James Shinra is a UK underground favourite who has been crafting cultured electro and techno tracks on labels like Feel My Bicep, Craigie Knowes and We're Going Deep for a decade. He takes his futuristic sounds to cult events like Houghton, where he plays this summer. Meanwhile, Richie Blacker was forged in the Irish underground and collides rave, techno, house and 90s vibes into nostalgic yet melodic sounds on Armada Music, Anjunadeep and SHEN. The brilliantly uplifting 'Rapture' opens up with an electrifying rhythm that soars through the stars. Cosmic pads bring a balmy edge, smooth, heavenly vocals are drenched in soul, and deft breakbeats tumble through the sky to keep things moving before rugged synth sequences power onwards in driving fashion. The equally sophisticated 'Ukiyo' has celestial synth phrases looping and twinkling like stars as crisp, snappy breakbeats provide the sleek forward motion. Add some pitched-up vocal details and you have a blissed-out post-rave sound that drenches you in subtle euphoria.

Kicking off musically with 'Butterfly, this wonderfully infectiously warm gem encapsulates you from the off, as its glow and aura ooze out the good stuff! A subtly building structure layers itself with pads, arps and a hypnotic groove, locking you in to its dreamlike soundscape. Hints of wobbliness with cool fx, and a gritty deft touch on the bass add texture as the tension builds. A top lead really lifts this track, and will no doubt cause a big fuss this summer and beyond.

The second track 'Nights Of Tel Aviv' takes us deeper, and captures the mystical Israeli capital cities vibe, as a swaggeringly cool magic voyage takes you on its journey, before the uplifting breakdown breathes through a was of melody with a hint of melancholy.
