Plaisirs Sonores Records is thrilled to announce the release of the 'Dual EP' by dynamic producer, Kabi (AR). 

Continuing our mission to deliver captivating soundscapes that push the boundaries of electronic music, this new release will be available on all major platforms from July 28th, 2023. 

Kabi, known for his evocative soundscapes, returns with a two-track progressive house masterpiece. With previous signings on renowned labels like Replug and The Soundgarden, Kabi (AR) is no stranger to crafting tunes that echo within the soul and leave listeners yearning for more. 

The 'Dual EP' aptly commences with the title track 'Dual,' a rolling progressive house number imbued with resonant synth work and infectious melodies. The tune, like its name suggests, plays on the duality of music - its capacity to energize and soothe, making it a versatile addition to any DJ's set. 

Meanwhile, the second track, 'Spicy,' offers a darker, more intense experience. This peak time banger, loaded with hypnotic repetitive synths, is tailored for the throbbing pulse of the dancefloor. Its compelling rhythm and tantalizing progression are guaranteed to immerse listeners in an exhilarating sonic journey. 

Label founders Hicky and Kalo are already advocates for this release. They shared their experience, stating: "We've played these tracks a few times at Stereo Montreal and New York with great success. They always work so well in a club setting. The reception has been fantastic, and we can't wait for the audience at large to experience these tunes." 

'Dual EP' is a compelling testament to Kabi's musical prowess and a proud addition to Plaisirs Sonores Records' growing catalogue. The EP encapsulates the label's ethos of delivering driving yet emotionally resonant music that not only resonates with listeners but also shapes the future of progressive house music.

The Munich-based label Plattenbank, led by Guy Manzur, presents a striking two track release that brings together an unexpected artistic collaboration. While ECHO DAFT has previously contributed to Plattenbank with tracks on the fifth and ninth editions of the label's bestselling compilation, Secrets, this marks the first official release showcasing his studio partnership with Kebin Van Reeken. Both artists have built strong international followings, and their combined efforts have resulted in a seamlessly crafted 17-minute sonic journey that could stand as one of the creative high points in their careers.

The opening track, Years of Ascent, sets the tone with a hypnotic groove and distinctive percussion, stirring deep-seated memories and invoking instinctive movement reminiscent of ancient ceremonial dances. At the same time, its refined production techniques ensure an immersive experience, whether played through massive festival sound systems or in more intimate club settings. The arrangement builds subtly, reaching a peak just before the fifth minute, where the musical vision converges with resonant feedback that energizes any dance floor.

The second track, Mysterious Drag, extends the mood but shifts the focus toward an infectious melody. It takes center stage, gradually emerging from the background, shaping the emotional arc, and culminating in a euphoric peak designed for maximum dance-floor impact.

He’s performed in more than 60 countries, captivating crowds from the USA to South America, from Europe to Asia. Audiences in Mexico, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Germany, France, Sweden, and beyond have experienced the energy and craft that defines his presence behind the decks.

As a producer, Chris has released on some of the most respected imprints in progressive and melodic house. His catalogue includes music on The Soundgarden, UV, Sprout, Mango Alley, onedotsixtwo, Particles, Movement Recordings, LAIKA Sounds, Forensic Records, Roku, Wizarding Wolf, Suza Records, and RKP- to name just a few. His work has appeared in iconic compilation series from Renaissance, Global Underground, and Carl Cox’s Intec, while also gaining support from BBC Radio 1, MixMag, and DJ Mag.

Chris has hit the Beatport charts consistently, including two HYPE number one spots. His remixes of classics like Stella by Jam & Spoon and Western Approaches by Pako & Frederik highlight his ability to bring a fresh perspective to well-loved tracks without losing their essence.

He also runs If You Wait, his own imprint and creative outlet. The label has become a trusted home for his original music and a space to champion rising artists. In 2022, he released the 11-track album Resistance on the label, a project that received critical acclaim and further established his voice as a producer who understands the emotional and structural depth of dance music.

Recognised as one of the “original genre innovators” by Progressive Astronaut and labelled a “Progressive House Pioneer” by Change Underground, Chris Cargo continues to be a guiding light in the global progressive scene: evolving, inspiring, and always delivering.
