Moscow and London combine in elite cosmopolitan splendour as Blanka Barbara and Mango's "Starwalk" shines brightly in the underground dance firmament. Shimmering synths light up a brightly coloured musical universe as they pitch and bend, while a cavernous kick and deeply felt bassline provide a warm and vibrant energy. Meanwhile, Fabri Lopez illuminates from the banks of the River Quinto with heady concoction of bassline prowess and percussive cadence. Familiar melodies ripple in the background amidst sonic splendour and resplendent new motifs.

Roaring into life, The Wash creates a new tension from the banks of the Danube. Glittering pianos sparkle against a densely textured Viennese swirl and powerful, fast-paced groove. Clouds of sound coalesce in new sonic patterns over familiar musical landscapes. The heart of Europe gives way to sprawling Maharashtra state where beauty and subtlety combine via the sound of Haen in a new "Starwalk". Evocative motifs shine brightly in an organic texture of ingenuity and native influences above a bassline and chord progression full of melancholic emotion.

An artist making a welcome return to Proton Music, Eric Lune now debuts in solo guise with his "Airbag" EP. Remixes come from UK and US artists.

First appearing on Proton Music alongside Golan Zocher, the "North to South" EP marked an impressive debut for Eric Lune, accompanied by remixes from Kobana and Michael A. Already finding himself featured on the likes of Plattenbank, Juicebox Music and Sound Avenue, the Australian artist reveals a masterclass of production prowess with the immaculately crafted "Airbag". Characterised by pounding beat and sumptuous synth lines, shimmering arpeggiated sequences combine with a glissando bassline that adds a classy touch to proceedings. Building in effervescent fashion, vocal fragments swirl in circular patterns that come to the fore at the breakdown before powerful synth stabs hit the front in the second half to create a vibrant and dynamic affair.

Another returning artist sees Nick Muir needing no introduction. A global icon known for his spellbinding DJ performances as well as his work as part of the Bedrock act with John Digweed, Muir became a regular on the label of the same name. Furthermore, the UK star has over a double century of credits for the imprint while also appearing on the likes of Traum, Replug and Perspectives Digital. Returning to Proton after standout reworkings of Rick Pier O'Neil and Sebastian Sellares, the Nick Muir remix takes "Airbag" on a powerful, multi-faceted voyage that oozes class. Using a hefty kick and metronomic bassline foundation, expert use of components from Lune's original flow through the 9-minute interpretation with ease and ingenuity. Simultaneously, a swathe of new production material from the Nick Muir arsenal sees the track build in intensity with a rise and fall that comes with decades of industry know-how. An explosive dénouement in the final movement thus creates a club-friendly, hands-in-the-air' moment that is certain to fill clubs the world over.

After successful solo outings and extensive DJ performances, Mariner + Domingo have been regulars on Particles since a March 2021 debut remixing Izzet. Going on to release the "Azimuth" debut EP later that month with remixes from Juan Deminicis and Rafa'EL, a second EP in the shape of "Lose Control feat. Priest Music Productions" was another notable highlight in May. Now making their Proton Music debut the Mariner + Domingo remix is a commanding reinterpretation that revels in a dynamic percussive backdrop where emotive new melodies create a dramatic and melancholic air. Atop heavy beat, glorious new melodies gently filter into sonic range evolving in immaculate fashion as the track develops. Paying tribute to Eric Lune's original with reference to the vocal cuts and glissando bassline, the Mariner + Domingo remixer is a mastery of understated underground progressive house.

Creating a sonic explosion with his "Airbag", Eric Lune finds Nick Muir and Mariner + Domingo the perfect driving companions on his solo debut journey.

Majestic piano sequences sweep gently across a melodic landscape coalescing in sonic clouds that shift and transform. Rhythmic foundations criss-cross in regular patterns hewn into the mountainside in sweeping juxtaposition, while glassy synth phrasing glistens on ocean waves. Distorted patterns create a new cadence wrapped in emotive passages that cut through in bristling, sparkling formations.

