We embark on this airy journey with 2 complimenting tracks by Chris Mørgan. “Alone”, sets a haunting and powerful tone with its lush atmospheres and yearning vocals. The second one is “No”, comprised of equally dreamy textures, features a lighter and more sorrowful tone with delicate string-like accents and long emotional leads. From there, Haffenfold takes the helm of this deep emotive voyage with “Eternal Winters”. Thrusting the listener into a dreamlike trance, this symphony pulls at heartstrings with a masterful display of lush textures and use of evolving horns and other organic instrumentation. The Duo continues building their hopeful and bittersweet ethos. Nilseus concludes our pilgrimage with "Ocean”, his delicate and expressive composition. The dense enveloping atmospheres can hardly contain the driving push of the low end and droning mysterious leads that can be felt in one’s soul as deep an ocean.

Gettin' Deep (Original Mix)

Tel Aviv based DJ and producer Matan Caspi remains a firm favourite at Bonzai Progressive and here we have his latest slice entitled Shiny Coral Reefs. Matan is undoubtedly one of the most productive electronic music producers under the spotlight. He has been constantly developing his music productions and his work has been internationally exposed and played by many artists and top DJís around the globe. As well as producing he is running the label Outta Limits together with his good friend and production partner Stan Kolev, busy with touring and concentrating on his future productions, where  you will find original, raw and innovative material. He continues to dish out quality vibes on various labels and there can be no doubt that his music will be loudly heard on the most popular dance floors around the world.

Matan takes us on a magical, sublime journey through progressive house on the Original Mix. Right from the off you get locked into the groove, with its soft alluring sounds. A tight drum section leads the way and sits over a deep, lush bassline which provides a lot of warmth in the track. Subtle melodies contrast beautifully with the deeper elements and on the break the sweeter sounds dominate. A top notch slice once again from this guy, not to be missed.

Alex Vidal is back at Bonzai Progressive with another one of his superb remixes. Fresh off the back of his last cut - Epiphany - you can be sure that the floors are gonna get rocked. The remix here intros with a smooth, flowing arrangement made up of nice chunky kick drums and rhythmic percussions. Distant synths add mystery to the sound while a fantastic, deep seated bassline powers the groove. Swirling pads create a surreal atmosphere and are joined by pitching soft synths and contrasting harsher sounds. Another superb effort that will not disappoint.

Doriaan returns to Bonzai Progressive with a brilliant remix which comes fresh on the heels of his latest original - Perte EP. Doriaan represents an emerging talent in the progressive house world and we've no doubt we'll be seeing a lot more from this guy in the future. Here the remix intros with a very nice kick drum and crispy hi hat combi which is soon joined by shuffling percussions that get the rhythm moving. Deep droning bass are matched with melodic synths creating a wonderfully contrasting groove. Delicate arpeggios fade in while beautiful vocals add a euphoric touch. The synth play is outstanding here, various layers blend effortlessly, giving us that solid progressive groove. A definite must have.

In the height of the northern hemisphere summer, Andre Sobota turned up the volume with his outstanding "Unmute" EP. A regular on Proton and Particles, Sobota's work is now revisited courtesy of remix from a quartet of Australian, Argentinean and Mexican talents.

Australian artists, Gavin Griffin and Matty Doyle have ridden the crest of a sonic wave in recent months with their GMJ and Matter soubriquets. Highly accomplished individually, each has performed across their native Australia and internationally at a variety of clubs and festivals, not least at the globally renowned "Rainbow Serpent Festival". Both regulars on Proton Music with their individual work that includes the recent "Sovereign Reality" and "We Are Dust" offerings, their combined work has seen May 2016's "Superposition" and June 2017's "Osmosis" demonstrate the duo's rare ability to craft a sparkling underground sound that is as unique as it is impressive. A December 2016 remix of Pete K is now followed by a second, in the shape of Sobota's title track. With a strong rhythmic narrative, the GMJ and Matter remix is replete with additional production material as the shimmering pads of the original are gently revealed alongside a floor-shaking groove and emotive melody. Building effortlessly the intelligent use of original components and striking new motifs, provide an epic offering that has enough class to attend any royal garden party.

From the sprawling Argentinean metropolis that is, Buenos Aries, Nicolás Rada is a man with a rich musical heritage to his name. An accomplished pianist and percussionist, his forays into dance music production have been highly impressive, influenced as he is by the sounds of Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J and Nick Warren. A regular on the Balkan Connection family, over a century of production credits can be found against the main label and the 'South American' variant. Landmarked by 2015's debut full-length "Air Ports" album for BCSA, Rada has gone on to see his work featured on Superordinate, Soundteller and One Of A Kind. August 2017's twin-track "Sheremetyevo" EP has been a notable highlight for Particles as Nicolás Rada now debuts on Proton Music with his remix of "Unmute". Building in elegant fashion, a deep and dramatic bass note accompanies a strong kick and evolving percussive framework, before a muted arpeggio filters into aural view alongside textured pads. Reworking Sobota's original components in clever fashion, the sounds of the original resonate in listener consciousness as a raft of new material finds its way into the third movement in pulsating fashion.

