Gux Jimenez returns to Clubsonica Records for his debut EP entitled 'Remanente | Raices'. Hailing from Cartagena, the Colombian artist first appeared on the Colombian imprint in February of this year with a remix of 'Traumtanz' by Movemé. Laying claim to releases on Droid9, Ghost Digital, Nueva and Round Triangle, Gux's emotive creations have also found favour with some of the world's most highly regarded DJs, most notably Above and Beyond and Armin Van Buuren. Now embarking on the most anticipated release of his career, Gux returns to Clubsonica with his first original project alongside remixes from Dabeat and Stan Kolev. 

Beginning with 'Remanente' Gux's musical prowess becomes readily apparent as he crafts a stunning blend of pulsating rhythms and hypnotic themes. Built around a romping, funk filled groove it's the astral motifs which eventually grab a hold of you. Smooth yet exhilarating, its poignant themes evolve subtly into a wall of electric arps and ghostly pads. A well-crafted break is the icing on the cake as a cinematic, almost spooky tension begins rising. Sure to capture the full attention of your dance floor it sets the stage for a colossal build and euphoric lead to complete the final act. The companion piece 'Raices' proves to be the perfect complement with its wonky, modern flare. Its warm, punchy beats and spacious groove command a big presence at the outset, before a kaleidoscopic theme quickly takes you into hypnotic territory. Complementary harmonic drifts play off the esoteric motifs, eventually reaching an emotive apex during a short but timely break, paving the way for an exhilarating finale.

The lone interpretation of 'Remanente' is provided by Dabeat who returns to the label for his second appearance. The Colombian artist and B4U Records label boss is one of his country's most exciting progressive house talents. Whether producing solo or with frequent studio partner Kamilo Sanclemente, Dabeat is renowned for his smooth emotive creations. Appearances on Beatfreak Recordings and FSOE UV highlight his discography with regular support coming in from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now returning to Clubsonica for his second remix, Dabeat puts his own unique twist on 'Remanente'. Beginning with a buoyant kick and galloping groove, the Colombian artist slowly works in mystical themes and cosmic effects. Rolling rhythms and harmonic overlays only enhance its electric nature, perfectly transitioning the piece into a second act where esoteric synths and angelic vocal pads cue a tripped out break to elevate the mood of your dance floor.

The release concludes with Stan Kolev returning to the label and providing the lone interpretation of 'Raices'. The Bulgarian artist has been a mainstay of the electronic music underground for well over a decade, with releases on Armada, Blackhole and Spinnin highlighting his discography. More recently Stan has been dominating Beatport's Progressive House charts with a string of outings for Beatfreak, Movement Recordings his own Outta Limits imprint. Now following up a contribution to the label's 2018 'MMW Sampler', Stan returns to Clubsonica with a fresh take on 'Raices'. Anchored by a warm, well carved groove and firing percussion, there's an electric mood from the outset. As drifting atmospheres and fragmented vocals descend over the framework, sweeping effects and tranquil motifs tantalize the senses. Anticipation unfolds as the main break progresses, with warm bass swells and clever modulation working in perfect unison, before getting washed away as energy shifts towards a magical drop. A stunning interpretation from Stan Kolev which caps off another must have release from Clubsonica Recordings, who have most certainly gotten 2019 off to a great start.

Premiere: Altriparty & Hypsidia - Mama (TÂCHES Remix) [Glitter Cowboy]

Welcoming new artists to Particles is always a privilege and with Hansgod, the French artist delivers his excellent "Border" EP with remixes from Turkey and Italy.

With a desire to bridge the gap between techno, deep and progressive house, Hansgod delights with a penchant for layered sounds and a broad sonic palette. With music signed to Colorize, Outta Limits and Traum, and support from a raft of heavy-hitters including John Digweed, Robert Babicz and Laurent Garnier, Hansgod now debuts on Particles. The title track is a dynamic and innovative affair as a pounding beat, crisp snare and cleverly spaced bass groove, provide the foundation for stratified layers of sound to build easily across the six-minute track. Arpeggios, bell-chimed motifs and textured pads all combine in a sonic collage while an analogue motif provides a focal point in the second half. "Bucolic" opens with a hypnotic bassline paired with a striking 808-snare and angular percussion before a beautiful chord progression provides an aural link to the title. Gated synths, soft vocal phrasing and a flowing free-form guitar passage keep interest high in the second half to create an intriguing and intelligently worked track.

Operating out of his Istanbul home, a whirlwind of activity since a May 2013 debut has seen Erdi Irmak feature heavily on Particles, not least with his "You're Either Guilty or Not Guilty" album in August 2014. Moreover, the recent "Hidden Arcadia, Vol. 1" on Proton Music showcased a quartet of original tracks of the highest quality. Following on from remixes for the likes of Tuxedo, Sebastian Busto and, most recently, Mio and His Flute, Erdi returns to Particles with an outstanding interpretation of "Border". Crafting a wonderful percussive groove and rich bass groove, Erdi Irmak has transformed Hansgod's work by creating a sublimely textured offering that takes the essential elements of the original and builds upon them. As the bassline builds in intensity, so do a chorus of low frequency oscillated and panned pads before a glissando lead that has its style firmly in Hansgod's original, supplies a moment of pure quality.

From Italo-Albanian heritage, andlez has been involved in the music industry as a DJ and producer for almost two decades. Finding his place in the underground dance scene with a plethora of releases, some 650 production credits can be found alongside the andlez name for a host of impressive imprints that include LW Recordings, Budenzauber and OMENI. Furthermore, February 2019's "Retrocede" showcases a 22-track full-length album of driving minimal rhythms. Making his Particles debut, the andlez interpretation of "Bucolic" is full of the intricate and dynamic rhythms that are symbolic of his work. Building in intensity, vocal cuts from Hansgod's original appear in striking repetition before a filtered arp moves into aural range. As a swathe of motifs and new melodies converge at the mid-point, the second half builds once more in intelligent fashion before reaching a crescendo into the fourth movement.

With cross-border cooperation in full flow, Hansgod can rely on full support from Erdi Irmak and andlez.
