After recording this mix, I went out for a walk around my neighborhood.  As I was relistening to this mix during my walk I thought about my hometown and how things have changed drastically for me these last 10 years.  All positive changes.  

I'm lucky to now be able to live in large diverse cities, packed with unique experiences and cultures. Vastly different from anything I experienced in my youth.  Despite now being based in New York City, I firmly believe that no matter where I live, home is where the heart is.  And home was/is/and forever will be Huron, California.  

I hope this mix will take you to your special place the way it took me when I first relistened to it.  Enjoy!

Like a hypnotist with a swinging watch, Aman Anand is a master of manipulation with the sonic sceneries he creates, clearing your mind and adding stimulants via the sounds and textures within Synths chime and soar like a magic, warm basslines drive like smooth wind, and beats generate currents of ecstatic energy . Aman’s grasp of melodic techno and progressive house enables him to sculpt rave hymns of shamanic potential, an equilibrium of cradled serenity and eruptions of danceability. To have your emotions lifted and your body in a state of restlessness are simply consequences of digesting an Aman Anand production, with side effects that’ve been felt throughout the local scene and beyond.

Spending his time between India and Singapore, Aman’s productions blur the line between electronica, progressive house and deep techno, blending these different sounds together in a 
unique way that is his. His tracks have seen support from celebrated artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Secret Cinema and more. The self-taught mechanics of dance music for this 
young musician has started to translate itself into releases on reputable international imprints such as Sudbeat, Balkan Connection, Juicebox Music and Mango Alley to name a few.
