A firm favourite of the progressive and melodic house faithful, Sebastian Sellares has consistently cast a bright light on his production credentials. With of growing body of work that has seen outstanding releases for the likes of Paul Thomas' UV, Cid Inc's Replug and GMJ & Matter's Meanwhile, Sebastian's "Jinsei / Zen State" EP was a notable Proton Music highlight in October 2020, including remixes from Matias Chilano and the iconic, Nick Muir. Now returning with a second original EP, "Conviction" is founded upon a metronomic top-line and heavy beat before filtered synths subtly enter the fray. Full of wonderful sound effects and sonic character that grabs listener attention, eerie textures add to the collage before a sublime arpeggio makes its mark. Rising and falling, it reaches a powerful crescendo in the final movement. A vibrant dynamism and shimmering melody immediately provide a lighter air to "Reverse Call". Still characterised by a familiar sonic narrative, a strong arpeggio and free-flowing synth sequence adds emotion aplenty at the breakdown before a snare roll heralds the return of a mesmerising dancefloor groove and rhythmic brio.

An artist familiar artist to the underground progressive house cognoscenti, Imran Khan has consistently created a portfolio of music that contains the musical hallmarks of a talented producer. Almost 200 production credits bear witness to that success over an 8-year period. Proton Music has played its own part in showcasing the Imran Khan sound as 2019's "Organic" and "Sunsweat" EPs testify. Remixes for the likes of LADS, GMJ, Dmitry Molosh, and Petar Dundov in late 2021 are now joined by a typically atmospheric interpretation of "Conviction". Incorporating the atmospheric textures and soundscapes of the original, Imran has turned them into a hypnotic rolling dancefloor groove that scintillates with its delayed arps and beautifully crafted counterpoint keys that drift across the breakdown landscape. The resultant combination of rhythm and melody is a tribute to the UK producer's sublime technique and innate production talent.

Subconscious Tales has always revelled in music that comes from ‘carefully crafted compositions that embrace the energy of darkness and beauty.' Able to translate this mission statement in a double century of releases, the Latvian producer has been a Proton Music regular with such standout moments as 2019's "Magnectares", 2020's "Soulreaper" and April 2022's "Experience" EPs. A portfolio bookended by remixes for David Calo in 2017 and Dabeat in mid-2022, Subconscious Tales now returns with a beautifully crafted interpretation of "Conviction" that bristles with energy and hi-hat urgency. Crafting a huge bassline groove, a familiar arpeggio from Sebastian Sellares' track makes its presence felt, building in imperceptible fizzing energy. Adding to the original, a swathe of new production material and sympathetic new melodies are grafted to original components in seamless fashion to create a majestic and powerful new remix.

An artist with a long and esteemed career within the underground dance industry, Chris Cargo is one of electronic music’s great innovators. Always at the bleeding edge of the progressive and deep house scene, he returns to his If You Wait imprint with a full-length album of ground-breaking breadth and diversity that showcases true “Resistance”.
A seasoned DJ and producer from Belfast, Cargo has seen his music reach far beyond the boundaries of his Northern Ireland home that have seen him enrapture crowds across all corners of the globe since the 1990s. From Shanghai and Siberia to Malaysia and Mexico for the likes of Smirnoff, & Renaissance, Cargo has thrilled with a series of meticulously crafted and spellbinding sets. A celebrated production career has run contemporaneously with Cargo seeing his music signed to a plethora of blue-chip imprints that include John 00 Fleming’s JOOF, Paul Thomas’ UV and Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden, as well as the likes of Mango Alley, Stellar Fountain and Flow Vinyl. Supported by DJs across the world, particular attention has been paid by the dance industry’s glitterati that features John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Laurent Garnier, to name but an elite few.
Using his own imprint as a vehicle for his music and a wealth of other high-profile artists, Chris Cargo now debuts his “Resistance” album on If You Wait.

Chris hopes to give his royalties from the album to a charity very close to his heart in Belfast.

Clubsonica Records opens the month of October by welcoming TAYLAN to the label for his debut EP. Based in Los Angeles, TAYLAN first emerged in 2021 with a series of melodic house and techno releases via his musicbytaylan imprint. Immediately recognized for his astral sound, TAYLAN would go on a creative swell across the next two calendar years, landing key projects via Beatfreak, Manual Music, Steyoyoke and more, making him a rising talent to watch going forward. Now, continuing on that upwards trajectory, TAYLAN makes his Clubsonica debut with ‘Moringa | Earthbound', alongside remixes from Vešča and Andre Moret.

Much lauded for his melodic sound, TAYLAN continues to explore that narrative on ‘Moringa'. Wrapped within a smooth DJ friendly intro are punchy beats, pulsating basslines and a myriad of orbiting effects. The American's storyboarding takes hold as charming atmospheres, creamy arps and trance-inspired melodies emerge across the first act, carrying with them a sense of anticipation and emotion. The main break showcases TAYLAN's penchant for evocative musicality, as fragmented melodies continue to emerge amidst glowing atmospheric refrains and buzzing tones, eventually giving way to a groovy drop and uplifting finale. The companion piece ‘Earthbound' continues the progressive tone set by its predecessor and lands with a smooth hypnotic nature. Possessing a mesmerizing undercurrent, TAYLAN blends entrancing percussion and meandering melodic concepts over liquid-like grooves and sparkling effects, creating a mature no frills arrangement leading into the second act. Its transcendent appeal builds across a dreamy break, where cinematic pads and ghostly vocals converge, perfectly setting up a smooth drop as rolling arps and chugging rhythms unite for a colourful final act.

