This release marks a significant moment, serving as the second compilation assembled by Jus10 and Pat Flanders, whose initial selection, "Mindwaves Plantation" (2008), was the very catalyst that sparked the birth of the Mindwaves Music label. Over a decade later, ChillinBerlin returns to showcase the label's matured soundscape and new artist roster.

This essential sampler is a deep dive into the more cerebral and intricate realms of modern electronic music. It deliberately spans the atmospheric depth of experimental electronica and the complex, fragmented rhythms of IDM, culminating in a selection of tracks affectionately termed braindance.

The ChillinBerlin duo meticulously maps the currents between glitch, melody, and rhythm, showcasing visionary producers who push the boundaries of sound design. The result is a high-fidelity sonic journey designed for inner exploration—a rewarding soundtrack for the mind's eye.

Most of the big shore places were closed now and there were hardly any lights except the shadowy, moving glow of a ferryboat across the Sound. And as the moon rose higher the inessential houses began to melt away until gradually I became aware of the old island here that flowered once for Dutch sailors’ eyes—a fresh, green breast of the new world. Its vanished trees, the trees that had made way for his  house, had once pandered in whispers to the last and greatest of all human dreams; for a transitory enchanted moment man must have held his breath in the presence of this continent, compelled into an aesthetic contemplation he neither understood nor desired, face to face for the last time in history with something commensurate to his capacity for wonder. And as I sat there brooding on the old, unknown world, I thought of his wonder when he first picked out the green light at the end of Daisy’s dock. He had come a long way to this blue lawn and his dream must have seemed so close that he could hardly fail to grasp it. He believed in the green light, the orgastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that’s no matter—tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther…. And one fine morning—— So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past. This is the first Shango Records single for 2020 and comes by BIGz & Soire with the help of Kiano & Below Bagkok. The package is complimented with amazing remixes by Da3boul, Jean Vayat, Mula, Haris Kate, Nhii and Rabih Rizk. The tracks on this EP combine sounds from this region, as well as Asia, delivering 2 versions of the title track for day time and night time adventures. The Day version is a sensual flow, perfect for your sunset. The Night version is not only faster but has intense violin parts, working great to light up the dance floor, as it has been tested since last years festival season. The track 'Be My Baby' is an emotional story using woodwind, guitar and vocal elements. Let the music speak for itself.

Totonac is a Totonacan language cluster of Mexico, spoken across a number of central Mexican states by the Totonac people. It is a Mesoamerican language and shows many of the traits which define the Mesoamerican Linguistic Area. Along with some other indigenous languages, it is recognized as an official language of Mexico, though as a single language. The Totonac people are an indigenous group native to Totonacapan along the Gulf of Mexico. The Totonac people share their territory with the Nahua, Otomí, and Tepehua all of which have communities within the region. Totonacapan is located in east central Mexico between present day Puebla and Veracruz. The people of Totonac have migrated to various cities such as Veracruz, Puebla, and Mexico City. Totonac populations are also found in colonized regions of Uxpanapa in southern Veracruz and the state of Quintana Roo in the eastern part of the Yucatán Peninsula. The Totonac inhabit two different types of environments: cool and rainy mesas of high altitude and warm and humid coastal lowlands. Mcfly (MX) can be found in the shadows of Puebla, Mexico. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks will have you question your existence. Juliano Gomez, Landhouse, Beyhude and Rose Sunset are ordinary people that love shadows.