Owner of Hookah Records and a range of live label showcases that have featured the likes of Kastis Torrau and Guy Mantzur, Hot TuneiK is a force to be reckoned with; the Mexican producer creating a plethora of production material that found itself featured on leading underground imprints. Thus, work for 3rd Avenue, Balkan Connection and Dopamine Music are testament to an enduring sound that first debuted on House Tribe Records in 2012. An appearance on the "Spring Particles 2016" compilation showcased impressive original work and a trio of remixes now pave the way for a Proton debut. Taking a typically groove-laden approach to his interpretation of "Departure", the Hot TuneiK remix is wonderfully redolent in the shimmering melodic themes of Sobota's original as they rise and fall, accompanied by strong kick and rich percussive layers. Introducing a host of new melodic elements at the mid-point breakdown, Hot TuneiK's skill is to rework them into a seamless bend of original parts and additional production material that evolves elegantly into the third movement.

A trio of new remixes from GMJ and Matter, Nicolás Rada and Hot TuneiK have turned the volume on Andre Sobota's "Unmute" all the way to 11.

Deersky’s Soundteller Records gets 2020 underway by welcoming NAHS to the label with ‘Birds in Mount Zion’. Having made his production debut just two weeks ago with a contribution to Flug Lab’s ‘Sunset Dreaming’ compilation, the Buenos Aries resident now presents his first single alongside remixes from Fabri Lopez and Matias Chilano.

Beginning with the original mix we find NAHS crafting a deeper progressive sound. Anchored by a shapely groove and nice percussive details, it’s waves of wispy atmospherics and tranquil arps that begin to advance the narrative. Ghostly vocal wails then descend over the framework as layers of percussion continue to build. The bird motifs rise to prominence during the main break before segueing into a catchy arp and drummy roll, perfectly shifting energy into a driving finale.

One of 2019’s fasting rising progressive house artists was undoubted Fabri Lopez. Continued support from Hernan Cattaneo along with releases on Balkan Connection, Clubsonica Records and Dreamers made for a memorable year. Now making his first appearance on Soundteller, the Villa Mercedes resident delivers a superb rendition of ‘Birds in Mount Zion’. Dynamic and punchy from the outset, it’s tough groove carries a driving presence before electric designs, heavenly atmospheres and waves of percussion fill in the framework. Expertly executed, the one minute interlude proves impactful, resonating with fragmented bird chirps and spacey overlays, elevating the mood before a tepid rush sets up a powerful drop and huge finale. Big remix from Fabri.

Rounding out the release and providing the second and final interpretation is Matias Chilano. Long a member of the Soundteller family, the Argentinean artist would have to be considered a veteran of the progressive house underground at this point. 2019 was filled with more great moments, including releases for Balkan Connection South America, Movement Recordings, Proton Music and contributions to Patrice Baumel’s Berlin Global Underground. Now returning to Soundteller for his 14th appearance, Matias turns in a groovy rendition of ‘Birds in Mount Zion’. Anchored by a warm, nicely contoured groove there’s a smooth and effortless vibe from the outset. As drifting atmospheres descend over the framework, sweeping effects and tranquil motifs further tantalize the senses. Frayed percussion and a less distinct take on the vocal continue to build the narrative before a spaced out break and astral finale bring you one step closer to the cosmos. Brilliant stuff from Matias which caps off a great Soundteller release with all three artists involved getting the new year off to a great start. Highly recommended.

The intensely passionate DJ/Producer makes his full label debut with Wonder Way, following up on his excellent remix contribution for the Analog Jungs (ODST0025) package earlier this year. Wonder Way comes complete with a superb remix interpretation, courtesy of fellow Columbian DJ/Producer Kamilo Sanclemente.

Born in Colombia and now residing in Israel, Golan Zocher is the founder of the renowned Bloom Records label and is also constantly focused on creating the finest electronic music for a multitude of other outlets, most recently appearing on Proton, Magnitude, Mango Alley, Beatfreak, Movement, MNL and more. 

Built on an instantly addictive hip-swinging percussive groove, Wonder Way unfolds magically in a supremely effective arrangement of subtle melodic layering and cleverly engaging motifs. It’s hypnotic beauty and euphoric energy becomes even more intense after the mid-point break, as Wonder Way soars skywards before coming full-circle and dipping back into its groove closure.

Kamilo Sanclemente from Cali, southwest of Bogota, is a mainstay of the Colombian and South American underground electronic movement. Having already released an endless flow of solo productions, collaborative projects and remixes in 2020 on labels such as Or Two Strangers, Coldharbour, Anjunadeep, Meanwhile, The Soundgarden, Plattenbank and Global Underground, he now lands at onedotsixtwo with an incredible remix interpretation of Wonder Way.

Opening with a supremely magnificent electronic focus, Kamilo builds sizzling and swirling energy within his cleverly structured remix that invokes an incomparable astral beauty. As if painting with delicate and precise brushstrokes on a musical canvas he creates a melodic masterpiece that features heart-stopping pauses of beauty and expansive energetic abandonment in perfect compliment to the original version and showcases, once again, the diverse creative excellence of the ever-growing onedotsixtwo catalogue.
