An artist with a diverse and storied relationship with the dance music scene, GMJ & Matter are proud to see Kasper Koman make his label debut with the twin-track "Sinking Sky / Biome". A veteran of more than a century of production credits dating back to a 2008 debut, Kasper Koman has seen his work signed to myriad high-profile labels including the likes of Plattenbank, Anjunadeep and Guy J's Lost & Found. From central Netherlands, Kasper has combined trademark emotion with a powerful and evocative sound that has seen his music supported by such leading tastemakers as Guy Mantzur, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J himself. Now debuting on Meanwhile, the "Sinking Sky" opener is characterised by a driving beat and metronomic hi-hat pattern. A running 16th note bassline pattern enters the fray in the second movement with a fizzing vibrancy provided by resonating and filtered effects. A cast of additional characters add to the overall sonic landscape including a beautifully juxtaposed pad progression. A spine-tingling breakdown provides acetylene-edged emotion via the extended bassline motif, before hitting its stride once more in the latter stages to wondrous effect and no small amount of production talent. "Biome" continues the narrative of raw effects-laden power, while a strong kick lays the foundation for a piercing percussive groove, adding swing to the off-beat. A well-crafted sonic palette supplies a soft chord progression of Kraftwerk-inspired imagination as a meandering array of well-placed effects, white-noise washes and rasping bass notes create a mosaic of sounds. The result is a hypnotic, angular offering that keeps listener interest piqued without a central melody seeing the 6-minute piece fly past in an instant. Eichenbaum, the Argentinean producer known for his melodic prowess, has been steadily building a catalogue of tracks that ooze style. Following on from his standout 2023 EP on Balance Music, Eichenbaum drops another gem that’s already turning heads: a progressive anthem backed by remixes from some of the scene’s most promising rising talent.

Sweden’s EMPHI flips the script with a remix that’s dripping in groove. The tempo feels seductive, anchored by a bassline that swings like it’s got something to prove. Add in a kick drum big enough to swallow the dance floor, and you’ve got a certified weapon. Javi Bora and Le Vinyl reignited their winning collaboration with this searing four-tracker on Steve Bug's Audiomatique label. Both hailed from Spain and were heavily influential in the notorious party capital of Ibiza – with Javi Bora as Kehakuma resident DJ at Spaze Ibiza – it was fair to say that both of these guys knew how to lay down tracks that worked crowds to the bone. Luckily, this release did all that and more.

'Momma’s Tale' was a slick, punchy and epic jam that somehow managed to keep its tension throughout the track, building into an unstoppably infectious groove.
Sacha D'Flame added soulful, classic-house-infused vocals to bring the whole thing to a floor-wrecking climax. Also included was a Dub Mix for DJs who preferred the more stripped down approach.

'Heart Roaring' was another main room bomb waiting to go off. Its swirling groove and sharp, funky programming was reminiscent of Detroit house masters such as Rick Wilhite and Norm Talley, and was sure to wreak serious damage when dropped at peak time.