A returning visitor, Haen reimagines “Lee” through a new lens where the Isle of Skye represents a magnificent sonic vision. Familiar motifs float across rocky percussive outcrops where violin passages permeate the lush verdant landscape and pulsating waves crash against the shoreline in elemental force. Meeting Molly & Mango forge a new friendship where subtle textures and reversed fragments crystalise into new sonic shards. Beloved for his combination of musicality and groove, Deeparture debuts on Clubsonica Records with 'Propellor | Rolls Royce'. Dominique Vijverberg, better known as Deeparture, is an electronic music producer from The Netherlands. His penchant for crafting melodic house and progressive minded sounds has earned praise from the underground's premiere tastemakers. Eelke Kleijn, Joris Voorn, Lane 8 and Hernan Cattaneo have all chimed in with play and support for Deeparture's transcendent sound, which has found a home on the genre's elite imprints such as Anjunabeats, Days Like Nights and This Never Happened. Also, an accomplished DJ, the Utrecht resident has programmed music for his country's trendiest venues, alongside top tier talents such as Guy J, Einmusik and Tinlicker. Now embarking on yet another high-profile project, Deeparture debuts on Clubsonica Records with a two-track showcase alongside a remix from GMJ.

Destined to be a highlight in Deeparture's meticulous discography, it is the melodic stylings of the title selection which get the release underway. Rhythmically charged from the outset, it's undulating cadence, striking vocal phrases and character rich groove set the piece on a course for aural enlightenment. Emotive chord changes and dynamic stabs rise across the first act, carrying momentum and mood into the main break. Pitch bending effects delight across the centrepiece, eventually melting down to the creation's symphonic motifs and esoteric moods, as a timely drum roll and rising sonics unite for a tasteful crescendo and balmy finale.

The lone interpretation of 'Propellor' is provided by GMJ who makes his label debut. Based in Melbourne, Australia GMJ aka Gavin Griffin has been a primary figure in the progressive house scene for over a decade. His passion for deep and emotive electronic music has seen him land releases on the industry's most esteemed imprints. From Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music to Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, UK behemoth Anjunadeep and his own meanwhile imprint, it's GMJ's storytelling style that continues to surprise and inspire even the genre's most discerning fans. Now following his latest Proton Music vehicle 'Rise Above', the Melbourne resident debuts on a Clubsonica with a thrilling take on 'Propellor'. Adding more of a progressive state of mind, the Aussie artist carves out a dynamic groove adorned with firing percussive, enlightening vocal fragments and fresh rhythmic themes. Hypnotic arps emerge as the first movement takes shapes, adding a meditative quality to its dance floor inspired framework. Coming to full fruition during the main break, the kaleidoscopic theme opens up, rising triumphantly towards a classy crescendo and smooth yet exhilarating final act.

Adding further depth to the release is the second and final original 'Rolls Royce'. Beginning with beautifully contoured bass lines and neatly manicured percussion, it's deeper design delights as the groove gets filled in and harmonic layers descend over the framework. Glassy arps and glowing effects flow through subtle modulation, as orchestral sonics and ghostly wails steal the air leading into the main break. Complete with reflective qualities, the centrepiece sits as the most emotive moment on the release, effortlessly transferring its heartfelt vibe to the dance floor and rounding the EP out on a strong note. An immaculate sounding release from Deeparture once again, who makes his Clubsonica Records debut in fine style here.

Clubsonica Records opens the fall season by welcoming Golan Zocher back to the label for a new single. The Colombian born, Israel based artist makes progressive music that breaks boundaries, moves feet and twists minds. Since making his label debut in 2017, Golan has found a comfortable home on Clubsonica, releasing two remixes and a single across two calendar years. Also finding a home on Beatfreak, Or Two Strangers and Proton Music, Golan now lands back on Clubsonica with a new single entitled Ready to Fly', alongside remixes from Navar and Stereo Underground.

Beginning with the original mix, it is Golan's masterstroke to collaborate and introduce the sublime vocals of Rona. Hailing from Israel and an artist of profound talent, she injects the piece with authentic soul and emotion, as Golan's warm grooves and impassioned musicality provide the perfect dance floor vehicle. Rona's breathy wails come in waves, effortlessly drifting through a forest of detailed percussion and tranquil tonal themes, before reaching a serene and spiritually uplifting apex across the second of two breaks and a powerful finale.

