Especially appreciated the careful ending over the  last couple of minutes. Instead of a simple fade of all voices together, parts seem fo recede to reveal the rich interplay of background voices. Special and beautifully wrought :)

Another venue for Warmth to showcase ambient and dub music's finest, Archives welcomes Heidelberg’s Luis Miehlich. The German’s debut LP, Silences, is the first production under his birth name rather than “woolookologie,” which he released with once before on Mango Alley. Alongside breathtaking collaborations with SineRider and Erder, Starlight’s pleasant atmosphere and delicate plucks serve as the perfect score to drift away to.

Adrift is Robert Farrugia's 7th album, and his third release on the Archives imprint. The album is a departure from his previous electroacoustic works to a more minimalistic approach in the vein of Geotic (Baths) and Helios.

It touchingly discusses the feelings of uncertainty and optimistic doubt that come with maturation and onset adulthood. The fifth track, Daylight Saving, was composed alongside Robert's brother, Matthew, to whom the album is dedicated to.

Place Language is an international non-profit compilation album project inspired by the themes found in Robert Macfarlane’s widely-acclaimed book ‘Landmarks’. In particular it focuses on the book’s extensive topographic glossaries, the “word-hoard” of depictive landscape terms gathered from 30 different languages, dialects and sub-dialects around Britain & Ireland and divided into sections by type of terrain (Flatlands, Uplands, Waterlands, Coastlands, Underlands, Northlands, Edgelands, Earthlands and Woodlands). Relying on these topograms, or “tiny place poems”, as creative prompts, Place Language seeks to both inspire a renewed interest in our surroundings and reinvigorate our appreciation for the audible textures & patterns that characterize a place in keeping with the book’s stated desire to “re-wild” our vocabulary.

The collection features the work of 28 different sound-artists, field recordists, and musicians from around the globe each of whom selected a Landmarks topogram and recorded an impression of it thus adding rich new aspects of dimensionality through the act of sonification. These selections cover all nine of the book’s glossaries along with place-words of new coinage as prompted by the blank one which Macfarlane leaves at the end of the book for readers to fill in from their own experience. The end result is a truly global and collaborative survey of place, language, and sound.

Línia / Pedra / Paisatge / Solc has been finally released by the wonderful Whitelabrecs run by the super talented Harry Towell. You can already listen, purchase and support my latest work based on a very specific landscape.

This special limited edition release is in a run of 100 copies, modeled around the classic gatefold vinyl LP. It includes printed front, rear and inner sleeves featuring photography by myself, along with a card sleeve which houses a printed vinyl-effect CDr.

This is the outcome of my residency at Culla during Fall 2018 and marks the second collaboration with Double Bass player Rafa Ramos Sania. Album has been mastered by Pedro Pina. The whole thing has been possible thanks to Culla, mágica y medieval, Espai Nivi Collblanc, Mariano Poyatos Mora.