The lone interpretation of ‘Moringa' is provided by Vešča. Hailing from Argentina, Vešča has become a fixture in her country's burgeoning nightlife, sharing the stage with Eli&Fur, Gorje Hewek, Miss Monique, Korolova and more. Also, a highly respected producer, Vešča's creative blend of progressive, melodic and organic house has found a home on Mango Alley, Shanti Radio and Traful. Now, adding Clubsonica to her resume, Vešča debuts on the label with an inspired rendition of ‘Moringa'. Beginning with a buoyant kick and chugging groove, the fast rising Argentine channels the melodic energy of the original through panoramic synths and percolating arps, before the main break delivers a mood lifting excursion which perfectly sets up a tastefully timeless finale. 

The release concludes with Andre Moret for the lone interpretation of ‘Earthbound'. As one of Brazil's most highly regarded progressive house artists, Andre has achieved many successes across his five-year career. World class DJs Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren have been regular supporters, while his inimitable productions have found a home on Deepwibe Underground, Plattenbank, The Soundgarden, Univack and more. Now, following an EP for Sebastian Busto's Moonlight imprint, Andre makes a welcome return to Clubsoncia with a groovy rendition of ‘Earthbound'. Focusing on a less conventional monochrome, Andre goes deep and techy for what results in a thrilling eight-minute journey. Dark rebounding rhythms and deep chugging basslines set the course for waves of flickering percussion, drifting vocals and growling stabs. Looking to bring a greater emotional response, the main break shifts the narrative through clustered arps, wispy effects and glowing pads, before a clever coax of tension-filled modulation perfectly sets up a stripped drop and smooth meditative finale. A heady interpretation from Andre, which rounds out an excellent label debut for TAYLAN, an artist who continues to be one of the USA's most hotly tipped progressive house talents.

Madloch's 3rd Avenue label welcomes Matías Delóngaro back to the label with his debut EP, "Mi Soul". The Argentine producer made his first appearance on the label in 2021 with the "We Are The Future" compilation and has since released several EPs on our Future Avenue sublabel. Since then, he has also released music on labels such as Mi-Sol DEEP, Stellar Fountain, Another Life Music, Nordic Voyage Recordings, Cigarette Music, Dreamers, and many more.

The title track of this EP was remixed by Noble Spirits from Mexico, owners of the Dialtone Records label, who have released music on labels such as Flug Lab, Keyfound, Where The Shadow Ends, Zenebona, and many more. Argentine producer Kalima delivers the second remix for "Mi Soul". He recently released several productions on the label, such as two originals on the "Three Of A Kind EP" and a remix for Mars Monero. Apart from this, he has released his music on labels such as Hoomidas, MNL, Balkan Connection, and many more.

"Windy" is the second original track from Matías, and it received a remix by Aroma (IND), who makes his label debut with this. He has released his music on labels such as Cafe De Anatolia LAB, For Senses Records, Lump Records, and WORDS NOT ENOUGH.

PREMIERE: Niko Ava - Perspectives (Original Mix) [BALKAN CONNECTION]

Born in Rosario in the province of Santa Fe, Lucas Degiorgi has been involved in the underground dance scene for over a decade. With music signed to such esteemed imprints as One Of A Kind, Balkan Connection and Mistique Music, it is a pleasure to welcome the Argentinean to Particles. Maintaining a rich percussive narrative that flows through the quartet of original tracks with its roots in South American rhythms, "Charger" builds with ease via heavy bassline groove, powerful synth motifs and syncopated patterns. Textured pads, reverb-rich vocals and white-noise effects add to the potent aural collage. Accompanied by heavy beat and evocative breakdown, sparkling delayed synths permeate "Meteoro" in moving patterns, while subtle melodic layers add intrigue aplenty. The ambient effects and birdsong of "Iguazú" trip alongside free-flowing jazz phrases and layered vocal phrasing to create a unique affair. A 4/4 kick, off-beat percussion and recurring synth trope provide familiar club-friendly rhythms in a highly original piece. "Midnight" returns to more traditional progressive house fare as dominant beat and off-beat hats and shakers lay the foundation of flowing pads and repeated motifs create an atmosphere that lends itself well to the title. Subtle additions post-breakdown add further to the eerie vibe and overall track evolution.

No stranger to the Particles roster, Blood Groove & Kikis bid a welcome return to the label. Regulars on Silk Music, Spring Tube and Perplexity Music, a 2015 debut remixing Australian star, GMJ, began an impressive Particles portfolio. Further reworkings of Andre Sobota, East Café and Matt Rowan & Robbie Lowe in mid-2020 has continued an impressive collection as the Latvian duo now return to Particles with a stellar reworking of "Charger". Full of trademark silky smooth production skills, a strong beat and sublime rolling groove form the backbone for a chugging, head-shaking remix to drive forward with heavy bass pattern in tow. Richly textured pads add to the sonic collage as echoes of Degiorgi's original ripple across the mid-range. A swathe of original production from the Latvian pair can be heard throughout as the track reaches new and dynamic intensity in the second half.

2020 newcomers to the underground production scene, Peruvian and Mexican duo, Stranger Tourists, have made quite an impression with their distinctive organic and deep house sound. With a lofty ambition to "tell stories and express emotions through music", the pair have hit the ground running after their "Call of the Ancients EP" for Mirrors Label in January. Going on to see their work featured for the likes of RYNTH, Suprematic and The Purr, Stranger Tourists make their Particles debut with an imaginative reworking of "Charger" that captures the organic house vibe of the original with its ambient birdsong while adding an array of new melodic production material that gives their remix a melancholic air. Full of rhythmic charm with driving beat, reverb-soaked vocal phrasing and acoustic guitar add further weight to an opulent remix.

Lucas Degiorgi has provided an impressive debut "Journey" with a quartet of originals and remixes from Blood Groove & Kikis and Stranger Tourists.