Making his label debut and providing the first interpretation of Ready to Fly' is Navar. As one of the underground's most creative talents the Dutch artist has shaped a sound all his own. His emotive musicality and organic design have led to signings on Guy J's Lost and Found Records, Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, Nick Warren's Hope Recordings and Cid Inc's Replug Records. Now fresh off his Land of Caya' EP for Belgium's EDGE, Navar makes his Clubsonica debut with an inspired rendition of Ready to Fly'. Spanning ten magical minutes, Navar's consciousness-expanding conversion of musical ideas resonates on a profound level, as he effortlessly melds rugged dance floor minded grooves with fiery percussion and otherworldly effects. Reprocessed for aural enlightenment, Rona's vocals drift across the rumbling framework, weaving their way through an unpredictable array of atmospheric swells and melodic fragments before an expansive break spearheads an enlightening apex and intergalactic finale.

The release concludes with Stereo Underground also making his label debut and providing the final interpretation of Ready to Fly'. Famed for releases on Balance Music, Beat Boutique, Lost and Found, Sudbeat and UV, the Israeli artist sits firmly in progressive music's elite class of producers. Also, a favourite of the genre's premiere tastemakers, Stereo Underground has a long list of supporters, including Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J and John OO Fleming. Now in a year that has seen the Tel Aviv resident release just one remix he makes his Clubsonica debut with a stylish rendition of Ready to Fly'. Carried by an indie inspired framework, Stereo Underground juxtaposes Rona's spirited wails over broken beats, striking stabs and hopeful atmospherics. Coming to full fruition across a two-minute break, the vocal narrative continues to expand, working in perfect unison with meditative melodies and rising modulation, eventually reaching a tasteful crescendo as the groove drops for a thumping conclusion. Also included for the less vocally inclined is an instrumental version which adds further depth and variety to the release. It rounds out a welcome return to Clubsonica for Golan Zocher, who continues to be one of progressive music's most beloved and sought-after artists.

A respected name within the progressive house fraternity, Forerunners makes a welcome return to Meanwhile with his first full release in the shape of the "Ancient Methods" EP.

Operating out of his Arizona home, Brenden LaBonte has consistently found himself at the forefront of a distinctive underground house sound with his Forerunners soubriquet. An advocate of the quality over quantity' maxim and a sound that is full of maturity and quality, the US artist has seen his music allied to a plethora of high-profile imprints that include Anjunadeep, Silk Music, and Black Hole Recordings.

Now returning to GMJ and Matter's flagship imprint after a spell-binding interpretation of Mike Isai's "Home" in July 2021, Meanwhile's 21st release sees Forerunners open his "Ancient Methods" EP with the mesmerising title track. Full of melodic poise and rhythmic interplay, a driving beat and tight off-beat percussion heralds a dynamic opening before a mechanic bassline and syncopated groove create the foundation for delicate motifs to lilt their way across the 8-minute track with ease. Delay-infused effects and pitched synth add to the aural atmosphere at the breakdown as a sustained pad holds sway throughout to create a subtle tension and hypnotic vibe.

The complex rhythmic foundation that infuses the oxymoronic "Light in the Darkness" is a powerful forerunner for the deep melodic melange to follow. As running bassline and swirling effects build, a dizzying breakdown of looped arpeggio provides sonic intrigue and bright, uplifting zenith. Exploding into the third movement, an hypnotic melody sits against oppressive bass and rhythm to create a magical track.

Continuing the dark rhythmic narrative of its predecessors, "Valis" provides another sonic tapestry filled with texture and innovation. Beneath a ticking percussive groove and chest-thumping kick, an effects-laden and pitched oscillator bassline reveal themselves across the 6-minute offering as a mesmerising arp creates a powerful melodic presence in the mid-range. Science-fiction inspired effects that the Future Sound of London would be proud of, infuse the breakdown as the second half drops into the huge bass-heavy underpinning once more.

Redolent in modern and innovative production technique and a cutting-edge sound, Forerunners brings a scintillating new approach to "Ancient Methods".

Founded in 2020 Future Avenue is an electronic music imprint which operates under the Sound Avenue umbrella. Sitting alongside fellow subdivisions 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds, Future Avenue looks to provide a home for new and rising talent. With an ethos centred around progressive music and its surrounding derivatives, the label is a platform which gives up and coming artists a chance to showcase their music alongside established veterans as they carve out their own musical identity.

The latest release welcomes French producer Arnold T. & Belgian producer Alain Pauwels to the label with their collab production "Nexus 8". The original mix already got a lot of support in several sets from Hernan Cattaneo. Weird Sounding Dude, Ewan Rill and Teleport-X got invited to do a remix.
