The title track is a flowing rhythmic offering that explodes into life with syncopated motif and strong dancefloor character. Free-flowing synth phrases add a moment of contemplation that reach a zenith at the breakdown, while the second half continues the powerful rhythmic groove as bass, melody combine in hypnotic fashion. "Karibu" continues the exceptional percussive drive of its partner-track as an African-inspired melodic phrase adds context and sonic imagination. Pulsating gently as it weaves a path across a magical 9-minute voyage, shimmering synth plucks at the breakdown extend into the post-breakdown zenith along with a glorious array of uplifting counterpoint phrasing.

Producing from his Córdoba studio at the base of the Sierra Chicas mountains, Sebastian Sellares is an artist who has shone brightly since a 2018 debut for PHW Elements. Hitting the heights on the likes of UV, onedotsixtwo and Meanwhile, October 2020's "Jinsei / Zen State" was a Proton Music high point as the two original tracks were joined by remixes from Nick Muir and Matias Chilano. Now returning, the Sebastian Sellares remix is a powerful tour de force that grasps the themes central to the original and transforms "Asante" in a mesmerising and brooding club floor-filler that oozes class with its rhythmic intricacy and smooth melodic phrasing. Building effortlessly into the breakdown, chord changes and rousing crescendo pave the way for the rhythmic intensity and dramatic melodies to make their presence felt in the third movement to devastating effect.

A Proton Music debutant, Gaston Ponte has already demonstrated his considerable talent on an array of blue-chip labels and a double century of production credits on the likes of Balkan Connection, Soundteller Records and Stellar Fountain. Mentored by Andrea Cassino, it is not difficult to hear the skill and craftsmanship that has gone into the Argentinean's reworking of "Asante". Through a combination of intelligent use of the component sounds found in the original plus impressive new production material, the Gaston Ponte remix glistens with a new melodic narrative with its roots firmly in Cassino & Lio Q's track. A pulsating and rasping bassline add to the dynamic interpretation in the second half to create a club-friendly offering that is certain to have global appeal.

Two new original tracks from Andrea Cassino & Lio Q plus remixes from Sebastian Sellares and Gaston Ponte has given global appeal and a warm welcome to "Asante".

Making its annual pilgrimage to the Dutch music capital, Mango Alley provides a virtual tour of sonic highlights that represent the global gathering of Amsterdam Dance Event. Another year of isolation and restricted contact culminates a sonic congregation that showcases emerging and established talents in a melting pot of creativity. Pulsating beats criss-cross the Amsterdam waterways where musical works of art provide a new beginning for autumn's artistic centre.

Roaring to life as knight and day collide in an explosion of sound and colour, a new nirvana emerges. The stars shimmer over the Melkweg and rippling arpeggios take Shelter on the north side before analogue synth motifs find a sweet spot in the Sugarfactory. Imperceptible melodies fade away on the still night air, anchored to their rhythmic foundations that are infused with history and aural narrative.

FORTY CATS Ledokol (Cid Inc. Remix)

Rounding out the month of October, Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Dabeat to the label for his debut EP. Sitting as one of Colombia's premiere progressive house talents, David Barragan aka Dabeat has enjoyed a steady rise since first emerging in 2008 with a release courtesy of Beatfreak Recordings. The next decade saw David perfect his craft with a sound that many describe as groovy, dynamic and emotional. Now laying claim to an impressive discography, the Santiago de Cali resident has showcased his music via Cid Inc's Replug Records, Nick Warren's Hope Recordings, Clubsonica Records, Mango Alley and Proton Music, while continuing to receive play and support from the genre's premiere tastemakers. Now continuing what has been an inspired year, Dabeat makes his Movement Recordings debut with a four-track showcase entitled 'Resonance'.

Getting the release underway with 'Istila', Dabeat collaborates with fellow countryman Zalvador. As occasional studio partners, the duo have recorded joint productions for D-Nox's Sprout, Mango Alley, Univack and more. Aiming squarely at a peak time dance floor 'Istila' sets the tone for the release with its infectious grooves, buzzing effects and warm, breezy overlays. Tantalizing arps emerge leading into the main break, acting as a perfect bridge into an interlude where emotive melodies marry placid pads onwards to a heartfelt finale.

Selection two finds Dabeat collaborating with frequent studio partner and progressive music star Kamilo Sanclemente. Long regarded as one of Colombia's foremost electronic music talents, the Cali resident has found a home on Anjunadeep, Clubsonica, Songspire and The Soundgarden, while earning continued support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. Now paired with Dabeat once again the duo deliver the EP's title selection 'Resonance'. Tight and rhythmic in all the right ways; fiery percussion and wavy arps set the course for aural enlightenment. Emotive chord changes transcend time and space across the first act, providing a poignant anchor for metallic motifs and shapeshifting melodies to work their magic during a thrilling conclusion.

The release concludes with two solo productions from Dabeat, beginning with the meditative sounds of 'Holofractal'. Its pulsating groove is perfectly contoured, adorned with rhythmic waves, delicate arps and colourful chord stabs. Glowing pads advance narrative, moving through poignant chord changes, while adding depth and emotion leading into the main break. Moving from placid soundscapes to cosmic creativities, the interlude not only shifts mood but builds tension towards a thumping drop and playful finale.

The final selection 'Sacrana' follows suit and is well in line with the previous track with its free flowing, trippy style. A marriage of emotive harmonics dazzle across the first act, sitting atop a fluid, progressive minded groove and layers of driving percussion. Once again, the main break is set to delight dance floors with its emotional disposition and tasteful build, which perfectly shift energy into a fluid, key changing finale. Exhilarating and memorable, it rounds out a welcome Movement Recordings debut for Dabeat, a highly talented artist who continues to be one of Colombia's most exciting progressive house producers.

A year after his well received 'Morning Vibes' single, a collaboration with Dabeat, progressive house super star Kamilo Sanclemente makes his return on Francesco Pico's Magnitude Recordings with his brand new single; the smooth and sexy 'Honest'.

Kamilo personally asked two rising artists, Axel Giova and Topo Larocca, to create a remix to complement this release and they did so with class.
