Making his label debut and providing the lone interpretation of 'Tuareg' is Andrea Cassino. Beginning with his highly regarded Cassino and Laben project and eventually shifting to his solo work in 2009, Andrea lays claim to an impressive discography highlighted by releases on Sudbeat Music (as Nocturna w/ Danny Lloyd), Balkan Connection, meanwhile, Proton Music and Soundteller Records. The world's top tastemakers have also noted the Italian's production prowess with John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J all chiming in with support. Now presenting his first project of 2021, Andrea debuts on Clubsonica with a smooth rendition of 'Tuareg'. Engaging from the outset, momentous kicks and rhythmic pulses converge for a fluid foundation, while hypnotic percussion and swirling sonics bring texture to the groove. Building an emotive narrative across the first act, nostalgic melodies and hazy harmonics unite for impassioned moments. Sitting at the heart of the journey, the centrepiece delights with its timeless appeal, where billowing bass swells rise amidst a cloud of colourful effects, as the beats drop for a haunting finale.

Beloved for his combination of groove and melody, Orsen returns to Cid Inc’s Replug Records for a new artist showcase. Hailing from the UK, but currently calling Austria home, Orsen has been one of his country’s premiere progressive house producers for the better part of a decade. On the strength of early tracks such as ‘Look Twice’ and ‘Gyre’, Orsen forged a relationship with Replug which has seen him develop into one of the label’s core artists, while also operating as its manager and A&R. Noted for his meticulous detail and timeless dance floor productions, Orsen's craft has continued to evolve since his 2015 debut, making each one of his creations an absorbing experience. Genre tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J have been steadfast with support along the way; while Balance, Mango Alley and Proton Music have also served as home’s for Orsen’s elusive sound. Now, following an eighteen month hiatus, Orsen returns to his comfortable home of Replug with a much-anticipated three-track showcase entitled ‘Night Visions’.

Orsen’s craft shines through vividly on EP opener and title selection ‘Night Visions’. With a saga-like story to tell, its looping hypnotism and smooth rebounding rhythms are cleverly coaxed, making for a powerful club track that splits time between the energetic and emotive. Not without grandiose flair; it’s a big, bold and magnificent break which sits at the core of the journey, flowing through percolating arps and retro-overlays, tactfully building tension as waves of drums spearhead a pulsating finale.

The space-dance foray 'Afterlight' follows and further cements Orsen's dancefloor minded ethos. Its neo-saccharine drive is anchored by rocketing beats and percussive rides, tastefully building to a wild-eyed intensity of prismatic arps and soaring synths. With an energy that exudes confidence, Orsen pulls from his expansive repertoire as the main break takes shape, infusing shimmering synth swagger with warm key-changing basslines for the ultimate dancefloor rush.

Rounding out the release and sitting on a modern progressive perch of its own are the fresh aesthetics and eager optimism of ‘Hope'. Here, Orsen’s pristine design and dreamlike elegance conjure up utopian visions, while a bed of pulsating beats and swaying percussion provide a bridge into a thoughtful second act. Further revealing Orsen’s creative attitude, the feel-good interlude breaks into a rich textural rain of melodic colour, one where euphoria awaits with arms raised and eyes closed.

Operating at the peak of his creative powers, Orsen continues to impress with his latest Replug offering, a three-track showcase where his melodic acumen is clear and gripping throughout.
