicality, before warm bass swells elevate the mood towards a pulsating finale.

The journey continues with the deep, chugging vibes of 'Black Is You'. Immediately captivating, it's harmonic hooks and catchy effects make for a groovy first act. Rolling percussion and fierce stabs play off a sultry low end, making for an irresistible, hip swinging groove leading into the break. Phasing concepts and ghostly vocals create a compelling canopy of sound, perfectly rooted by warm bassy rumblings glowing atmospheres, before smoothly transitioning into a tasteful build and epic finale.

The release concludes in fine fashion with the reflective qualities of 'Leaving the Summer'. Beginning with perfectly sculpted beats and a wide array of percussive meanderings, it's immediately compelling from the start. Warm atmospheres and bubbly arps gently encase the framework, as a prominent tonal theme drives momentum forward. Soulful instrumentation trails across the backdrop, carrying effortlessly into the break, building emotion with each successive loop before smoothly segueing into a powerful final act. Groovy and emotive in equal measure, it rounds out what is an inspired collection of music from NOIYSE PROJECT, who look set to be one of 2020's most beloved progressive house acts.
